Our new home took 21 months to deliver, it was partly because of COVID situation which is beyond anyone's control but the approvals with county took more time than expected due to property boundary issues. Lennar's communication was very poor during this time and we were notified only when we escalated it. But once all the approvals were received the construction went as planned and home was built in 7 months. On the build quality, the materials used by Lennar were of good quality. We had a lot of fun and excitement with our new home purchase. The overall quality of work has been good, the only issues we had during the process is that the construction crew left a pretty decent amount of small paint drops all over the carpet. There were a few little areas of the rug that were also pulling up slightly and fraying parts at some of the edges of the carpet where it tucks into the seam at the walls, nothing major. In the past couple months we’ve lived here the HVAC has broken twice… the oven flips the breaker. The hot water heater leaks. Our POC at Lennar was not helpful- in fact it seemed that she actively tried to schedule our 3rd party inspector to come at incorrect times so we had to reschedule with him, as you can imagine that was expensive. Our other POC on site was wholly unknowledgeable about our home. He had not idea where filters should go for the HVAC, and at one point told us our unit didn’t need filters. That being said. From the start, it was amazing. To be able to select what the inside of your home would look like. Picking out all the materials and colors. Creating your kitchen and bathrooms. First and foremost I have to mention Sam… he was so instrumental in the entire process. He worked so hard and included me every step of the way. This experience was not one I would recommend. After all the trials and tribulations I still had work being done on my home the day I settled and it was like pulling teeth to correct what was identified was wrong. Not from just me but also my paid professional inspector. My upstairs primary bedroom makes popping noises as we walk across the “brand new floor” as does the steps. Feels like I’m in a old home. The craftsmanship is very poor and when I brought it up during the walkthrough they made it seem like it was normal. When at the office to sign closing documents the lady was so rude and felt very rushed. She didn't even introduce herself.

Overall quality and good experience from the sales team, mortgage team, to the construction team. A few minor punch items needed to be addressed after closing which has taken a bit of time to complete, but overall good experience. Recommend Lennar, good builders.

The process moved pretty efficiently and I closed right when they said I would. Gail was great keeping me updated and answering any questions I had. Aaron the construction manager was thorough and efficient during the orientation and we were out at ease about everything. Any issues were quickly addressed and I appreciate that.

Betsy in sales is responsive and patient. She was very helpful. Unfortunately I needed to bother her often because the construction side of things was a 0.5 out of 10. I actually needed to contact lennar customer care after closing because my punch list was never completed but I was asked multiple times to sign off on these items. Very disappointing and stressful. I felt pressured to close on an incomplete home and had to strongly advocate for myself.

Let me start by saying that the sales office (Elena and Juan) did an amazing job of communicating and being accountable throughout the entire buying experience. The pain point for my family and I came with the construction team. Their lack of accountability and effective communication was extremely unprofessional. There were numerous times that I had to get the sales office involved to get prompt feedback from construction. Lennar has great potential however unfortunately my experience has been subpar and least satisfactory. The workmanship is not great and customer service needs a ton of work. As a millennial I can appreciate Lennar moving towards a “one stop shop” approach, as that did make things simpler in the home buying process. However, there a still lot of areas that need work for a streamlined process to succeed and Lennar does not have that. For that reason I have not and will not recommend them as a builder. I would not trust them with another new build in the future.

I think this was overall a really great experience with Lennar as a new home buyer. The sales agents were very responsive and informative, the construction workers are so nice and pleasant. The construction manager is amazing and really helps when you have questions. The only challenge was with the FHA Approval issues and the scheduling with Lennar Title for closing that became very unsettling for me.

The homebuying experience with Lennar was great but it's been a rocky road of ups and downs since that point. The day of our closing was a nightmare. The closing manager withheld the keys from us because the wire didn't officially hit their bank until later that evening, even though she was sent a receipt from the settlement company that the transfer was done. Also, we were sold on a "smart home" in a community that Lennar has not secured reliable Internet for.
