We bought a property at Pulte knowing they were the number 3 builder in the US, but least to say that we’re dissatisfied and disappointed. We’ll probably going to try another builder next time we purchase a home and we’re going to recommend it as well to family and friends.

was told that all the lots were at least 3K square feet. that was a marketing lie at worst, an honest but negligent oversight at best. Once i found out it wasn't, I was not allowed to cancel my down payment even though it was a few days later. Also, fortunately for me, there is a 1 year warranty because there were lots of things that were not QCed well before turning over to me (however, it does take away my time, which i do not appreciate). also there are some ongoing design flaws i am dealing with- such as repeat flooding in my garbage can area.

This is our first new home purchase and we were so excited for this journey! We left our earnest deposit in December of 2022 and were told that we should be able to move in by July. My wife and I were very excited for this purchase. After giving our initial deposit to reserve our property is when the issues started to happen. The first issue was Pulte Homes asking us to get pre-approved for the loan through their lender. I walked into this deal with a pre-approval letter from my own lender (which happens to be my employer). This is our 2nd home that we purchased from a builder. The first one was from brookfield, and had ZERO issues with them. And they where way more modern with all the minor things in the home, white cabinets weren’t upgrades... they where included, the minor accents and door knobs where way more modern then the ones pulte has to offer. There are sooooo many obvious problems with pulte home, we moved in and right away noticed the craftsmanship and detail to work is wayyyyy off. Our experience with Pulte was horrendous. Our home was over 4 months late and our closing date changed 3 times. One closing date changed 9 days before closing, after I already sold my house and moved to another state. The finish quality of Pulte is low. There is paint splatter on door and walls, knicks in the shower wall, and the house was not clean before we moved in. many things wrong with house, things that should not have happened, but did due to shoddy work ethics. bathroom fixtures fell off wall, broken windows left broken, fan above cooktop, dented, not aligned, gaps where it was attached and fingerprints (many) on wall above cook top. block wall not completed needs one more level and caps, overspray of paint along trim around garage, footprint of black paint on floor, reported within 2 days of move in, one month later im still waiting to get fixed. project manager does not appear to be capable.

Promises on the home were not kept, The communication between your departments like your lending department and sales office was extremely poor. I was told that concrete was going to be placed on the Side of the home, and later denied.

Pulte failed to work with the city to obtain certificates of occupancy - 4 month delay into house. The walls are thin. The paint - may not be paint. The trim on the house is a form material - easy to break off the siding. There were no lights or hardware on the cabinet. We paid thousands extra to get a "quality" home and Pulte just didn't deliver.

We were not given regular updates on the construction process and the exact reason for the 3 month delay due to not having water and power to the community.
