Pleased with home and follow up from Pulte staff

project mgr was very responsive and assisted after the purchase to help resolve issues.

Roof leaked in bedroom. Painting could be better, missed spots and left big drips.

Pulte was prompt and did exactly what they said they would do. The design is nice and the value is great. Don’t try to change anything though. Two things I was not happy with was the alarm/low voltage sub contractor. You feel like you have no options and anything you do is marked up pretty well. I also feel like painting in general was sloppy. Painting around (and on) switches and towel bars, missing spots, etc. just looked rushed. Lots of caulk and it doesn’t have a nice finished look.

I have not lived full time in the unit, but everything seems fine. One issue with a ceiling light box for a light. No power to box. Hopefully it will ge resolved

Having built several new custom homes in the past, I can say Pulte did a great job. Considering we built at the height of covid, they managed to keep our home somewhat on track. We were sent lots of pictures when we asked. I have always used a home inspector before the final walk thru and recommend using one. They always help find the things the untrained eye will miss. Hazel was great at closing time, making sure our punch out list was completed. We look forward to enjoying our new home for years!

The process was smooth, there are always issues, but the Pulte team addressed them very professionally. Closing was difficult but not necessarily Pulte's problem. However, as the professional builder, I would have appreciated their assistance in helping negotiate thought issues, but that is above and beyond.

If I were to build another home, I would certainly consider having Pulte build it for me again.

Overall we had a great experience.

The house is, for the most part, fairly well constructed. Not all the materials are top quality but none of the construction deficiencies (e.g. really crappy drywall) are, in my view, due to the foreman. Rather, some of the trades were less than, uhh, terribly skilled or concerned about quality work. The post closing follow-up has been excellent. The pre-sale mortgage process, however, was the absolute worse. Overall, I'd give the foreman, salesman, and post-sales customer service five stars; the trades three stars (on average); and the mortgage department -7 stars (unless I can give lower).

Pulte Mortgage is NOT consumer friendly. I would look elsewhere for a mortgage lender. I had problems from start to finish.

Since closing I have noticed many mistakes in the finish work of my new home. From faucets that do not line up with handles, to door threshold that is loose and getting worse. I keep finding small things that represent a lack of care in the details: Uneven cabinet doors, sloppy grout lines, no sealer on the grout of tiled floors, mistakes in mill work details, any more. One I move in, I will have these problems corrected.

Unfortunately, we bought a spec house that was almost completely built, so we had no opportunity to choose design options, nor any ability to provide owner supervision during construction. So, there were issues with workmanship and poor-quality material, That being said, the assistance in getting all issues resolved has been excellent. Carina has been very helpful and professional in getting all our problems resolved.

Just a few comments.....first, this will be the 4th survey or comment I have forwarded and I have yet the hear from anyone regarding my comments !! Perhaps that is SOP...not sure. During the walk-thru I asked if I needed to check the appliances... the answer was no they were checked. Well the first time I ran the dishwasher, which frankly was only last week, I learned the water shut off was in the "off" position. Apparently it was not checked. Someone was to come out today 6/24; however no one did or called to say why. The hood over the range needs some work, and have been asked to get the model number. There is no model number on it and in fact doesn't even state it is a whirlpool unit. They were supposed to come today, but did not since they didn't have the model ... 2 screws are missing, the hood is sagging and piece is loose. Why a model number is needed to make such a repair is beyond me !! The kitchen sink has stains which cannot be removed, one has been ordered and I am awaiting a replacement date. .... Also I just read the note below...interesting comments must "meet your guidelines" .... ... More

I thought that the decision making process was too quick and pushy. Then I dont think there was an adequate follow up to the various conditions of the house. Yes, I think the house is in pretty solid shape but I did not love the experience.
