At the beginning of our build, we were told that we would have a walk-thru during the foundation, rough phase and it not only didn't happen but was offered to view a like home rather than ours. The intent is to walk OUR home, not someone else's. On the day of orientation, we were reminded that it wasn't a time to find issues with the home but rather to get acquainted with the home's features. When we were told about our final walk-thru, we were told this was to review only items that we found that were apparent issues during the orientation. The experience felt more like a used car lot than a ...

Lennar - The materials and majority of the workmanship is subpar at best.

The materials and majority of the workmanship is subpar at best. I was expecting more from Lennar as I have been in previous developments they have done and didn't see or hear about the issue I am dealing with. When you do get someone to take care of warranty work - they hack and slash it.... instead of correcting flaws the right way, very disappointing to say the least.

My floor boards are coming up and my oven wasn’t hooked up correctly and it took 2 weeks to find out from Lennar we have to call the manufacturer for it to be fixed. My hvac went out about 4 or 5 times because it wasn’t level and the coils didn’t set right. We been in this house 2 months.

They build too fast so you end up needing too much fixed. Time consuming and stressful

Had a good perception about Lennar and liked the model home better than the community adjacent to Lennar. Sales experience was fine however effort to work with Lennar financing to avail credit did not materialize as the mortgage person was working from a view that with a 7k credit how can another lender match Lennar's financing. In the end I didnt use Lennar and credit was useless. Next comes the day of new home orientation, so many issues were identified 6 days prior to the home closing that I even thought of backing out of the transaction due to low confidence if this is what I am seeing, ...

When I first toured the townhomes I was very impressed. My mom has a Lennar home in Reno and it was a very well built home. One of the first things I was told when I started asking questions was that I would be able to put AC in my townhome once I took possession of it. Well that is not the case. The Lennar board of directors said no middle units only end units can get it and now the current board is saying no to middle units as well. Many of us feel like we were lied to about this. 2nd the home was WAYYYYYY over priced and when the appraisal came in 41K under asking Lennar told me to ...

Lennar responded:

Very difficult to get questions answered. Need to figure out myself to deal with several associates to get issues resolved. Spent lots of time to find mail box key. Buying a house should be easy like before dealing with only one agent; all issues got resolved quickly and effectively. ONE STOP SHOPPING makes life much easier . My worst house purchasing. Avoid!
