The entire process was negative. The salesperson was clueless. The loan officers were unprofessional. The construction manager was helpful. The title person would not return my call. She gave me the wrong cost to closing. I can not recommend Lennar to anyone.

Lennar responded:
Garrett, Thank for your providing your feedback. I am sorry for the negative interactions that you have had with Lennar and we would love to be able to improve. Please reach out to corporatecustomercare@lennar.com so that we can discuss this further. - Lennar Corporate Customer Care

I am not sure who and what kind of backwards hiring is happening here, but these are the most unhelpful, most pushy, group of people I have ever dealt with. They are lucky my Home Concierge and loan officer were kind because the entire team outside of them is unorganized and unprofessional. All the way up until closing no one could tell me how much money I had to bring to the signing, no one could find my keys after they figured out the money situation, and I am still having questions and NO ONE from Lennar wants to help they hang up right after I ask a question. All I need to know is who can ...

The home itself, as of today, is a solid house. Do the cabinet doors sit at slightly different heights? Yes. Are some of the angles a little off? Sure. But totally within the price expectations. However, the communication and process was terrible. Delays, failure to communicate said delays until 3 days before closing, no one seems to have answers and half the people I talked to took a while to get back to me, if at all. Glib company line apologies didn't do much to improve it. Worth it? Because i'm here already, absolutely. Would I do this again? No thanks.

There is little attention to detail which leaves the final product looking shabby. Many issues that were identified during the walkthrough were never addressed despite several reminders. Electrical issues were not corrected - let's see what happens when I submit a warranty claim. To be fair, this is my second Lennar house, and the first purchase was a lot smoother although attention to detail was not there either.

Lennar responded:

Experience to close on sale was efficient. After the close communication was patchy at best and still waiting on answers from title. A little bit of the run around

After the close communication was lacking. Multiple messages on the portal and no responses. Called directly as was directed to a supervisor, rhat just went to an answering system. Human contact is difficult person to person. Electronic contact breaks down when people are no longer with the company and the client is not aware.

Probably from the beginning working with the sales rep that did the application process with me. After we finish the transaction, the next day switched properties and I could never get a hold of him again it was a terrible experience on his part. The home had a lot of issues and I had to get an inspection twice because they weren’t all completed on the first go round so it cost me double to get it inspected. The day before my closing, the construction manager took care of the roof and the paint on the house and some other issues we walked through before I moved in. TY, the construction ...

Disappointing Experience with Lennar Homes – Seguin, TX (June 2025)

  • Jonathan D.
  • Verified HomeBuyer
  • July 29, 2025
  • Seguin, TX

We purchased a Lennar home in Seguin, TX in June 2025, and unfortunately, our experience has been extremely frustrating from start to finish. While the home design itself looked promising, the customer experience and build quality left much to be desired. From the beginning, Lennar seemed more focused on pushing the sale than supporting the buyer. After going under contract on May 14th, we were told we had to close by May 30th—barely over two weeks later—which felt rushed and inconsiderate, especially given the number of issues with the home. The reason given for the quick closing was so ...

Great style, layout, location, and overall value for the purchase price. Home buying experience was not so great. New home celebration was hours of QCing the contractor work and we found so many deficiencies which got corrected for the most part befote moving in. Mortgage process was not so great, either. We ended up leaving the buyer agent's contribution on the table due to lack of attention to detail by the loan officer.

I had so many issues i had to address them myself. Now, I had poor sod installation with large gaps and after the rain that night caused almost all of the top soil to erode. The head then almost died and lennar refuses to correct it.

My experience with Lennar was great! Everything was smooth as can be. From viewing to signing, my experience was great. Jose was great help when needed and didn’t hesitate to help out with any questions, even if they didn’t exactly have to do with him. Overall a great experience and would highly recommended Lennar to any future homebuyers.

I can honestly say my first time home buying purchase didn't go as well planned. My loan officer was horrible at communicating. If I never reached out to her she would probably have never called me etc. the lady who showed us the houses stopped talking to us after she knew we were going to be purchasing the home. The communication was poorly all around. Joshua the construction manager was amazing and Brandon the warranty manager was also very helpful. Over the home is what I wanted and 2 months in no issues have been raised.

Overall Disappointed — A Frustrating Finish to an Exciting Start

  • Lizette H.

  • July 16, 2025
  • San Antonio, TX

The beginning of my homebuying experience was exciting and smooth — choosing the house and putting the money down was easy. However, once it came time to close, things took a frustrating turn. Communication from the closing department became nearly nonexistent, making what should have been a celebratory time stressful and uncertain. After receiving my keys, I was told the home had gone through its "final clean," but unfortunately, it had not. I was never informed that the grass would only be laid out 15 feet from the house, and no explanation or heads-up was given. Even more frustrating, ...

Was always told never to buy this builder by multiple realtor friends but went ahead anyways because I liked the house itself. Getting a response or getting them to take care of pressing issues was like pulling teeth. If you’re not prepared to continuously harass them for a response on any issue you have don’t buy here. As a first time home buyer this was an extremely disappointing and stressful experience. All these people want is your money, they don’t care about anything else. Good luck getting a hold of anyone once you close as well. Just go look at the community reviews. Now I know ...

Buying- Prepare yourself to be rushed throughout the great home buying experience. Inspections- Have a trustworthy inspector and schedule ahead of time through the home building period, Modelos are the builders choice of hydration. SOD- You’re sod will be left out to dry in the Texas heat, on the stack it comes in and then installed just to be told it’s going through SHOCK, During a stage 3 watering restriction.
