During the home buying process, you have to be on top of them for everything or else you'll miss important details. If I were to buy again, I would use Lennar. Some of my neighbors were reached out to for upgrades and options, but a friend of mine and myself were never asked and we had to constantly ask for updates.

The process moved very quickly. Overall I am happy I built with Lennar. I am still waiting on items from my walk through to be completed (5 months) and other work items I submitted over a month ago. I am having many issues with the contractors driving onto my property and creating huge holes. I have tried to reach out to Lennar and I still don’t have a reply. Overall, the value is great and once they start building it is very quick and they do stay on schedule.

Home is amazing and beautiful. Very frustrated they put such cheap materials in wherever they could. Then when these cheap materials break in the first few weeks you have to jump through hoops to get them fixed. Everyone passes the buck and they make You jump through difficult hoops to get things fixed. They say they are so easy to file a home warranty claim, but it is time consuming. The follow up appointment with Josh was a joke!!! He acted like he was there to help you with all the problems you are having, but in reality he did not help us at all just said fill out a warranty claim. ...

Lennar has nice front team. realtor team is great though there was no clarity on when you will be getting your home built. they communicated at times, could be bit better. Construction Cordinator and team is the worse team of Lennar. they don't do any coordination on work , no follow up on their unfinished work after sell, even they promised multiple time.It feels like they don't value your time, money and experience. Five star experience just tuned to 2 star with Construction project Manager negligence.

Once you sign they don't care about you anymore

Several items were pending by the time I signed, they promised that they will take care of those items pretty quick. Since then I haven't hear from them at all and I have been living here for 2 months now. I guess I will have to submit all those as warranty problems. Very Unhappy.

The sales folks at Lennar were very kind and helpful through the initial stages. Our concerns with the quality of work began first before we moved in. We noticed a few weeks before closing that the wrong color front door had been installed. They put our door on the house across the street and that houses door on our home. They did a poor job painting over the wrong color instead of just switching the doors. Our front door also sits significantly crooked. Apparently it’s considered “within tolerance,” but it’s completely unsatisfactory for how much we’re paying for this house. One thing we ...

Final touches aren't getting finished

I've had 4 major building issues that needed to be addressed. Furnace pipes installed incorrectly caused motor to burn out, dryer outlet was originally installed as a stove outlet and got that replaced, bur first it caught on fire, dryer vent not brought out correctly from sheetrock so my dryer wasn't able to work properly and my exterior vents were spray painted over causing my basement to overheat and water condensed on my pipes. Still lots of minor finish work that I'm hoping will get taken care of. I feel like once you sign your papers, you get abandoned if you need help afterwards.

The initial purchase process was a nightmare. Steer clear of Michael. That being said, quality seems decent. There have been minor quality issues.

Mostly Good Experience

We had a mostly good experience with Lennar. The flooring that our agent told us we were getting ended up being totally different then what was installed. When we called out the difference Lennar only offered us the option to back out of our contract instead of fixing the problem or offering any sort of credit for the mess up. We were really disappointed with how the issue was handled. We made our decision to buy the house based off what was told to us about the finishings that were going in.

Worst experience buying a house

The lennar mortgage was terrible. No other way to put it. It wasn't just one person. The house is very nice, but not built well. For a house of this price I would expect better craftsmanship. Specifically the quality assessment. The house sounds like it's 50 years old when you walk around. I continue to find more poor build quality.

Lennar’s sales and mortgage departments are amazing but that’s where the experience ends. Once you are in your home you are dead to them. If you need to get anything fixed GOOD LUCK !! It’s jumping hoop to hoop. You become a lot number to them #552. They make it so difficult perhaps so you will get frustrated and fix the issue yourself. My FRONT DOOR knob has been broken for 2.5 months. They even sent me an email asking me to write this review, that’s how obvious they are.
Lennar responded:

We have now been in our new home for 4 months. The home buying process with the sales staff was a nightmare. We have had similar experience with the home warranty staff. Claims have been submitted but many have not been fulfilled. We love the home, we love the area, but we wish more care would have been put into our home and the building process.

Not happy whatsoever. There has been multiple issues with my home. They have been dragging their feet on fixing them. The quality of workmanship is horrible compared to a house I sold that was built in 96. You also think they’d work on soundproofing knowing it’s a townhome community close to a highway, but no, you can hear everything. Their banking individuals during the buying process were also horrible, they dragged their feet and made promises they eventually broke and I ended up with a more reputable institution. If I were you, I’d stay away from Lennar. Treats it like the plague and get ...
