Air conditioner went out on day three in my new home. According to the workman, the air conditioner was not installed correctly Repairs took nearly week as a new part had to be ordered. Ten days from complaint to correction. Cannot get the floors free of marks even after cleaning them six times. Aside from those two things, I absolutely love my new home.

We appreciated the no haggle aspect of the pricing and feel the price was fair given the market. But the build quality is only average. Carpet, even more so the pad, are really poor. We would absolutely have paid more to upgrade in this area. The landscaping is not well executed and upkeep will prove difficult. The pressure to utilize their affiliates is really obnoxious, although they did match a great rate for us. Overall we are pleased and feel the shortcomings listed are to be expected of new construction in this price range.

Fridge Is Leaking Since Day 1

Great experience getting a home right away and approved. However, the Fridgeaire fridge started leaking at the bottom the week we moved in. We placed a couple tickets in to have it looked at & no response from Lennar about fixing the issue or replacing our brand new fridge. Lennar said it’s a known issue that the fridge’s ice machines leak.

Experience was great. Quality workmanship and materials were awesome! But refrigerator's water and ice dispenser was not fully operational and I cant get them to replace it. The warranty contact was not helpful at all, no trouble call ticket provided and it seems like nothing has happened.

I can’t say enough good things about our sales associate James and mortgage associate Chris absolutely great. House quality is good, not great, but good. I say only good because some items such as appliances and plumbing fixtures are downright cheap and of poor quality. Service after the sale is unacceptable. I reported problems on Feb 28 and no word on scheduling repairs and it’s now Apr 6. Stainless steel kitchen sink has rust stains after one week and Lennar won’t replace, they say it’s my fault. All in all I’m happy with my purchase, but there is MUCH need for improvement in customer care ...

Overall, the house is very nice. The floor plan is exactly what we were looking for as we down-sized. Complaints: It is designed for the Jolly Green Giant. I cannot reach the rods to control the blinds. The blinds are really nice, though. We had to have them replaced so this 5'4" homeowner could control the blinds. In the bathroom, I could not reach the shower head. My 5'11" husband could, though. There were no security bars in the shower and only one towel ring for the primary bathroom, yet it had two sinks. We are overall pleased with our purchase as we got a great neighborhood and a good house. We also knew what we were getting moving in. If you go in understanding that there's plenty of poor quality items, you'll be much happier. The paint is atrocious. I think they must skip primer and only use one coat, that's for inside and outside. And the drywall is horrible. It's so soft if you push your nail into it, it'll leave a mark. Unclear and a bit chaotic

It was frustrating to not get a specific date and time for closing to arrange for moving labor. There was a succinct lack of ongoing communication between placing a deposit and clay of closing. All communication had to be initiated by me. It would have been nice to have regular updates weekly at least. The lines if communication between sales, mortgage loan officer and me were separate. Try making it a team effort to promote the 'Lennar' family. Additionally, Inspecid8cally asked if my loan would be sold and was told 'no'. That was apparently an outright lie.

Sales people are incorrect with information or it’s possible as per contract that materials other than what is described will be used. After the sale, communication ceases with those directly related to sale. You will still get emails from lennar that’s it.

It is a beautiful house but it’s so cheaply made. The house was slapped together and I am spending 20+k on making things right. They don’t even seal tile, grout, or fencing. Paint job was terrible. Garage is unfinished. Have had recalled parts in our new house already. Hard to get anyone to respond and they act like concerns are an over reaction. Tell us those are minor things (yet those minor things cost a ton of money to fix and should be correct the first time when you’re paying 500k-1million+ for a house. Over all not worth the prices. The Lennar team was really nice during the purchase process. It was too much electronic signing, not enough explanation of the entire process. At least with in person, paper signing of closing documents, important pages were explained. I got zero explanation of what I signed, no time to read through everything. About a month after I closed, I texted a member of the sales team and the reply I got was not very nice. Not willing to accept buyer's request on multiple request/issues. Love the house, but I felt disappointed when I told him what the problem and he made it seem that we could fix it ourselves, there are few minor problems in and outside of the house, but he said just write all problems and it'll be fix before the warranty expires.The exterior paint needs to be paint in the summer. Lennar does not care about the home buyer. Everything they do is based on what is good for them. Construction issues that should have been fixed were just covered up. Floors slope, doors don't close, holes not patched. They talk a good game but don't come through on anything. We've waited nearly 2 months to get items fixed, including a leaky shower that will cause more damage. There is no one who respond to requests. The "client service" person has disappeared.

Feeling like we were scammed a little bit, and things were a little misrepresented.

Since moving in, we have discovered a lot of subpar Building practices, craftsmanship, and quality of materials. Although addressed with the local customer care team, our backyard is a swamp. Cabinetry finishes failing from a poor cover-up of damage Prior to delivering the home. The subgrade siding material is flaking off on its edges. Our floor is sinking around the entry to the garage. Just to highlight a few of our issues. Starting to feel a little bit like we were scammed a bit.

Major issues not being fixed

First weekend we moved in the builder supplied en-suite washer leaked causing water damage that was exacerbated by the fact that their customer service rep doesn’t check messages after hours or on weekends. The floor got ripped up by the water remediation company and a month later has not been repaired. Lennar does not care about you after you close. Horrible company.
