I was so excited about purchasing a home with Lennar but unfortunately my excitement was short lived once I signed my settlement and received the keys to my new townhouse. Immediately I noticed the poor craftsmanship of my new build it was like the builder rushed putting the house together. There were noticeable errors and issues throughout my home that I’m still working with customer care to fix (which is a nightmare within itself). I reached out to the builder to address the issues and we scheduled a time to do a walk through inspection of my home and he never showed up for the appointment nor did he reach out to let me know that he couldn’t make it or to reschedule. I can’t believe the unprofessionalism of the builder. I should’ve known that this process would be a nightmare once I was misled by the builder about the size of my lot and the backyard which is a lot smaller than what was originally told to me. Another issue I had was with the Lennar title team, somehow my home insurance was not included in my closing cost like it was suppose to be so I had to scramble to make sure that a payment was made so my policy would not be canceled. My loan officer was great but the negligence of the Lennar title team is baffling. I wish I would’ve did my due diligence before purchasing with this development. Happy to own this house

The entire process was efficient & painless

We chose Lennar because of their reputation. I never owned a Lennar home before. My last few home have been new builds with DR Horton, Ryan and now Lennar. Overall the home is nice, I believe the craftsmanship could be better, drafts around winds and doors, drywall dust everywhere, paint splashes all over the tile and flooring. When you pay $400,000 for a home you expect better, especially a brand new home. The customer service could be better also, when you are in the home buying process everyone is your friend and wants to help, but once you get the keys after closing it's hard to get responses and help. I never received my HOA docs until a week after closing and I thought by law you are suppose to receive them a week before closing to review. So things like that, I didn't like. Lennar has been in the business for many years so amateur mistakes like that should never happen. If you are going to buy a Lennar home, keep notes and stay on them to get answers and results, especially HOA related issues and documents. I think they are getting to big for their britches and the customer service has paid the price! ... More

Kara, Briana, and Ed were awesome to work with. They made the home buying process smooth and easy.

This model house is NOT a model: Workmanship is very poor. However, I might say that the construction manager, Jeff, and his right-hand man, Vidal, have responded to my requests very well.

I was highly impressed with the team and professionalism of all parties. They made the buying process less stressful for me.

The craftsmanship and home is very nice price is fair for the area too. However, they should of finish building rest of the neighborhood prior to selling the home. They didn’t put an active mailbox with USPS which took weeks to resolve and the USPS has difficulty delivering due to rest of the construction/homes Lennar building in the neighborhood

Ed, and Clyde were awesome always professional and was prompt in getting the work orders completed. Awesome. Let me add Kara she was always helpful in the sales office always kept me updated throughout the process.

Overall quality is not good. Exterior problems with brick, deck, paint. Walls and floors not level or straight. Everything was rushed and needs to be repaired multiple times. Warranty team is nice, but issues are still slow to be addressed.

Lennar rushed their product. It shows in the lack of attention to details in their finished product. Also, closing was a nightmare.

Builder and sales agent were great.

Workmanship needs to be improved.

I recently bought a home with Lennar and it was a horrible experience all around. Worst customer service but I could have been ok with that had the workmanship been up to par however when I did my walk through cabinetry molding was literally hanging from the ceiling, floors were the wrong color, tack strips were completely exposed under the carpets resulting is blood being drawn multiple times from stepping on them, no appliances or hot water, and that’s just to name a few of the many issues found just based on workmanship. When confronted with the obvious poor work we were met with “this is normal” and “you can only expect that level of workmanship from a full custom home.” If I could go back in time I would never work with this builder again mainly because they refuse to even make things right. I understand things happen but when you gaslight a customer and refuse to fix the mistakes made that speaks volumes about a company. ... More

The customer service process and the orientation process is poor. I was not fully oriented to the property and a customer service rep was never identified until several weeks later. Also, Lennar is slow to fix basic issues when brought to their attention. I still have not received certain materials that I should have been given at the Orientation/Walk-through.

I purchased this home due to hot market and inflation. I couldn’t pick out my own options. Ok, fine. Their construction managers were the worst to dealt with. I had to go to their managers to get approval for everything. Their professionalism made my home buying experience a nightmare. On top of that, too many things were wrong with the house prior to settlement. After settlement, moved in and found more issues with the house. Construction manager did not get a lot of it fixed. However, Lennar send a customer care representative down to assist me and she’s wonderful. The loan officer was also late to lock in my rate. Too many things gone wrong. I’m on the end unit with a little ramp going up in the back of the house. The air compressor unit outside is my concern now because it’s not leveled correctly and I’m worrying that I have to spend money to fix it and it’ll wear out faster than it should be. It has to work harder than being on concrete or solid ground. My advice to anyone that goes with Lennar: get your inspection done professionally at NHO!!! ... More

trustworthy,quick and responsive,made home buying easy

Had a overall wonderful experience minus lennar lender. I had to choose another better lender. But the site manager project manager everyone was great( Herb)

We are close to the age of retire now, we don't want to spend the time to take care the lawn any more, so we decided to sell our single home and looking for the townhouse that is not too far from my work in Riverdale, MD. We put a contract to one townhouse (15 years old) in Lanham, but this townhouse did not pass the inspection, and the owner did not want to fix it. So we got our deposit back. Then we saw the advertise online about Lennar Townhouse in Beltsville, the unit was process to build and the same price as the old townhouse, but we need to wait for 6 or 7 months to be build and finish. We were not in the hurry so we stopped by the Lennar Townhouse office, toured the model home and we fall in love with the model home, and signed the contract and waited for 6 or 7 months to complete. Now we are happy to live in our new townhouse, everything new, close to work, and close to Mark Train station. We sold our single home within a week after we moved out, and put a new paint and new carpet for the whole house. I got the money from sell the old house and paid off this townhouse, so we don't need to worry about the monthly payment. Plus we do not need to take care our lawn any more because HOA will take care for us. Now we just focus on our job and take vacation as much as we can without worry about who will take care our house and our lawn. That is my story! ... More

My sales consultant was Awesome! I would recommend anyone to Herbert; however the builders did a poor job with building the home, molding is cracked everywhere, my stairs still creek after they told me that they would fixed my stairs during the walk through. On top of that the paint job is horrible for some of the paint is left on metal pieces throughout the house. I paid for a quality home and expected just that. I shouldn’t have these many gaps between the mold and my walls in the home. On top of that, the Customer Service Rep is really busy but hard to get a hold of. The heat doesn’t rise to my upstairs which is very difficult and I had to purchase a personal heater for me and my sons room. Did I mention the first month in my home the oven and microwave range went out three times and they were suppose to change my circuit breaker but that never happened. Wouldn’t recommend. Great customer service and everyone was very friendly

Overall I am pleased with my new build. However I’ve noticed a lot of issues after moving in that have to do with things being rushed as far as painting and craftsmanship. I would not trade my home for anything!
