Will not respond or fix anything after closing

Things that were talked about at walk through have not been fixed. Field Manager is unresponsive or promises that someone will be out to fix it but never comes. I have contacted the national office who told me the local office needed to take care of it and I was just circled back to the same Field Manager. Terrible, no non-existent customer care.

Pulte Homes responded:
Thanks for taking the time to write this review and let us know how we can improve. We apologize that our communication has not been up to par and will certainly share these comments with our local leadership team. Poor response to issues

Don’t sign closing documents until all repairs have been completed!! We completed our walk trough one week prior to close, pointed out the work needed and we’re promised most of it was going to be done by closing. That was not the case, they completed a few cosmetic touches inside the house but nothing everything. The manager did not complete the walk trough with us until two weeks after we had close and he took a list again of the issues needed to be corrected. Up to this date, two months after the walk trough, they have only completed two issues and only because they were affecting the HOA. ...

They do not respond to issues with the home . A lot of promises not kept. Communication is poor. I would advise to look for another home builder.

Regular updates and easy process overall

Overall I had a good pleasant experience dealing with Pulte team. All the representatives from various departments were helpful and prompt. I received regular updates during construction time with photos. Loan process was also pretty smooth. I feel that in the end things were rushed to deliver the home. Tiles were not cleaned properly and some other minor things that should have been taken care.

Move in date was Friday, December 17th. Robert tried to change it to the following Tuesday due to needing a little more time to get things done. We told we couldn’t because we had things being delivered and already took time off from work. We told him we would not move in until 4pm that Friday. When we showed up the painters were still there and the house was really dirty. He told us the cleaners would be here in the next hour. We knew there would be some outstanding items. Not a problem. He told us the painters would be back Monday to finish. They never showed up. He would consistently over ...

There was work finished after closing and the house was left in a mess. Paint spilled on the floor in pantry was the biggest issue. Then I went to cook and my stove shuts the breaker off every time I preheat it. (It also happens if I plug my toaster oven into that side of the kitchen so it’s not the stove. The electrician finally came after a month of complaints and missing the first appointment. He insists it was the stove and told me to call whirlpool (who told me they’d call back, which hasn’t happened yet). And the electrician replaced the breaker just in case. It can’t be the stove if ...

Pulte Homes - The attention to detail and workmanship left a lot to be desired

The attention to detail and workmanship left a lot to be desired for the price. I also have to constantly hound our field manager to get things fixed. And almost 2 months later I still have items from the pre-closing walkthrough that weren’t completed. They flooded the house while testing the water a few days before closing. If I could do it over again I probably wouldn’t buy with Pulte.

I was a new home buyer and i was very much curious to know each and everything. I used to visit the site every other day. It was a good experience. The sales office helped a lots to understand each and everything. The design center experience was not good at all. I wanted to modify some of the upgrades and the person will not let me do.

Pulte Homes - Our experience with Pulte was awful if we would’ve known how

  • Abel S.

Our experience with Pulte was awful if we would’ve known how bad of an experience we were going to have we would’ve definitely gone with a different builder. When we received the keys the house still needed many repairs most of which were addressed in the walkthrough and were told they would be fixed prior to closing. It has been a month since we moved in and we still haven’t been able to get anyone to come work on the repairs. It was definitely not move in ready.

This is our 4th new build home and unfortunately this experience did not live up to our standards or what we have experienced in the past. You can blame Covid-19 on this as well. From having to bid on a lot and not getting straight answers that would better equip us on the bidding wars to the very end where we ended up doing our own cleaning of our stove vent. This could’ve been better in so many ways. Sadly we did not get the house we wanted, nonetheless we will be happy with our home.

We chose Pulte because of its reputation as a top-notch homebuilder and they didn't disappoint. From the design and sales team to the field construction team the process has been amazingly detailed. Everything has turned just how we pictured it if not even better. The Pulte team really cares that you are happy and satisfied with the finished product. Our construction field supervisor Tony has gone above and beyond to provide the best home buying experience especially as we got closer and closer to closing. We do love our home, but since moving in we have noticed numerous examples of poor workmanship. We have found drywall with tape over holes and painted/textured over. Chips in our 30k tile floor, debris on windows. We have been patiently waiting for replacement cabinet doors on a few that were scuffed/damaged or not stained properly. We have been patiently waiting for the refrigerator we have ordered. Paint missing on the exterior in a few places. Overall- the purchase/design/finance and construction of our home was good- delays aside which appeared normal given the current market. But to ...

The initial part of the build process with Pulte was enjoyable and low stress. Our sales and design consultants, as well as our construction field manager were friendly, professional, good communicators and efficient. However, at about the 6 month mark of the build process things started to change. The excuses (mostly blamed on COVID) piled on regarding delays and towards the end we felt like the home was being rushed to completion so that upper management could fill their end of year sales quotas and get their bonuses. Our home was closed incomplete... no screens, missing shelves, hardware ...

I bought a model. I realize my home was not under warranty or that they werent going to do anything major to fix issues. However, even something basic- for example, as you go up the stairs, there is a big chunk out of the wall. How hard would it have been to fix it? Our fireplace doesn't work. A simple visit from the super would probably take care of it but no one would respond. Very disappointing. The toilet flushes can be heard downstairs like someone is hitting a sledgehammer. The sales office reps were great. That's why they get a better rating.

Warranty department Denys everything and won’t help

Construction managers are in trustworthy and the warranty department denies everything. No help. We have a half a million in an investment and was sold a Home that was incomplete with no working heater. Granite cracks and damaged shower and cabinets in the kitchen. We need someone who cares to make this right.

Pulte Homes - The house looks great but the built quality was really disappointing.

The house looks great but the built quality was really disappointing. It’s been almost three months and every week something is discovered broken, damage or not done properly. Whenever I get work crew scheduled they don’t bring the right tools because they weren’t told of the issues correctly which leads to several rescheduling. Carpets constantly comes apart all over the house, certain light fixtures don’t work at all. I can go on and on about issues I have been having after purchasing this new build. I feel like my experience defeats the purpose of buying a new house and this is not my ...

  • Brittany H.

Unfortunately we moved it without things being complete. If we didn’t close we could have been pushed out of our home buying due to the equity in the new build that was so high due to the 13 month build time. We are left with appliances that were not selected, tile that is way uneven, no cabinet door, no screen doors, no grout in the pantry, grout in the kitchen that was stained during build by trades, carpet not secure, door hardware not complete or installed incorrectly, windows that were not cleaned and covered in materials, and the list continues. Waiting on a Michelle to call to start ...
