I spent almost a million dollars on this house and simple things, like the toilet paper rolls, just keep breaking. Overall just terrible quality

Quality of workmanship is absolutely horrible! Responsiveness to getting the repairs done on the punch list is terrible. I've never experienced such a terrible new home purchase. I would not recommend Pulte Homes.

Pulte was a very desirable choice for us because we could customize a lot and the home choices had the space we need for our large family. Our experience started out absolutely wonderful, about 2 months into construction is where we started feeling skeptical about the quality of product we were buying. We went through the house a few times as we were allowed to and saw a million cosmetic issues that we just thought “ oh they will fix that before the walk through”… they never did. Please do not use pulte’s PGP for your closing. Get your own. Destiny is one of the most unprofessional people we have ever dealt with. Pulte tried to move our closing a week later because they did not submit the paperwork to the proper county. Having this mistake they told us just the day before our closing and was unwilling to fix it. We remedied the situation on our own and they still didn’t want to close. So many little issues needed to be resolved even though the house was supposed to be move-in ready. Door bell not working, paint not properly done, nails could be felt under many places in the carpet...just to name a few. A proper list would take up a page. I would advise Pulte to have quality supervisors in place who's job it is to come do a checklist in the house before the house is handed over to the buyer.

My builder had rushed closing and left my garage unfinished and multiple issues throughout the house. I have broken wood unleveled floors, cabinets installed incorrectly and paint that is chipping.

The overall purchasing experience was good. Modifications are not allowed after the given time, even if it's by a day or two. Fine, it's understandable. The overall quality for the price set is extremely disappointing. Carpet areas were not clean and the carpet placed on top of whatever was on the floor. The appliances had a similar outcome, when removed to clean floors, there was material left over underneath them. The kitchen cabinetry has wasted space in the corner areas. Communication was horrible the entire time! I finally moved in and have submitted around 12 service tickets I’m on week number 3 and non of them have been addressed. My next step might be legal representation!

My New Pulte Home

I love my house! It’s well built and I’m impressed. The little thing not done properly caused one star less for perfection. The grouting on the floor tiles was terrible. They fixed some of it but not all. Sod, the ridges where the ends didn’t meet caused a lawn that’s not level nor safe for the ankle. Water was not draining off the lawn. This was identified prior to closing but was not fixed. After closing the lawn was flooded and they had to install a French drain to rectify the problem. My agent Ryan, was exceptional. He went beyond what was expected of him during the building process.

We had a terrible experience in buying our first (and certainly last) home with Pulte. We sought a home in a tucked away and quiet area, which is what we were sold and paid a lot premium for. Shortly after closing to then find out that our "quiet location" was the future Osceola parkway extension only a few houses down and in direct view of our kitchen and living room. Not only is this unbelievably deceitful sales, but on top of this our whole house had a plumbing backup upon moving in. A painful experience, it was unorganized, and A LOT of miscommunication between EACH department making it a pain in the butt to go through. Terrible communication, they were not able to communicate with me, and terrible communication to the construction manager, customer service manager, etc. We were NOT informed when we were allowed to hire an inspector. Starting out very discouraged with our Pulte experience. We had items that needed to be corrected that project manager said would be corrected after closing, which are still pending and he never followed up to complete tasks. Porter Potty was was placed on edge of grass asked field manager about it he said it wasn’t dead and it would come back, it didn’t, customer care said because it is grass it is not covered under warranty even though this is something that should be on the field manager.
