We purchased our home from Pulte based on the quality of work that we saw in the model home and the sales personal. From the start all of their subs were sub par , from the block work to framing and roof and siding . We have been in our home for 1 month now the sprinklers did not work for 1 month and the grass is dying . Exterior paint around windows and caulking terrible, paint on roof , numerous broken tiles and leaks in roof , the flashing was 1” below the concrete siding which was short by 7-8”. Be mindful of workmanship before you buy

The spec home that they walk you through is no where near what you get. Had our home been shown when we decided to purchase, we would never have made the commitment. Very poor quality and workmanship. Sloppy workmanship and home was dirty (no where near move in ready) Far too many issues to name. Our new home purchase was a stressful and anything but a good experience. Our hope is that everything will be taken care of satisfactorily. We will see. Gianni has been great to work with. We appreciate him.

Homes built as cheap as possible

Pulte has some good home designs, but in the end, they fall short because they hire the cheapest labor possible using the cheapest materials possible. Fit and finish is terrible, and there doesn't seem to be any inspection of the work performed. For example, many of the doors inside the house don't close. EVERY window has crooked or wavy framing and drywall work. The floor tiles throughout the house are uneven so furniture wobbles. Any purchased upgrades use the least expensive materials possible. The homes would be much better quality if someone actually followed up on the work ...

List of things that we discussed still not taken care of. HOA people make everything sound like you are an inmate. Our salesperson left and the new person said he would do follow ups and never did. Our construction manager was not effective in follow up our his own pre inspection before our inspection with him.

After waiting over 14 months for our home, it was not up to what we expected. The cost was over a million dollars. I am happy to send photos of all the things we had to deal with when moving in and we are still dealing with. The contractors who worked on our home were subpar. It's almost embarrassing to show our family and friends. This was my second build with Pulte. I should of known.

If you are looking to be fully informed throughout your home buying experience then think twice about Pulte. We were told we could not speak to the construction manager throughout the home build. We were told everything had to go through the sales agent. This was a nightmare. We had asked for sample tiles in the beginning and never received them until a few weeks from closing. The sales agent was pushy when it came down to the down payment and even forced us to wait three days to sign our contract because they had hit their sales number for the month. Let’s see, where to begin…. First of all, it took 1 year and 2 months to build our new home. 2nd: they promised an incentive bonus to consider using Pulte Mortgage. Then, the initial interest rate offer was 7.75%. We went with another lender for 5.25%. Then, the wood for our home sat in the rain for months and then got mold. Then, we dealt with a leaking roof for a month. Then, a leaking wall while the drywall went in. They had to repaint our walls and baseboards twice. We were delayed by 3 months for closing. Home has way too many problems, poor workmanship, it was incomplete when delivered to me they have a long list to fix and complete. I will update with how well they do delivering me the home I was promised and if it is corrected, as I am still hoping for integrity and that this is an isolated situation and not their new normal.

We were rushed through the initial contract experience resulting in a very large construction mistake which was never addressed by them. Nor would they even discuss with us. "You signed all the papers" was what the sales rep said. You look at a small computer screen and make choices. Big mistake! Don't let them rush you. The local process with Pulte (sales rep and building manager) was amazing. The Pulte Mortgage side in Colorado was terrible. They will make promises then stop communicating with you when you need them the most.

The frustrations began day 1 with a sales team that didn’t respond or follow up to our conversations and inquiries. Many items changed, including appliances, changed after we had signed. The process took double the amount of time we were told it would take, while homes on our street that were sold months after, caught and passed our process. Mistake after mistake, no accountability, and no communication from our sales team. They’re not really a sales team, more of an order taker team that loses touch after you sign.

Had to point out many defects which were overlooked probably due to the lack of properly trained workers. Walls, countertops, cabinets, window frames, doors, etc. were installed improperly and needed to be repaired or replaced after my own inspection. This shows that there was a lack of quality control during the build. Since closing on the property , I am still finding defects in the build.

I would NEVER have a home built again because this experience was so bad. I could name countless examples but one is there was a light hanging out of the ceiling by it's wires, which was told to us it would be fixed before we closed and wasn't, along with COUNTLESS other issues.

Our family has purchased five Pulte homes in the past few years. Pulte has changed. Their mortgage company will tell you they will work with you on pricing but then not match a competitive bid. Construction was a disappointment from start to finish. Sub contractors did poor work and not mutch follow up by supervision. Pulte insisted on closing on a home that was not finished and very dirty.
