Low quality work

After moving in we noticed the Drywall texturing on our home was extremely bad. You can see lines, holes, defects, and areas that was not finished or sanded, etc. To date, workers have spent 5 days of re-texturing and sanding. And now, 3 days so far, of painting our home and probably another 2 ti 3 days to finish painting Then, they need to send cleaning crew to clean as well as cleaning the air ducts due to ALL the dust that have accumulated. Pulte's Quality control should have caught this issues prior to move.

Terrible with warranty issues. Sinkholes throughout entire Pulte subdivision. Admission that land was not prepped appropriately. Rather than reach out transparently to homeowners affected, everyone has had to track down people to talk to. Warranty windows set by Pulte and confirmed by homeowner result in trades not showing up as scheduled causing missed work and worse, no repairs being made unless homeowner reschedules. LVP popping up everywhere. Warranty sends one guy with no pics of which boards to replace despite the person who assessed the need for repair taking pictures and ...

After close care is horrible

Every time we submit a claim, we get told “this wasn’t reported during close, so we don’t know who damaged it”. That can be said for anything because it’s such a fine line. Seems a little ridiculous for such an expensive house and things are supposed to be under warranty. I can say the same where they purposely placed things that had flaws where it wouldn’t be obvious without inch by inch inspection.

Within 48 hours of moving in we had to have them come and tear out a shower wall because it was installed improperly. When I went back to the sales office to find out what to do, the sales agent said ‘it’s ok, it’s under warrantee’ like it’s no big deal to have to tear up a bathroom upon moving in to my new home because I don’t have to pay to fix it!!?! We were todl that they would replace several dead plants after things cooled down but when I asked about it a month later they said it was not their problem and I had to argue with the lady about it - they still aren’t replaced After our ...

Mortgage company was a nightmare to deal with. The sales office knew nothing. The construction manager got his good review from me and then ghosted me. I have tried reaching out to the service team to get some things fixed for about six weeks now and still, nothing is fixed. I feel like the materials used to build the house for cheap. And way overpriced. Overall disappointed.

When we purchased we made it very clear to Sales contact that we can't move before Feb 25 and for sure in 2024. Sales contact was very confident that house won't be complete in 2024 and it takes 8-12 months . We have written communication also Pulte pushed us to close in Dec 2024 citing binding contract . However , to close in Dec Pulte even didn't install the water meter And it took almost 20 days after closing to get Water connection and trash services started . It was highly inconvenient. pulte installed different colored appliances and not ready to address it. I n addition ...

Make sure you inspect every aspect of your home build. We found numerous things wrong ( including beer cans in our walls). We found out that the flooring company Pulte uses has a D- rating. Once you sign the walk through papers you will not have much luck getting things repaired in a timely manner.

Final product was not in good shape. Entire countertop has to be replaced due to chips and wrong cutouts around cabinets. New HVAC installed in the wrong place, TWICE. One HVAC sounds like it is blowing up when it starts and stops. Upgraded ceiling fan in family room installed 15 feet in the air with pull chains. Seriously? Pulte mortgage continued to hound us for documents when we hadn't even sold both our homes. Work order placed for 10 various items on Oct 3rd. Have reached out countless times with no response. Pulte decides when the buyer has a walk through, even if the buyer isn't available. There is no recourse or anyone to receive your requests to simply attend your own buyer walk through. Pulte will change your inspection dates to meet their schedule. Now I have a workmanship issue and no one from Pulte customer care will respond. Go ahead, try to find people from Pulte on the internet. Imagine if you have a problem. You can't find anyone to call. They'll call you every day when you are buying, but can't return a call for poor workmanship.

My family closed on our new home on 3/24. We were forced to close on an incomplete home because we were told that it would be ready, closing was scheduled, therefore we ended our former accommodation. We showed up to the walkthrough a few days prior to closing to find a house that was nowhere near finished. Huge holes in the ceiling, appliances not hooked up, paint not finished, drywall not finished, exterior not finished, carpet not properly installed, GFCI’s not placed correctly, the list goes on and on…. Where as we love our new home layout, we are very disappointed with the process and quality of materials. The standard finishes are embarrassingly cheap. When you walk through the models you are tempted to mimic what you see but doing so will cost you many 10’s of thousands more. The sales and construction crew made many promises they were not able to deliver and left a terrible taste in my mouth.

Love my home and thankful to have it but the experience with pulte has been poor. The house took way longer to build than initially expected and communication on realistic timelines were poor. Now that we are moved in, I can not get anyone from pulte to get back to me on work orders. I moved into my house on November 7th and 2 months later I have a window that still needs to be replaced, a cabinet shelf that is still missing and nobody seems to know when it will arrive, and a cabinet door that needs replaced - once again no idea when it will arrive. There's nails all over my roof and every ...

Decided to re-locate my family and build a new house which should have been nothing but exciting but wow was I wrong. Sales was perfect, good communications etc. Closing communication was horrible! Caused delays and extra unnecessary flights only to cause more delays and frustration. Workmanship: sloppy, holes in the wall were not patched, overspray on windows, paint splatters on the brand new floors, lines of paint crooked, floor boards uneven and appear dirty due to the way they were installed, cracked grout, etc. (we moved in over 2 months ago and nothing has been done) Appliances: ...

I would recommend having a home inspector accompany buyers on the pre closing and closing walk throughs. This would hopefully catch many of the incomplete items. I think the builder rushed the process in order to close on the last day of the month.

Follow up on issues not addressed at time of closing has been very poor. Responsiveness by phone and email has likewise been poor. HVAC was not connected when we closed and neither was the kitchen sink, dishwasher or disposal. Cabinets were misaligned at time of closing and still have not been corrected. Don’t sign closing documents until all repairs have been completed!! We completed our walk trough one week prior to close, pointed out the work needed and we’re promised most of it was going to be done by closing. That was not the case, they completed a few cosmetic touches inside the house but nothing everything. It started with my Pulte realtor. No help, no updates, nothing as we lived out of state. At that point I should have known how this was going to go. If you like communication, you won’t get it. Sub contractors take no pride their work. If it’s good enough that’s all that matters. Paid a lot of money to have the house interior painted. Quality of work is okay, not great. Sloppy, no pride in workmanship. 50/50 on materials. Many were very cheap for the price we paid. Quality Control was basically none. Terrible. Responsiveness to issues, basically we got "ghosted". At 2 months from move-in, still many issues were not addressed. Word of trust to take care of things, doesn't exist. Every time we visited the job site it was filthy. No one watched the contractors that were "working" at our home. Beer bottles on site, bathroom plumbing not complete in one of the bathrooms, heater not set up.
