Beware of the workmanship, we closed on our home and there were a ton of things that weren’t completed, things that were rushed leaving the job itself looking like it was done by inexperienced contractors or that they just rushed to get things done as fast as possible. First day in the home we had a leak in the wall that once they discovered where the leak was coming from it was a screw that punctured a pipe and then was covered up with tape! Buyer should be aware that fix up items that are done post closing are items that should’ve been done pre-closing but are deemed to be warranty work when in fact they aren’t broken… they were just left incomplete

Since we moved into our new home we had sewage backup into our house twice, The new stove wasn't working correctly. it took an hour to bring a can of soup to a slow boil. The Pulte rep said the range was not supposed to turn red and said it was working correctly. When we tried to start the oven it started making a loud grinding noise, sparking and smoking. the Whirlpool technician that came out said that it was wired correctly, We had electric sockets that did not work, the paint on the walls looks like it was painted by a five-year-old. Aside from the lack of responsiveness, the Pulte Mortgage process was highly questionable. 1) They did their best to dissuade me from taking a VA loan [which required a VA inspection] 2) The Pulte Mortgage interest rate was somewhat higher than an independent mortgage broker [which we took] 3) The demands for details about the origin of our cash down payment verged on accusations of Money Laundering [I wrote the framework for the Money Laundering Act of 1986]. The homesites are very dirty with garbage strewn all over the lots. Large amounts Roofing nails and other types of materials strewn across lots. Chicken bones, beer cans and other food materials left in house EVEN AFTER ASKING TO HAVE REMOVED AND KEPT CLEAN. Workers used our toilets instead of the porta johns. A very mismanaged site and overall lack of supervision. Other buyers should beware that the quality is lacking and Pulte is very good at saying no first and then sometimes accommodating your needs. The number of issues with home quality is not acceptable for a million dollar home. The electrical issues have been constant for several months. There workmanship is below average in many areas. The field reps were professional but clear in their lack of ongoing concern. Very disappointed thus far in many facets.

We are not happy with how they respond to issues. We did not know trenches were going to be dug looks like the neighborhood is ready to go to war in some areas. Also they ran our HVAC though consecution and been over a month no response to anything, I am now going to have to get an attorney involved in the issue as they won't even get back to us. All 3 units need a pull and clean and one is not even working properly in the back. So all 4 units have issues. SO far a horrible experience as I thought we were just going to be a number for them. once the home is sold the charm goes away.

This will be my last time buying or referring to buy a Pulte home. This is my third home and the most expensive one. Quality is down, mostly the finishes of the house. All the hardwood work in the house, door frames, ceileing molding, door finished is so bad that I will need to hire my own carpenter. I don’t see Pulte fixing all the issues

The quality of the work is excellent. Unfortunately due to the pandemic, targets on completions became an issue and supply delays constantly disrupted time lines. Communication regarding this issue is key and Pulte lived up to it and set very reasonable expectations.

Too Many Emails and Mail

The amount of emails and different people reaching out was really confusing. Since purchasing it seems you gave our email to a mailing list. The emails are flooding in. Hard to figure out which ones need attention and which ones don’t. Someone reached out about our warranty yesterday. Turns out they were trying to sell something. Were FLOODED with paperwork.

There were several major issues with my home which caused closing to get pushed back multiple times. My original construction manager Terran was not helpful at all and tried to get me to close on an unsatisfactory home. He was only interested in being rated a 9 or 10 and not in actually helping me fix the problems with my home. I had to go above him, to his boss Jordan, and only then did my buying experience begin to take a positive turn. Being in the construction business we came away somewhat appalled at the lack of communication and the lack of workmanship from the start of the home to the closing of the house. The house was not in move in condition when we had to close which in turn took numerous days to clean before moving in!

Home quality is very poor in relation to the price we paid. Attention to detail is missing. Many minor issues that should have been discovered and taken care of prior to our move in. On site construction manager was not a good communicator or properly inspected home for delivery. Only bright thing is we have a very attentive customer service rep who is working thru our issues,

Craftsmanship was very sloppy. Examples include window frames that are not straight, painted walls have spots where paint is missing, paint on carpet, flooring has spots that are not sealed to concrete, blobs of grout on shower floor and garage floor, missing door stops.

The lack of support from Pulte

I was given a very low grade refrigerator just so they could close and get their money. The frig door doesn’t stay closed, it’s very small, and doesn’t have an ice maker. We live in Florida and have to buy ice every two days. Ive talked to Pulte and their sales manager who doesn’t even call back or follow up. He’s been a total disappointment along with Whirlpool who blames Pulte then Pulte blames Whirlpool. The sad part is I can go out and buy the refrigerator I ordered and paid for but no one will step up and give me a refund to do that!! All I get is excuses and no solutions!!

We thought we were going to have a beautiful home built for us. We walked through the model and fell in love. Unfortunately, we ended up receiving a completely different product than what we were anticipating. We feel very mislead. We have many issues with our house. We are hoping everything can be fixed, but I'm not feeling too optimistic. I believe for the amount of money spent on this house, the craftsmanship and attention to detail should be close to perfect. I am not at all pleased with the quality or lack there of of this house.

I can’t say my experience was all that great. I had my sales person hold a lot for me because it wasn’t released for sale. I made an appointment to come purchase my home and the day I arrived he gave my lot away even though I communicated with him several times about it. The lot they sold me they said was a 60’ lot and it wasn’t it was 50’. My construction manager changed three times during the building process. The quality of the finishing work is very poor.
