Floorboards don’t meet edge to edge. The craftsmanship is very poor and when I brought it up during the walkthrough they made it seem like it was normal. When at the office to sign closing documents the lady was so rude and felt very rushed. She didn't even introduce herself.

Lennar has great potential however unfortunately my experience has been subpar and least satisfactory. The workmanship is not great and customer service needs a ton of work. As a millennial I can appreciate Lennar moving towards a “one stop shop” approach, as that did make things simpler in the home buying process. However, there a still lot of areas that need work for a streamlined process to succeed and Lennar does not have that. For that reason I have not and will not recommend them as a builder. I would not trust them with another new build in the future.

I was so excited about purchasing a home with Lennar but unfortunately my excitement was short lived once I signed my settlement and received the keys to my new townhouse. The worst materials used, drywall and flooring…clearly emphasized on plug n play model for profit. Flooring has no proper insulation…4 months in and still waiting for repair to damages. Once you’ve purchased and closed you are dead to Lennar and they move on to the next homebuyer. The sales staff is phenomenal, but past that it goes downhill.

There us no consistency within the Lennar teams which takes away from the process. The follow-up is poor, the workmanship is sloppy and everyone blames the last person when there are mistakes. During the walkthrough, I pointed out areas of concern that were not addressed when I moved in. The house was spot cleaned, ie. Dirty windows, paint on the floors and windows, paint on the railings and carpet, debris from the sanding left along the trim of the walls, and on the flooring.While the carp we ts were vacuumed and the house smelled fresh, it was not cleaned properly. It’s only been a few months and every day I find something else that was done wrong. The paint job looks like it was done by a blind person or someone who didn’t care. The bench in the primary bathroom is unusable and a host of other issues. I could not in good faith recommend a builder who would release a $400k+ home as if it was an auction as is house. Shame on Lennar!!!

Avoid using Lennar's lender!

We got sucked into using Lennar's lender for money towards closing. If the housing market wasn't so tight right now we would have backed out after dealing with the lender Jennifer. She was unresponsive, unprofessional & lacked knowledge required to do her job. It was a terrible first time homebuying experience. If you can avoid this, go with Lennar, if not stay clear.

My overall experience with the company was beyond subpar. Once I signed the contract documents the entire process went downhill. From having several delays relating to everything from permits, building materials, inspections, etc… to the lack of transparency while providing updates. I always had to escalate the situation to find out simple answers. Once I switched lenders the mediocre service I did receive stopped also. I am still trying to have paint issues address that were denoted prior to closing. This was 19+ months of my life I could have done without.

First Time Home Buyer with Lennar

My experience with the property manager of my new development was not a pleasant one. I was unable to reach him most of the time and when I did he was very short with me as if I was inconveniencing him with my questions. I also experienced a huge delay in my closing time which was due to covid but when I did close one of the window fixtures had still not been put on the home and is currently still missing. My Lennar loan officer on the other hand was amazing and provided me with all the information I needed and the construction team has also been very responsive.

Build rushed. Drywall not satisfactory. Paint not satisfactory. Appliances not set up correctly. A/c unit not powered up. Propane tank too close to home, can't build a sufficient deck because of it. Very responsive warrenty program though. New home sales team pushing construction team too fast. Corners are being cut, mistakes are being made due to aggresive schedule from what I can see.

I have made multiple complaint and reviews on my closing experience.. I have not heard back from anyone who has dealt with my loan process besides my loan officer asking me to rate her 10. I refer my mother, she stared her process before I closed. If I would have known my loan closing would have been handled the way did I would have sent her to another builder .. I will not refer anyone else
