The process is easy; there is some delay/communication issues that could be fixed, however everything transitioned very smoothly from renting to owning. Just had to make sure I stayed on it.

LGI Homes responded:
Hi Patrick, we are happy that you enjoyed the simplified buying process and appreciate your feedback on the communication delays.

The excitement of buying a new home goes away once you move in and notice all the details where workers just were careless. Some people think we just should be glad we got a home. I don't think like that. I should just be glad my roof is not leaking.

LGI Homes responded:
Each of our homes undergo several inspections to ensure quality of construction, but we know some things may be found after you move in. We are happy to offer warranties on our homes to help get these resolved for you! If you haven't already, we recommend filing a warranty claim through our convenient online portal.

LGI and Loan Depot made it possible for me to become a homeowner and get out of the apartment for just a little more money per month. The location was great and the house is super nice and roomy. The communication between sales and the customer was very poor. The construction team knocked the home out in time but the paperwork was not completed. This took an extra month to get together and pushed closing back several times. Had the paperwork been done sooner, or, they just had communicated that the house would be ready way sooner than closing then the process would have been much smoother. ...

Thank you for the review! We are thrilled to hear you are happy with your home.

There were quite a lot of issues found during the 3rd party inspection that I paid for just before the final walk through. The builder was very responsive and fixed most of the issues. Just on the day of the closing, builder found issue with condensation of the refrigerator and water puddles in the front porch due to the slope of the concrete walk way not being away from the house (foundation). Builder had to relay the concrete after closing and get the refrigerator issue fixed. A lot of co-ordination was required to get this done (especially after closing and for a remote buyer).

LGI Homes responded:
We appreciate your review! We are happy to hear that our construction team was able to work with you to resolve the items you found in your home and are glad that you enjoyed working with your New Home Consultant.

Pros and cons

PROs Angie went above and beyond what I would have expected ANY agent to do. I would recommend her to my grandmother. Raymond was extremely fast and very responsive to all issues that came up during the closing process to ensure we were able to close on time. CONs To start they zoned the lot and house we originally bought for the wrong house and could not change it, in an attempt to fix the issue they offered us a different lot for same price but closing would be pushed back 6 months. We scheduled our closing and 3 days before closing they informed us they moved the closing date because they ...

Everything thing was so exciting until I moved in. I bought a two storie house. The bottom floor is spot less its actually perfect. But let me tell you about my second floor. You guys sold me a house that wasn't even ready to be sold every single room in here has uneven floors. They came to "fix" the worst part in my master bedroom. The wood was wet and puffy. Sooner or later that will become moldy because of it being wet before. I have a 4 year old son running around the house. I wouldn't want him to get any type of sickness because of this. It's been well over a month now and nothing has ...

There are lot of issues which was reported before the closing during the final walkthrough. It is almost one and half month and all issues are still not resolved. Basic Fixture which every builders provides (Towel rail in bath, Outside bell...) are not part of LGI homes fixture which is very strange.

LGI Homes responded:
Hi Prakash, we apologize for the delay in getting those items resolved. Please be sure that they have been submitted through our online warranty portal!
