Pulte Homes - It has been almost two months since I came into my new home and

It has been almost two months since I came into my new home and have found a lot of issues with different things: kitchen cabinets, doors, baseboards, etc. and nothing has been addressed -and I submitted a report soon after we got in-. I send emails to the customer service team and they do not acknowledge receiving it, I don't know if someone got it and it's reviewing it. I just don't hear from them if they will address my concern or not. It has been very frustrating. I am very unhappy with how things have evolved since I got into the house, very, very unhappy. I still have doors that don't ...

Buying process was rushed and prevented time to research to avoid surprises, such as the terraced streets with open view fence in the back so that people can see into your yard. We found out you cannot plant anything to effectively block the neighbors from seeing in and that was not disclosed either. Exterior choice is very limited and too many houses look the same. HOA doesn't let you change enough. Also reported some issues that need fixed to the number they gave us and nobody has followed through with even a phone call or email. Our home itself is beautiful inside but the ...

Everything went well until after closing. The issues that remain are partly back ordered but not all. Pulte has been like pushing a rope to get the remaining punch list warranty items completed. We are almost 4 months after closing.

I would recommend other buyers to refuse to close until all significant items of the home are completed. We paid $1,350 extra for "Insulation at interior wall adjacent to Owner's Suite...". 7 feet of that adjacent wall (about half) was not insulated. Pulte's representatives say "since it is not an exterior wall or involve plumbing they refuse to insulate it.".

Pulte Homes - There were numerous discrepancies with our home that were addressed

There were numerous discrepancies with our home that were addressed during the final walk through that have yet to be fixed. Other issues continued to be found even after moving in. For example, lights in the kitchen do not turn on as well as the closet lights on the second floor. Overall, if we had to do it all over again we would have not chosen Pulte at all

Communication

We always had to initiate communication to find out what was going on. Our house took 2 months longer than expected, but at no point we’re we reached out to to be made aware of this extension our original estimate just came and went. When we did our celebration and pointed out items that needed fixed Steven said he would be “living at our house the next couple of days to get things done.” I’m sure he didn’t do that as many of the items were not completed. We had to close with items not installed and had to wait several days for them to be installed. Then they weren’t installed correctly.
Pulte Homes responded:
We are so sorry to hear that there was a lack of communication during your new home build and you are now dealing with unresolved concerns. We would like to help and would greatly appreciate if you could please email customersupport@pultegroup.com with a brief summary of the concerns along with your address and contact information. Just not what I would have expected from a national builder. The house keeps us dry but that’s about all I can say about it. Very strange building techniques and materials. Very loud with outside noise. Cold and hot spots throughout. Exposed wires, etc. Just very poor effort overall. I would never recommend a Pulte home to anyone.

After moving in we noticed the Drywall texturing on our home was extremely bad. You can see lines, holes, defects, and areas that was not finished or sanded, etc. To date, workers have spent 5 days of re-texturing and sanding. And now, 3 days so far, of painting our home and probably another 2 ti 3 days to finish painting Then, they need to send cleaning crew to clean as well as cleaning the air ducts due to ALL the dust that have accumulated. Pulte's Quality control should have caught this issues prior to move.

My experience with Pulte was less than pleasureable as a 1st time homebuyer. In the beginning my sales agent offered and sold me upgrades & options that were not available for my model. My Pulte sales agent changed and my new agent was rude and basically threatened to cancel my contract, after I questioned changes. They made multiple changes to my options and did provide me any new choices and basically "I have no choice but sign change order or he could just give me earnesr money back, and sell my home to someone else for more money." The rep at the design center was snarky and ...

There was work finished after closing and the house was left in a mess. Paint spilled on the floor in pantry was the biggest issue. Then I went to cook and my stove shuts the breaker off every time I preheat it. (It also happens if I plug my toaster oven into that side of the kitchen so it’s not the stove. The electrician finally came after a month of complaints and missing the first appointment. He insists it was the stove and told me to call whirlpool (who told me they’d call back, which hasn’t happened yet). And the electrician replaced the breaker just in case. It can’t be the stove if ...

We’ve had so many issues. We were promised the home would look like a model home and it wasn’t. We are waiting response to get our issues resolved. Just felt like things were put together as quickly as possible knowing things could be fixed. On top of that we have plot issues. Our plot is smaller than what was supposed to be according to the plan.

First of all, my experience with Hector, the construction manager was GREAT! He exemplifies the outstanding customer service and responsiveness of a true professional. My experience went downhill from there. There were (and still are) a dozen items on the punch list that have not been addressed by the customer service team. Quite frankly, the attitude of these customer service facing individuals is very apathetic. They clearly don't care about customer satisfaction. I was told four contractors were scheduled to perform the corrective actions for my punch list. On the scheduled day of ...

Not sure where to begin but the whole experience was very disappointing to say the least. This was our first time buying a home and we expected much more, especially for the cost of the home. From the very beginning communication was poor. We weren't informed that our home would be built in a different direction which may seem minimal, but makes a world of difference when the sun shines into the home. We weren't told until 2 months after we signed that the 2 foot extension we wanted was not possible for the lot we chose. By then they decided to open up all the other lots to be filled (which ...

After two months of home ownership I have a 15+ bullet point list of issues still needing resolved. Still don’t have a working oven, and a row of tiles have fallen off my home due to poor workmanship during installation.
