The Lennar home buying experience was very nice and professional.

Pretty good experience overall, a few construction quality issues, that if not pointed out and corrected by buyer could have been a problem post settlement. Response to concerns were handle before settlement and I’m overall very happy with the final product and purchase. Response to post settlement issues has been satisfactory and a good process. Now I just would like to see community improvements continue to be done, (ie grass, trees and overall visual improvements continue to be a priority to make this the community Lennar promised it would be no prior to purchase.

The only good thing that I can honestly say about my whole experience with Lennar is my loan officer (Joni). The price of my along with some of the other homes in this neighborhood is ridiculously high. Everyone that assisted in my documents did them wrong or the delayed the process by not processing my paperwork in a timely manner. Especially the back office. This is the third home that I have purchased and it was the worst experience to include the sell of the loan to the new lender. If it wasn’t for Joni stepping in and being very hands on with my loan, I truly believe that this process would have been so much worse for myself along with my neighbors that I have spoken with. The back office personnel and the VA personnel need some serious training and updating on current policies and procedures. ... More

I like my house and I'm happy with my purchase but it did come with some frustrations. First, just because the documentation says that something is included doesn't mean that it's included. I didn't get several smart home items that were supposed to be included but were not. I was told that the documentation was out of date. Second, the fit and finish of the house was rough. I used an entire roll of blue tape during my inspection. Third, whoever designed the HVAC system needs to be fired. A single unit for a three level house!?? My second story is never cool. Finally, Lennar mortgage commutation after closing is terrible. I was contacted by my new lending institution 2 weeks prior to Lennar sending out any notification that loan had been transferred. ... So far my homeowner’s experience has been awesome! My CCR Derrick is always responsive to whatever issue or questions that I have. I feel at ease knowing that the customer service I am receiving is on A+ standard! Thank you Derrick and Lennar!

The experience was very easy and quick. The team was a great help with everything. all the way until closing. It was one of the best experiences I ever had.

My closing day was, to say the least, pretty unenjoyable. I arrived at the Lennar office and was greeted by the notary agent. Upon completion of signing my documents, I was given my keys and shown the door to leave. I imagined as a first time homebuyer with a company that’s been around for some time, there would be a more memorable experience for clients, wether a first or tenth time homebuyer. Needles to say I am very uncertain if I would use or suggest going with Lennar in the future.

From the builder and constructions standpoint, it’s great. Happy with the construction quality . But had very difficult with sales person . Slow or no response . misleading/inaccurate information about the prices and few other details about home. One of the examples about price changes that were not communicated to adjust until I fight to get it resolved and also they agreed to release few homes only for investment /rental, but they increased a lot..they didn’t honor they word

Even though leading up to closing day was so stressful, Ms. Carolyn made it all worthwhile. From my initial contact with her to the present, Ms. Carolyn was extremely helpful and honest!!! On closing day, my bank delayed the wire transfer until after closing time but she stayed around until confirmation came from the title office. Definitely have to give a shout out to the guys that did the final walkthrough. They were authentic and personable. They answered all my questions and gave contact information if I needed assistance. Great Team!!!!

The entire process of selecting, designing, and having out new home built was surprisingly easy. This was our first home, and the homebuying process was very smooth.

The home buying process was pretty smooth. Closing only took about 15 mins which was shocking. They were supposed to leave touch up paint but they didn’t. Other than that, I am pleased

So far my upstairs HVAC system did not initially work properly due to a bad fuse and I current have a large wet spot in my ceiling in the mud room. The paint job throughout the home is poor and I see paint on the carpet throughout my home The basement does not get warm even when the thermostat is set to 76F. The Caulking around toilets and bathtubs is dirty and messy.

Floorboards don’t meet edge to edge. Carpets have staples popping out and not secure to the floors, drywall and paint left on and in between floor boards, paint on every baseboard of every entryway, shower tiles uneven, no grout sealant in showers, overuse and build-up of caulk, crown is cracked from top to bottom, line work from wall to crown to ceiling is uneven and spotty -ranging from not meeting to edge to crossing over onto the crown, paint on tile edges, center island ought to have sensibly been measured to a single top rather than molding two pieces together at what apparently was the end of a mis-measurement. Build rushed. Drywall not satisfactory. Paint not satisfactory. Appliances not set up correctly. A/c unit not powered up. Propane tank too close to home, can't build a sufficient deck because of it. Very responsive warrenty program though. New home sales team pushing construction team too fast. Corners are being cut, mistakes are being made due to aggresive schedule from what I can see.

To be fair to the builder, my ratings above are based on not having experienced having a production home built for me. I was expecting some interaction with the builder during the construction process: there was effectively none, it was discouraged. I believe to have a better understanding now why that is the case. Lennar does not build the home; one of the many subcontractors do in a very organized, time efficient manner. However, I believe the quality of materials and, particularly, workmanship suffer. The priority for Lennar is to bring the house to closure as soon as possible. The quality of workmanship only matters if the buyer notices a quality issue, which in our case only happened on the penultimate day (during the NHO less than 24 hours prior to close). Again, Lennar does not encourage interaction between builder and buyer. The subcontract Lennar has with the landscaping company is an example of questionable materials (perhaps not materials but seemingly no accountability). A sizable portion of a neighbor's back lawn was not sodded but as it was not noticed prior to close that portion of the lawn remains without sod. In summary, it is too early to determine the 'value' of the home. I worry, however, in not many years to come as the floor boards rattle, the kitchen cabinets deteriorate and inferior quality materials need a refresh / replacement, the answer to the quality question will be 'one star'. ... I just want to thank Lennar for the greatest home buying experience ever. Thank you Lennar for the professionalism shown to me in the buying process. Thank you for the opportunity to do my entire closing process from the comfort of my home. Thank you Lennar for your speedy response whenever I call. This has been the best experience ever.

Over all we are very happy with Lennar, The only thing is there are some issues in our home which were reported and it got fixed latter,

Aa great home buying experience !!!

the floors of the interior of the house unevenly and noisy when walking like squealing wood, doors without finish, the handrails of the stairs without fine finish, rather scratchy and unpolished or varnished, sliding doors that get stuck because of the poorly installed, and worst of all is that to attend a claim, The owner has to accept the time and days so that they go do the work that should be done before selling the house, and even so they go and leave the work unfinished.

I did not have a great experience with the sales office. There were many errors in the beginning. Also, I think some need more customer service training on how to answer questions. I was consistently told Lennar has all the control; the buyer doesn’t have a say. It’s very disheartening when you hear that over and over. The construction people were awesome!!!

Overall very bad experience!!! I never ever recommend to anyone to buy Lennar Home and whole team is sucks! They play lot of Gimmick to buyer. Worse Sales Team , always delay in response and then same word every time " sorry" , I forgot! Mortage Team is same and be like , I don't care. If you have q's!

My spouse purchased a home in the 70s and subsequently we purchased an additional 3 homes. This is by far the worst experience I have seen with this home builder. The homes built in 2013/4 in local area were a much better home. The materials used within the home I would consider substandard and/or meets the bare minimum housing requirements by law. After moving in found many things that could have made the home and builders more successful.

I have to admit that the entire experience buying this home was absolutely flawless. Everyone was extremely cooperative and very punctual in assisting with my problems. I would definitely recommend all my family and friends to purchase their home through Lennar.
