Christy our lenders was amazing!!!!

I highly recommend any buyer hire their own home inspector prior to closing- I’ve experienced issues from the start, from the HVAC but installed correctly, electrical issues, hardware coming out of the dry wall, irrigation took weeks to repair, fiber optics were not installed prior to closing so it took 3 weeks after moving in to get Wi-Fi and still after over 5 weeks , I still can’t get cable, clogs in drains for toilet and shower, windows and slider doors are not sealed properly so I have bugs coming in my new home constantly , paint is already chipping on my patio floor and exterior, screens missing, etc- I’m a realtor and buying my first home has not been a pleasant experience to say the least! I don’t have time to call warranty companies as a single mother working around the clock while moving in the first 30 days after closing-these are issues that SHOULD have been addressed at the builders inspection- not a happy new home owner of a new construction build and neither are my neighbors! ... The staff in Casa Grande was very thoughtful and answered any questions I asked.

The finishing on the home was poor. The painting looks like it was done by amateurs. It is messy and there are lots of drip and brush marks. The drywall is already showing nail holes and tape is coming off at corners. The cabinets and woodwork are marked with drywall mud and the putty and caulking are messy insufficient or not done. There are several places where the trim was nicked up or did not meer the floor/seam. The carpet edges were full of nails that stick up. The final cleaning was extremely poor. None ot the closet fixtures were cleaned off and neither were the tops of door frames, our cloths have been covered with white powder from the lack of a simple wipedown. It seems like an attitude of "well, its not my house, it looks good enough" .LGI needs to get better contractors or supervise them better. Disappointed in the finishing for the price we paid. ... Our experience with LGI has been a good one everyone has been so helpful through the entire process and we love our home!!

We were so excited to buy our first home and Dillian our LGI agent was very helpful and made our buying experience smooth and seamless. He was always available for questions. Trying to get things fixed that is under warranty is a challenge, but we are very happy with our purchase. We love our neighborhood. Feels like home!

This is my 3rd home from a new builder and these guys by FAR were the best I’ve ever worked with. During the whole process they addressed my concerns and issues in a timely manner and were there for me in every step of the way. Rich and Rick were fantastic!

The buying experience was easy and seamless. After the purchase everything has went down hill. I have lost of issue to be fixed that have not been addressed. The craftsmanship is about a 5 out of 10. Everyday I find something new. The paint on the cabinets, doors and walls is terrible. I have also filed a claim on the website weeks ago and have yet to get a response. Overall experience to this point is about a 3 out of 10. Also they claim to have put sod down around the house. They didn’t level the ground or remove any rocks before laying sod. I have spent thousands of dollars already have giant rocks removed that stuck through the sod and grass planted. ... More

Lgi homes are the best builders you could ever work with. They are trustworthy, excellent and very good value for your money! They keep their promises and no hidden charges. I will always recommend Lgi homes to anyone looking to buying a home

That once you close they are done with you. There’s no follow up on how things are going or nothing. They make a lot of promises they don’t keep.

We are happy and quite surprised that LGI came in on time completing the home. That has never been done in our experience with new home builders. Besides small glitches we are able to see at this time, we are happy with the workmanship. We did find ourselves shaking our heads a bit. No towel bars in bathrooms. That was a first in buying a new home. We feel it is a small expense and they should have been provided. Instead, we had to install them after moving in. Last negative was pretty annoying for us. LGI partners with ADT by having some equipment inside allowing them to call it a "smart home." It is nothing more than a gimmick to allow ADT to push alarm systems and contracts. 80% of the equipment is useless if you choose not to contract with ADT. LGI does not provide any adequate information on how to use the equipment, other than referring you to ADT. In turn, ADT will not allow you to use the equipment in your own home without contracting with them. They are also very pushy in their tactics. We had to completely remove all the ADT equipment from our home to be free from them. Doing so, leaves some holes in the walls to be fixed at your expense. LGI needs to end their relationship with ADT. If we were buying the home over again, we would not allow ADT equipment to be placed in our home. This partnership creates a very unnecessary bad reflection on LGI. One month in, we are happy with our home overall. Hopefully everything stays that way. ... More

Working with LGI was a great experience from the initial interaction all the way to closing. I would recommend going with LGI to friends and family.

It was a good experience working with LGI Homes, they were updating me every week with the progress of the construction till the moment of closing. I'm giving them a four star overall because of the time it took to finish the house due to the lack of materials because of covid.

Don’t stick customers with loan depot. They are the worst mortgage company.

My experience with LGI has been okay. There were many delays with completion and confusion at closing with amount due. I am not sure if this is typical as this was first home purchase. Once I moved in there were many items overlooked like garage door opener not install, trim not nailed or painted, However with the minor issues I encountered everyone from the sales office staff to groundskeeper to construction manager has been very responsive and helpful in resolving any concerns.

Took almost two years to build a home, they will tell you that it is “supply shortages due to covid”. But it’s more than that, it took them almost 9 months to produce the building permits, and many other delays, I went through three different representatives during that process, my second representative “fik menshesha? (if I spelled that correctly) was the absolute worst, made many complaints about that guy and he ended up getting promoted somewhere else. If you buy at a low price and your home estimate value increases, at a certain point they will try anything they can to get you out of the contract so they can turn around and sell the home at a bigger profit, I purchased when they were doing an incentive of covering all closing costs if I went with their preferred lender, and a couple of months later they changed their lender, and they tried many schemes to get me to switch and I told them I wanted documentation that states if I went with their new Lendor that they would still cover closing costs, and it took them like 4 months to produce that, while telling me that if I didn’t switch they would cancel the contract, I talked to someone higher who said that I could still use the old Lendor if I didn’t want to switch but they wouldn’t cover closing costs, but the contract stated otherwise, and at one point also they tried to tell me that the CEO of LGI was going to try and raise the prices of certain homes if they didn’t close by a certain time, as if the customers have a say in the closing timeline. Overall build quality so far has been pretty good besides they did not install the Ethernet hookup in the house, and their response was “we aren’t obligated to do that” so I’ve been going back and forth for the past two weeks trying to get that hooked up because spectrum nor AT&T will do that for me… they assured me that they fixed their system since me so nobody else has my same problem but I doubt it…. Look for other builders but if you go with this one I do recommend Christian Burt for a representative, he was my last one and was decent besides one small hiccup that wasn’t his fault. after owning the home for a month now I've found many issues with the sprinkler system sticking too high out of the ground, the septic covers were not screwed in, wrong sprinkler on one, and unburied water line as well, one outlet in a bathroom doesn't work. ... For years I've qanted to buy a house and that thing called life kept throwing curve balls. I had been rent at my old location for years & faith decided it was time for me to own. I was given a month to move. This was faiths way of forcing me to take buying seriously. I looked at several houses. Beautiful outside, lots if work needed inside. LGI is big in my Deltona, FL city. One of the things other builders could not provide and LGI was able to was give me was my exact mortgage monthly payment and my exact down-payment amount even before signing a contract. The service I've received from beginning to closing has been excellent and continues. Even after moving in and finding little things I had not notice during my walk thru, have been taken care of immediately. I love that everyone is accessible by phone, text or email and response time is quick. I love my new home. I even have an office, I don't have to use a bedroom or dining room as my wfh office. I HIGHLY recommend the Deltona-DeLand LGI office if you are interested in purchasing a brand new home. ... More

From the lack of communication to the in-ability to hang a door straight I truly have been impressed by the lack of effort on our homes. Everything was rushed and you can tell in the quality of craftsmanship. Would not recommend purchasing unless you like being disappointed.

We had a really great experience, originally we were looking in elk river and then we Mentioned a townhome in Zimmerman and Herman made the extra trip let us look at a few of them and we fell in love with the home we have now. Small little strip of townhomes waiting to be filled, we were the first on the block. Excited to meet our neighbors! Herman was very kind and helpful and made us feel welcome to our new place!!! Thank you a lot for your help on our first home buy adventure.
