It’s a hit and miss with this builder. I have worked with a lot of new builds. I had an inspector come to look at the property. For the most part, it was good. With a few items pointed out. Lennar wanted to close really fast. I told and warned them it’s pretty fast and I don’t want a property rushed that I’ll see some misses. They guaranteed that. That’s not what happened. Closed and then a month in, I still have people coming into the house to fix things. Electrical switches not properly connected, hvac trips - came in and out several time and seems people were just diagnosing it guessing. They said welcome to your new home. Here’s the key (code) - doesn’t work! I was able to reset lock because front door was left unlock. Warranty department is trying their best. So far a good. Would have liked some compensation for the time house is still being worked on as I was promised things will be done but I’m paying mortgage now while they still continue working on the house. Seems just fair? But, seems like some people at Lennar doesn’t care about initial impressions and how that can impact the experience of clients. All I heard was just excuses and trying to not own the mistake when they tried to talk to me about the issue. I would say some do care as well, not all are bad, there are good people in that company. We decided last minute to seriously look at buying something. The home we purchased was the last available and the price was a steal of a deal. We are first-time homebuyers and the deals plus experience buying was much different then expected. I didn't have to wait in a bidding war between other buyers, we told lennar we wanted to start the process and the locked the house down for us so that nobody else could snatch it up before we got approved! It took about 30 days from start to finish and then 14 more days until we could move in. 45 days after deciding to try to buy and we moved into our newly purchased home! Also, many people complain about certain builders over others, but to be 100% honest all homebuilders MUST build to a certain standard. The building process is the same the only difference between builders is the features they install. The quality of building is not up to the builder as much as it's up to the construction manager to check quality. Lennar by far has built our home with high quality that is because the construction manager was top notch and did his job correctly! To many people asking for the same information

The location is great. Our home is sub par in quality for a high price. If you’re looking for a home with absolutely no input or change options, this is your builder. The floors on the main level vibrate when you walk on them. The wall studs are 24” or more off center. The electrical work was poorly done. The covered ceiling fan outlets were placed in a horrible position. The fan in the great room was only 8” away from the TV and a foot off Center when installed. We had to have a new outlet placed 2ft back and a ft to the left. The fan outlet in owners bedroom same problem (2ft off center) There’s no quality control. How hard would it be to center the fans in the room. We had a home inspection done prior to closing, this identified a roofing issue that allowed water in the ceiling of the Owners bedroom. We asked for 2 months to get a copy of the wiring plan. Received it 2 weeks before closing. Too late to make sure things were done right. Make sure you take the time to ensure that things are placed correctly during the build process. The quick build process does not equal common sense quality. The kitchen cabinets are very basic with limited drawers. The bathroom cabinets are huge base cabinets with 4 doors. (No separation) There are only 3 drawers for dual sinks. No drawers in the desk. Least expensive layout possible The heat pump system seems to be too small for the house. It’s always running trying to get the temp up to 72 degrees. We haven’t experienced summer cooling yet. Tess was great to work with.. she was very informative and helpful..on the mortgage side, not so much..frustrating, would provide info and then they would ask for the same info you just gave them.. we couldn’t close the way we were supposed to, so we had to drive to salt lake to do so.. quality of materials - Lennar doesn’t care, gives you zero choices and the cheapest of cabinets, flooring at a pretty steep price.. you get what you get and that’s it! Literally most of all the new home buyers on our street have literally gutted their brand new homes and built them back the way they should be with much better craftsmanship and quality of materials. And after all this, they part of the neighborhood to have fencing that goes completely against HOA rules and then tell you that you can’t put up a fence particularly when you have a 5ft drop off in your back yard!! Builder grade, entry level finishes and materials. Garage is left unfinished. The unfinished basement is a plus.

They were incredibly convincing until we passed the time with our earnest money. They stated that Lennar cared, and even though they generally don’t install radon mitigation systems, they would take care of their customers. They didn’t. The level on our home was the equivalent of smoking 80 cigarettes per day And we have two children, and children are 10 to 12 times more likely to develop cancer due to radon exposure. Materials are cheap, if you wipe the wall with a napkin, white paint comes off of the wall and that’s not even with a chemical on the napkin. The caulking in the bathroom separated from the tub within the first week of moving in. You can feel tack strips throughout the carpet of the home, even though we asked multiple times for it to be fixed. It even cut my daughters toe. One of the walls was crooked, they fixed the wall, but never came back to paint it, so it’s just left the color of the putty or whatever they use which is not the color of the home even though we have requested it to be fixed. Honestly, it’s been horrible for a brand new home. Not the best experience by far, especially for how expensive these houses are. It’s more expensive to live in Utah than it is in California. ... This is our 2nd Lennar home experience and this was first class. The home is beautiful and well built. The value is exceptional. The neighborhood is amazing. But what stands out the most was the responsiveness and thoroughness of the build team. Call out to Kobe for building an amazing property and Hamilton for a delivery and follow-up that was exceptional. With a team like this in place - Lennar is a trusted buy.

I like the home, but we were bad informed by sales department, if we knew the up coming development we might wait a couple months to select the location we preferred, we asked about those future homes, and we were told no development was in the near future, but just a month in the home and the whole site is developed and now we are going to be 30 years desiring to be on a different site, I don’t know if they really didn’t have the information, but that information is critical at the time of making decisions, we even are recommending multiple friends and some of them told us that they were not building more single family homes but now we Have 8 of them being built around us. Far too much probing with ‘required’ documents for loan approval. This is a monetary transaction and nothing more, the ONLY thing that matters is that the loan can be paid legally. Check my job, check my credit, that’s all that is needed. My education and life story is not your business.

The home that I bought is gorgeous. I am a first time home buyer so I admit I do not know a lot about what to expect when buying a home. The experience of working with my lender was awful. I was signing things that he told me he would fix the mistakes later and then he tried to change my rate after we were locked in. I feel that even after buying my house people acted like I was a nuisance when I would text to get updates of scratched windows (which one of them is still scratched and I have heard nothing). Overall, the Lennar home is beautiful, but the customer service was lacking.

I loved the color of my house on the outside. It is a very spacious house with a good plot of land. Highly recommended.

Love our new home! Lennar is good but you still need to make sure you’re on top of things. We had a lot of items that needed fixing in our walk though and even after they didn’t get everything- you need to be really diligent. We had some things come up after we moved in that needed fixing and Lennar has been really great about it. Very quick about fixes. A couple things are clearly pretty cheap like the carpet and the fake tile in the bathrooms but some other items are higher quality like the cabinets and hvac system. Over all we felt we got a great deal using Lennar and would recommend them to any of our friends and family. ... More

By far, one of the worst experiences I’ve had with purchasing the home. Was informed incorrectly on multiple things. Would not recommend.

My wife and I had a great buying experience with Lennar. They were very friendly and professional which made the process stress free.

Everything was done on line so easy for an out of state buyer

Lennar misplaced $5,000 of our down payment and only fixed it when my husband went and looked at the numbers. Since moving in we’ve found many mistakes made in the home and whenever we try to text our agent or the manager about it and when our front landscaping will be done we get ghosted. Lennar also says they do the whole back fence but we were cut short with ours being a corner lot and the fence doesn’t extend to the corner it’s about ten feet short. It’s very frustrating as all of our neighbors have their whole back fence done except us. It would mean a lot if lennar finished the back fence for us. Overall we love the area and do love our home but from what we’ve heard from our new neighbors about getting things fixed and how we’ve been treated so far I don’t know if I’d recommend building with lennar to others. ... This home built quality is 5 out of 10, things left unfinished, they used the cheapest materials, walls get scuffed up and damaged very easily. Outside ground under lawn is very soft, you walk over it and you will sink about 3 4 inches. Walls are not built straight, they just want to make money on you. If you comment about their work because you seen too many unprofessional workmanship on the house, they don’t like the way you talk with them. Any body gets mad for the bad quality of house they get. We paid for it at least they can do is do good quality work, even if they using cheap materials. There are more stuff to say but don’t have time for it.
