Make sure that everything that is identified as needing to be addressed during the final walkthrough is in fact fixed before you close. Otherwise it can be a big hassle to get these items fixed after the fact.

We weren't real pleased with our sales person, wasn't thorough with pre-construction options, and lacked follow up. Luckily we were already in the area and could follow construction, otherwise we would have had no idea. We had two constructions managers, Jordan and Justin, who were both terrific, responsive and stayed on top of the construction, communicated well, hit all their time lines with updates, meetings and closing. After closing your handed off for punch list items, big disappointment at this point with communication and follow through.

Pulte overall is a good builder, however, when I had brought things to their attention after my house was built, I felt that I did not get very responsive scheduling of these items. I am still following up on work that needs to be completed from my punch list. I had a subcontractor that was scheduled to come to my house to complete work today after I took off just did not show up. I don't blame Pulte directly for this but I do not feel that they should work with such unprofessional contractors. Got pretty much different minor issues like missing turntable, dried stucco on the garage floor and not working water heater, etc. Customer care is responsive however service teams who were working on the submitted orders are not professional

Ever since I have moved into my new home, all I seem to do is clean up some kind of sticky goo off the non carpeted floors. My windows are filthy. The pre move in cleaning was just not up to par.

When I did the walk through I did realize there was so many issue with the house. I moved in and immediately found several poor workmanship problems that had to be fixed. The good thing thing is Pulte has a good warranty team/program.

Major plumbing issues causing flooding within the first 2 weeks and washer stopped working after 1 month. We know of 2 other homeowners with plumbing issues upon closing. Employees are friendly but company policies and procedures prevent adequate more customer service.

Need better response - Bought a Model home that was promised to be like a new build but later to learn a model doesn't have the warranties that a new home has.

All tile it looks like grade school kids done the work. All bedroom tiles were not level, when they put grout in it was just as bad the tile. Sale person put us down for extra long extension lani and never got that. Our lot is lower than the neighbors and water lays in the back yard. very pour design. For the money its comparable to a $350,000 house very little closet or storage space

Our initial buying experience was great. The sales process was organized and simple. Due to turnover of the sales team, we fell through the cracks on many fronts. Our project manager Kristopher was great up to closing, however with issues that were not fixed prior to closing they have yet to be addressed, and now I am getting crickets. Very concerning, in not receiving any insight etc.

The buying process was good, although some information requested that would have helped in our decision making process were not disclosed. Don't be fooled, it is sales. The building process was very good, Jared was excellent keeping us update to date and responding to our concerns and issues. After closing, the response of the 30 day warranty team leaves a lot to be desired. Attention to issues and timeliness was poor. If not for our persistence I don't know when issues would be addressed. This department needs to be improved.

Communication from start until after purchase is very poor. No one in the company returns phone calls, text messages or emails. From the on site sales agent who we first spoke with. pulte finance could not provide a break down of closing costs or current mortgage rates. Pulte could or would not provide advance estimated time line on a closing date in order to lock in a mortgage interest rate. We tried after closing to get ahold the builder to ask a couple questions, no response. the customer care rep standing in our kitchen saying they would not nickel and dime us over getting issues fixed, ...

The home is aesthetically pleasing - just as in pictures of the models. However, the quality of finish leaves much to be desired. There is a time-frame in which the new homeowner is allowed to "point out" issues that need attention. The Pulte representatives are accessible through appointments and do inspect and view homeowners' issues, but also note that they "can't keep an eye on every contractor during the building process". A new house may sound nice, but do your research. While my wife and I thought we were getting the best deal at the time I think we rushed into the decision. The 4 months prior to closing became nothing short of making you think you made the worst investment of your life. We went with Pulte because of the experience and quality we believed we were getting. Takes several follow up calls to get response. Unwilling to mitigate noise issue emanating from Pulte owned model next to our new build. Four year old pool motor left on 24/7 and rattles. Attitude that we should take up with future purchaser of the model home rather than current owner (Pulte)..."not their problem". So beware of buying a model or spec already built.

Pulte started out with a bang but began to fizzle out after our commitment to buy was signed. Our sales representative, Hanna, was excellent and had a firm grip on steering us through the buy/build process step by step, with weekly updates & pictures of the how things were progressing, but then was moved to another Pulte location and we were passed off to others within Pulte at our location. Things went downhill rapidly from there. We settled mid April , still waiting on lamp light( all new homes have the light, )we were told the light would be installed three weeks ago. Still waiting on refrigerator and wine fridge. For what we paid…we are shocked at how many problems we have. A punch list is expected, but you’re only as good as your subs. And they are terrible. House was filthy upon moving in…walls/pillars visibly not straight…many windows had scrape marks on the trims…paint all over our wood floors which also had quite a few dings (and this was a very expensive upgrade)…pocket doors scraping the jambs (both of which have visible damage)…many broken roof tiles, etc. The list is too long, and many of these things should have been caught by our super (who we like very much) if he had only spent a few ...
