Lots of issues with this new build, and very slow response to fixing the issues. Thought the Pulte brand would signify high quality and dependability. Not seeing that so far.

Nice looking house but quality was very disapppointing. We built with Centex in Bridgetown when they were independent and there was no comparison in quality. . Some of the stuff we experienced was really poor quality and should have been caught before we moved in. Doors were unsafe, window frame was damaged and cheaply fixed. Panel doors didn’t close. Etc,etc.

Thoroughly inspect home prior to closing. Have any issues addressed during the building process and before closing. Even though there is a warranty, it is much easier to have any visible issues corrected before moving in to your new home rather than afterwards. Think the quality of the finish work needs to be improved and work of contractors monitored more closely (especially tile contractors, drywall contractors, and finish (trim, paint) and held to a higher standard.

Our new home has many minor quality details that have required and continue to require attention. We have a great warranty representative that stays on top of our issues and keeps us informed. It seems as though the home was finished quickly by subcontractors without the attention to detail that I am accustomed to. In comparison, when we finished our new primary home in another state the contractor walked us through the finished product and pointed out the quality of fit and finish. Make sure you have everything complete and to you standards before you move it. Once you get your keys it take weeks/months to get what should have been complete/fixed done.

This is the second home I purchased from Pulte , the first home everything went smoothly everything was in place and it was well built . The design center was informative and helped picking and choosing design products . The new purchase was a little different , the home seems to be well built, but we have a problem the design center . When picking finishes and appliances there was a problem . When picking the appliances , we were not informed by the design sales person that the refrigerator that we had pick did not fit in the opening . The refrigerator should have been cabinet height ...

Long Distance Build

We have built several homes, but never from a distance. Initial contact and questions were handled. Decisions made by Pulte during construction were questionable and we were never consulted. Now decisions and construction quality are "our problems". We understand getting the best price, and Pulte did good with that, however the cost in attention to detail is higher than we would have liked. Still happy with the design, but we will be "fixing" our NEW home for some time to come.

We reported a dying tree 2 weeks after we closed and the Pulte Customer Service manager refused to address the issue first saying it was recovering from its cigar cut ( it was not) and then said it was our problem and the HoAs problem. He basically told me he would no longer answer any email regarding this issue. The landscaping company found out about the issue, and their manager came out the same day, looked at the tree and agreed it was bad, and had it replaced a few days later.

When contacting customer care manager or office I’m always left feeling that I’m not important to them. Too much reliance on email communication and cell phone contacts should be mandatory. The basic tone is we’re here to help with issues but you’ll just have to wait until we get back with you and not how you would like (call) but how we like (email) especially when explicitly asking for a phone call when email is ineffective due to needing to discuss issue further.

Pulte did provide what was contracted and overall we are satisfied with the finished product, even though it was over 2 months late., However some , "fit and finish" and punch list items remain unresolved after over 30days. Text, emails, person-to-person contact with the "Construction Sup" have resolved only some minor issues. But remaining issues : Missing expansion joints on Concrete garage floor, excessive gaps and leaks shower door are still remain unresolved .

We have been closed and in our home for almost 50 days and have yet to receive shower glass and missing a grate in our room housing our AHU. We were originally told it will take 25 days to receive the glass and have received no real update. We have no idea when we will receive this glass. We were under the assumption when buying a new build home, that home would be complete.

This is my third Pulte home. I would have liked to have seen more flexibility with choices and changes. For example, we wanted to make a change to the tile on top of our spa, after the home was started, and we were told no. The pool company was willing to make the change since it was started....but Pulte sales said no. Pulte needs to be more flexible and offer some higher quality upgrades.

Our sales rep., Gita Adib, was lovely and very helpful. Our field manager, Shawn Turner, was very nice and responsive to our concerns. We have to say that after closing, responsiveness is NOT good. We were given 30 days from closing to email a list with cosmetic concerns that we wanted addressed. Most, if not all, of our concerns were noted at our "Celebration" walk through and not taken care of. A representative from Pulte, Brad, was sent to take a look at our requests and he set up two appointments with us. He seemed very nice and understanding about the things we wanted taken care ...

When the builder did a walk they with me he gave me his number and told me as I discovered items that need attention to let him know. Well, he doesn’t answer his phone nor does he return messages. The Pulti warranty company doesn’t answer the phone either. I feel like I’m being ignored.

After living in our home for 6 weeks we are disappointed with Pulte builders. Their advertising/marketing is a lie. Poor quality of materials used, poor workmanship, subcontractors do not take pride in their work. Interior work looks as if Pulte hired 8th grade students. Poor choice for included appliances, the cheapest money can buy. We did not have a choice to supply our own appliances. Customer Care is non responsive. I will not recommend Pulte to anyone.

This was our second build with Pulte. There were issues from the very beginning, starting with the Project Manager who was totally clueless. Quality and workmanship from the subs was drastically different from only 3 years ago. We had to stay on top of things daily and supplied pics and letters to PM. Had to get his boss involved to get things done . Almost a year of nightmares but happy to finally be in and hopefully nothing major arises.
