I was told I would get two walkthroughs before closing, I only got one so I didn’t see that the fence gate was on the wrong side of the house, no one told me that they only put grass down 20 feet from the back of your house so I have a good 10 feet of mud when it rains, wasn’t aware fence would not encompass the back door area. Read everything and ask the questions that you may think are stupid

While there is a warranty, it is really difficult to have anything fixed. I have to follow up like a bill collector to have contractors come to fix anything (aside from Casa mechanical - they have been AMAZING), and its really, really annoying. Some of the materials used don't equate to how expensive our house was, and it leaves a bad taste in my mouth that its so hard to get anything fixed.

They don’t do anything over the bare minimum… unless you want to pay an arm and a leg. Avoid Lennar, Lennar Mortgage, and Lennar Title they’re all equally as bad and have horrendous customer service.

Overall, I am happy with the home. I like the floor plan and it works for me very well. Some things that I would note is that there were things that would have been nice to add, window screens, back door, medicine cabinets, entrance closet, and full grass coverage of back yard. Otherwise my buying experience was good.

The lack of communication

The lack of communication - such as never telling us when you wanted us to pay the energy bill (even though we had been asking you and the energy company). So ins instead, our home lost power. Thankfully we were home and could rectify it immediately, but as a military family, imagine if we weren't? Food isn't cheap these days.

Arriona harless was our home consultant and she did an outstanding job. By go so far as to looking for the perfect house for my family and me. She insured it was in our budget and the space that we were looking for. Even after we got the house she insured that everything was going well with HOA and surrounding areas. And she still keeps in touch with us to ensure everything is going well. She went beyond all expectations.

The team I worked with included people in San Antonio and in Austin. The only person that did their job on time and checked on us to make sure everything was ok was Thomas G. Everyone else didn’t know how or where to do their job correct. Starting off with the loan advisor who always had to ask a manager to do anything, then he never sent us our paper work for closing so when it was time to close and we were almost keys in hand that were like we need more money from y’all! Nope that’s not what this contract says, so they went and made a new one and had us waiting there! It was horrible! Then ...

Sorry, when reading this, the truth hurts. limiting the ‘truth’ from reviews is quite rich and unethical business practice. This is the one of many reasons why I ensure to tell everyone I know not to do business with Lennar.

Prices are over-inflated due to the market, but the builder cheaps out along with raising prices. Little things such as lack of outdoor lighting, no appliances, cheap materials, and unclean move in made buying the home feel less accomplishing. Myself and MANY neighbors complain about the rushed, poor quality work put into the homes, especially for paying more than the homes are really worth.

When we bought, I didn’t hear from my sales person at all. They never cleaned the home before giving the keys. I had to go in and clean before I could move in. They never showed me how to change the filter in the attic. They are not good about fixing things. I finally gave up and are fixing things on my own. And finally, what kind of home builders don’t give you screens for windows??? I had to MAKE them on my own! Look at other builders before buying unless you plans to spend A LOT!

The house was not cleaned like I was told it would be. So I still have marks on the floor from the glue for the flooring. And they didn't do a very good job of doing the grass in the backyard. I have more weeds than grass. Other than those few things I am happy with the house. I have only been in the house since June so I hope the rest of the year is good.

Lennar is terrible all the way around starting with local representatives. I have been in my home for over 3 months and work still needs to be done in my front yard. From the start we had to move in with out our yard having SOD in place. Our final walk through was scheduled the same day as closing day ridiculous! Items found that needed repair or touch ups never got completed and our house was turned into us dirty and filthy even tho I was told a cleaning crew would come bye to deep clean the home a Brand new home!

Unfortunately, the emphasis on quickly building homes and making profits, has impacted the quality of the workmanship and the customer experience. This has also caused long standing repair items to be unaddressed after moving in to the property, which negatively impacts the customer experience.

Love the layout of the house, communication between site manager and Mortgage was horrible experience. The model home and your home should be exactly the same. Everything that is included is not included. The Wi-Fi throughout the house was never installed and was told it was not available anymore but on the website it’s included also in the model homes signs inside the house it says it’s included. Five months into the house we are still having major problems.

The only thing I'm not completely happy with is the fact that top soil was never installed under my sod in the yard. It's very obvious because the yard is very bumpy and some areas the grass has died.

San Antonio Lennar was the worst homebuyer experience I’ve encountered with multiple purchases to my credit. Be prepared to pay out of pocket to correct their building errors and hotels for missed closing dates with NO notification.
