Lennar homes are put together by amateur contractors

I closed on my home in February of 2023 and have had multiple issues come up... cracks appeared between the walls and ceiling, flooring lifted up and cracked. spaces showing between floor boards, that was explained as "acceptable" as long as you cant fit a credit card between the spaces. Shoddy paint jobs, and it takes 2-3 weeks to get anything scheduled to try to get the issues fixed. When you say something, you're made to feel like you are imposing on them to fix things that should have been fixed before closing. For the supposed walkthru, was told "you just look for the paint issues, ...

Overall the experience was terrible. Our Lennar salesman never answered her phone. Always rude when we finally got ahold of her she had no idea what was going on. House looks like it was built by a toddler. No attention to details, paint everywhere on outlet covers, my brand new carpet, windows all have paint on them. House was suppose to be cleaned before closing that was never done. Nobody answers the phone to get anything taken care of.

I hope this information is shared with other potential buyers. People must understand that buying a house process, is a for-life transaction, which makes the house buying decision a very important one in your life. In looking back to the time when we closed on our house; it was a very difficult road to get to the point where we are today. We had to make sure the final buyer walk were done, and all details found on the house were notated and addressed. in a timely manner. We hired an independent inspector to inspect the house. All issues found by the independent inspector were mostly ...

Worst home and home buying experience ever

This will be THE LAST time I ever buy a Lennar home and I will tell everyone who asks me, how crappy this house is. We basically only moved forward with the purchase because it was buy this house or be homeless. We pay so much money for a house that comes with the bare minimum. We don't even have a back yard water faucet and live facing a retention area. If that area ever caught fire, we have no way of helping contain that. No window screens, our home inspector was shocked with no screens. The door ways to the restrooms are not wheelchair accessible as they are so narrow. We live in TEXAS ...

I don't know where to begin with this awful journey we had on the home buying process. From lack of communication from the loan processing aspect to the abysmal workmanship done on the house. All I can say is, if you decide to go with Lennar GOOD LUCK AND GET YOUR OWN INSPECTION.

Very Poor, experience, no communication from the Lennar. Had to involve management for every little thing. They did not even care to answer phones on day of closing. I left messages and received a call back after 24 hours, that too after 5 emails cc'ing the management. Lennar Mortgage is most inefficient, Loan officer change rate on you without your knowledge, lie and are dishonest. They cannot answer one intelligent question, and their management is equally dishonest and encourage their unlawful ethics.

This is our 2nd new home buying experience and Lennar is BY FAR the worst builder we have ever dealt with. The quality of work is absolutely atrocious, there's no pride behind their workmanship. They try to save a dollar where they can, which means your home will not have a DOORBELL, a peephole or a microwave. The list could go on for a long time but these are a few examples of just how low they go. The buying process was an absolute nightmare and after talking to neighbors, we're far from the only ones with this experience. I would be embarrassed to work for them and several representatives ...

Get it in writing or it is not true. Get contact info to Construction Manager as soon as you meet your sales person. Hire your own inspector period. Expect closing date to change at least twice. Get extended garage as their standard 2 car garage is smaller than other builders. Prepare for long battle. Over priced for quality you recieve. Not everything is included, not even the instructions or boxes devices come in. REGRET

Issues with water bill, from excessive water use from the sprinklers. I was told the day of the original walk-thru orientation that the water will be turned down b4 my move in, it wasn’t. I have spoken to several members of the staff on the property and I can never get a straight answer. It don’t help being a disabled veteran on a set income to get stuck paying an additional $300 water bill.

My whole experience was horrible. From start to end. Even after I closed the house was gross, the construction guy did not fixed the window that I pointed out during my last walk. They took forever to do the final city inspection even after I had already closed on the house. My gas was cut off because no one informed me that the city had done the inspection several weeks after I closed even though I would call weekly and could never get answers. I will never do business with you again and if it wasn’t because my wife wanted the house in that community I would have given y’all the finger. ...

Buying from Lennar has been one of the most frustrating experiences. They rushed the build of our home, clearly more focused on putting up houses for numbers than on quality. From day one, we were handed dead grass and trees — it looked neglected before we even moved in. When issues come up, they fight you every step of the way. Instead of standing behind their work, they make the process of getting anything fixed extremely difficult. To make matters worse, they only repair drywall cracks once, even though more appear as the house settles. Most recently spilled chemical in my yard and ...

When shopping for the house Koral was great, she was friendly, and took her time to make sure we weren't rushed, she took us to multiple neighborhoods and houses to make sure we found what we thought was going to be the right house. Abraham and Erica made our mortgage process seamless and painless, they were very responsive to any questions we had and were always on top of reaching out when they needed something from us. Was always told never to buy this builder by multiple realtor friends but went ahead anyways because I liked the house itself. Getting a response or getting them to take care of pressing issues was like pulling teeth. If you’re not prepared to continuously harass them for a response on any issue you have don’t buy here. As a first time home buyer this was an extremely disappointing and stressful experience. All these people want is your money, they don’t care about anything else. Good luck getting a hold of anyone once you close as well. Just go look at the community reviews. Now I know ...

I bought 2 homes and had the worst experience with Marshall the loan officer. He treated us like 2nd rate citizens and gate kept the entire process. We are seasoned home purchasers and have never had this worse of an experience. Derek the construction manager was also awful. The house was supposed to be ready for a final walkthru and wasn’t ready, we had to come back. He was complacent and really uncaring. I will do my business with another home builder than Lennar.

I was told like many of my neighbors that we would only get 15 feet of sod. They got full sod and I didn’t. When I finally requested my sod installed… it was too late. There are other houses in the neighborhood that do not have their sod installed yet; but we are too late (don’t understand). The house did not come with towel racks in both bathrooms, no walk in shower door, no fans, no garbage door opener, no sprinklers, no doorbell, no water spout in the back of the house and the other frames of the windows were not painted.
