Where to start on how bad of a buying experience this was? I am even shocked I am being sent this considering it was so bad we even tried to reach the CEO about it through LinkedIn. To begin, when we first arrived on the LGI property we were given the typical walk around the office to have LGI read their values and explain it to us. Such a waste of my time and all part of the charade if you ask me, I just wanted to get out and start looking. After their little speech we went to look at a mix of mostly finished homes and lots. We understand your frustration and disappointment and many of the items you have outlined are very abnormal and not reflective of the experience we pride ourselves on. Our teams stay in communication when a lot or home is sold with the aim to avoid the incident that occurred while signing your contract, and we are disheartened that this situation happened at all. As you mentioned, the delays in construction were largely due to shortages and our teams provide the updates that we have received from our suppliers. We know that it is troubling to not be able to receive solid answers on when you will be able to move into your home. The flooding of the home is unfortunate and an extremely rare situation. Stay away from LGI homes. the whole purchasing/loan process is very stressful and I feel I was in a very vulnerable position due to their recommendation of lenders. I will avoid doing business with them from now on.

I do not recommend LGI. Poor quality work, rushed construction and poor communication through the entire process. I do not recommend LGI!

No Communication, Unprofessionalism, and Poor Craftsmanship

I would not recommend this builder. They were terrible to work with prior to closing, poor communication, continued to provide every excuse as to why the property was not completed within the timelines given, extended out our closing dates as the house did not inspect in time. Any issues found during the walkthrough were to be addressed within 14 days after closing. We are over a month out, and warranty issues have still not been completed. In addition, we have experienced window leaks, and poor craftsmanship throughout the home - obvious they rushed completion and did as little as needed, ...

We do our best to stick to the timelines we provide for closing, but when relying on third parties unfortunately we are forced to delay closing. We understand this is frustrating! If you haven't already submitted your warranty claims through our online portal, please do so. We are currently working through a backlog of claims after having to pause warranty work for several months due to COVID-19, but we will resolve them as quickly as possible for you.

The home is great. The problem is that there were things wrong with the home and when I ask when these things will be fixed I get " we will get it taken care of." then nothing. no call back no email saying this is where we are at and this will be resolved. NOTHING. Been going on for a month now...
