This is my second new home purchase from Lennar in the last 3 years. It is only my second home. For the most part i'm satisfied with the promptness and transparency of communication. On this purchase i went with Lennar Mortgage and i did find the mortgage approval process a bit more onerous than i was expecting, and a photo survey of the completed house needed to be conducted after i moved in. This was to satisfy the lenders requirements, but coordinating this was awkward and a bit intrusive. Quality of construction was good, though there were some construction details i was expecting from this home based on my previous home purchase. One was the lack of paint covering the drywall installation in the garage. Secondly the "Everything's Included" wi fi set up was arranged differently from the previous house which confused expectations. The new Genie garage door opener is fine but the remote handheld control is unsatisfactory; not as good as the one in my first home. There was an inoperative light fixture located above the bathtub. Scheduling the repair was awkward and time consuming, though the initial survey and assessment was quick. During the troubleshooting process it was discovered that a light fixture for the shower was covered over! This was identified and fixed promptly. After the repair was done ANOTHER visit had to be conducted on behalf of the lender to photograph the finished and repaired bathroom. 2 months into the home ownership, the house has evidenced no other problems or deficiencies in construction. I was expecting a nightmare of a home buying experience from horror stories I've heard from other people buying homes, but Lennar was great and the process to purchase one of their brand new homes was very smooth! We got to do a walk through prior to closing to address any issues we saw and there were only a few minor things that were resolved before we moved in! The customer service agent was great and walked us through all of the features of the home and how to maintain everything, which was extra nice as you don't get that with a used home! Highly recommend if you are looking for a home in Kitsap County, WA that you don't skip over looking at the Lennar homes in Port Orchard! ... More

It was frustrating to not get a specific date and time for closing to arrange for moving labor. There was a succinct lack of ongoing communication between placing a deposit and clay of closing. All communication had to be initiated by me. It would have been nice to have regular updates weekly at least. The lines if communication between sales, mortgage loan officer and me were separate. Try making it a team effort to promote the 'Lennar' family. Additionally, Inspecid8cally asked if my loan would be sold and was told 'no'. That was apparently an outright lie.

The homebuying process with Lennar was professional and transparent - two things that I found absolutely necessary in purchasing a home. They answer questions in a timely manner and address concerns with respect and clarity. I would happily buy from them again.

Lennar does not care about the home buyer. Everything they do is based on what is good for them. Construction issues that should have been fixed were just covered up. Floors slope, doors don't close, holes not patched. They talk a good game but don't come through on anything. We've waited nearly 2 months to get items fixed, including a leaky shower that will cause more damage. There is no one who respond to requests. The "client service" person has disappeared.

First weekend we moved in the builder supplied en-suite washer leaked causing water damage that was exacerbated by the fact that their customer service rep doesn’t check messages after hours or on weekends. The floor got ripped up by the water remediation company and a month later has not been repaired. Lennar does not care about you after you close. Horrible company.

It is a beautiful house but it’s so cheaply made. The house was slapped together and I am spending 20+k on making things right. They don’t even seal tile, grout, or fencing. Paint job was terrible. Garage is unfinished. Have had recalled parts in our new house already. Hard to get anyone to respond and they act like concerns are an over reaction. Tell us those are minor things (yet those minor things cost a ton of money to fix and should be correct the first time when you’re paying 500k-1million+ for a house. Over all not worth the prices. It’ll make for a great rental home some day but def won’t be something I live in as a forever home. ... More

Great experience getting a home right away and approved. However, the Fridgeaire fridge started leaking at the bottom the week we moved in. We placed a couple tickets in to have it looked at & no response from Lennar about fixing the issue or replacing our brand new fridge. Lennar said it’s a known issue that the fridge’s ice machines leak.

Pretty painless process working with Lennar once we got all the paperwork that was requested They were there to help and assist the whole time House looks great and a quiet area

Sales people are incorrect with information or it’s possible as per contract that materials other than what is described will be used. After the sale, communication ceases with those directly related to sale. You will still get emails from lennar that’s it.

Experience was great. Quality workmanship and materials were awesome! But refrigerator's water and ice dispenser was not fully operational and I cant get them to replace it. The warranty contact was not helpful at all, no trouble call ticket provided and it seems like nothing has happened.

I can’t say enough good things about our sales associate James and mortgage associate Chris absolutely great. House quality is good, not great, but good. I say only good because some items such as appliances and plumbing fixtures are downright cheap and of poor quality. Service after the sale is unacceptable. I reported problems on Feb 28 and no word on scheduling repairs and it’s now Apr 6. Stainless steel kitchen sink has rust stains after one week and Lennar won’t replace, they say it’s my fault. All in all I’m happy with my purchase, but there is MUCH need for improvement in customer care after the sale. ... More

Not much to say besides having to call stuff in from settling of a new home. I just wish they had installed AC or had given an option for it.

Overall very easy and straightforward buying process. One big downside is that we were not well informed before we bought this house that there would be more houses being built at the back of our house and the green space with tall trees will all be cut, which is a huge deal for us because that was the most important reason why we bought this house in the first place. We were given a chance to back out the deal at the day before closing and we had been waiting for the house to be built for 4months. Are you kidding me? we wasted all this time to go out and find a dream house and we could easily have gotten a much lower mortgage rate. Now you tell me this???? I felt cheated out of this deal and had no way out and to close on time..... No compensation??? I wish I had been informed about this before I made the decision. ... More

Not willing to accept buyer's request on multiple request/issues. Love the house, but I felt disappointed when I told him what the problem and he made it seem that we could fix it ourselves, there are few minor problems in and outside of the house, but he said just write all problems and it'll be fix before the warranty expires.The exterior paint needs to be paint in the summer. We Love the house, but have issues with your worker. We were informed before start of construction that fencing is included on backside and both sides of house; it did not happen . The wires outside the house was cut short to reach KPUD' panel box. The cut wires is right length for Xfinity's panel. Unfortunately Xfinity is not included on the choices. There is crack about two feet long on our driveway/front walkway(concrete/cement). ... More

From the sales staff to the team overseeing the construction of the homes to the follow-up on punchlist items, my expectations have been met. We love our new home and neighborhood.

We appreciated the no haggle aspect of the pricing and feel the price was fair given the market. But the build quality is only average. Carpet, even more so the pad, are really poor. We would absolutely have paid more to upgrade in this area. The landscaping is not well executed and upkeep will prove difficult. The pressure to utilize their affiliates is really obnoxious, although they did match a great rate for us. Overall we are pleased and feel the shortcomings listed are to be expected of new construction in this price range.

In our past experiences, when we bought a house, upon receipt of the keys, that was it - you're on your own. But now, even almost three months after closing, Lennar is still responsive to questions and needs. That's not something I've seen before.

From start to finish amazing customer service. From scheduling walk throughs or answering any questions I had. I really appreciated the “One Stop Shop” experience, having everything in house kept everything easy.

Great buying experience in a market where there otherwise wasnt one. Overall happy, factor in the price of an AC install before you buy.

We're happy with our home, however for the price we paid we feel like the workmanship and the materials are not top of the line.

So happy with the home, we are buying another one!
