My experience was with the Salesman, Devon, and my loan officer was, Tina. Both of them have great personalities, patience, great listeners, and problem solvers. I did not feel rushed when I did not understand something, instead they were there to explain the entire process to me no matter how many times I may ask the same question. I also did not feel alone in the process. Once my process was moved over to the loan officer, Tina, and an Underwriter, Devon was still calling and checking in to make sure I was comfortable or wanting to know how I was feeling about the process.

Poor quality construction

House was delivered without proper cleaning , and still some thing unfinished . Was told they will be done right after closing but they never did, also the quality of construction is bare minimum.

Pleasing floor plan, good value & great warranty

The sales agent was friendly and knowledgeable. We have lived in our new home for 5 weeks and are very impressed with the quality, beauty and comfort of our home. The neighborhood is beautiful and all the lots are very large. The price for our home was very good-considerably less than other homes we had looked at in other neighborhoods. We are very glad we bought this LGI home!

Poor construction quality, too many issues in the houses, poor systems to track and close defects

In Texas, LGI has been building and selling homes at a breakneck pace. The quality control is poor. The home was handed over to me when the work was not complete. There have been over 15 issues that I reported, including a couple of significant defects found by the home inspector that I hired. After a month. some of these have not been addressed yet. The staff onsite is very nice but they have been placed in a situation where too many homes have too many issues for them to track and fix.

The hard sakes to use loan depot was a huge disappointment and regret using the company ! Most unprofessional company I have ever used! The final walk through work is still not started 30 days after closing and no need on when it will get done.

Great Sales Team but Poor Workmanship.

The home buying process was smooth and convenient. Unfortunately the home was constructed shoddily with notable lack of quality control. Case in point, the fridge was broken/defective on move-in and to this day (1 month later) I’m still waiting on the manufacturer’s warranty to fix the useless appliance.

We waited for 4 1/2 hours to sign paperwork because they had wrong information; their fault not ours. Repairs needed on the inside of the house, no communication and people don’t keep their appointments and don’t have the courtesy to contact us to say they are running late or not showing up at all!! I will not recommend LGI homes. Leaving messages with LGI contact go unanswered! VERY disappointed! Like a car salesman, they sell you the car then forget you.

Purchased on March 11, 2022. It is now April 19, 2023. I am still waiting for the drainage system running through my back yard to be finished. The work should have been finished before I moved in.

The home buying process was great but when moving in we notice a lot of things that could've been done differently about this house. Like they could've made sure that the cabinets all we're put on correctly with no gaps, they also could've done a better job with the walls by putting some type of coat on them so they wouldn't get messy while moving in. The countertops should've been stained as well. They also should've put cable wiring throughout the house instead of just the master room and living room.

This was my first time purchasing a home and although I thought I was prepared I was not. I was taken in by the immediate aesthetic and enthusiasm of our sales rep of the home but the more and more I continued to look at the home and actually live in it I realize It’s pretty cheaply made and have began to notice all the flaws and poor workmanship. The subdivision doesn’t really offer a whole lot for the size that it continues to grow into. This definitely has prepared us for our next purchase in the future.

Showed No Interest in Fixing Problems

I encountered some issues with my home after closing. Multiple details were not attended to. So, I reached out over and over and over to LGI to get the issues taken care of. They weren't even major problems -- truly, they were quick fixes. But the people in charge were spectacularly unhelpful. In the end, I did the work myself and ended up having to pay more money because their lack of initiative and responsiveness was becoming a black hole of my time and focus. I was so frustrated by that whole ordeal that I'll never purchase a home from LGI ever again.
