When purchasing a new home, Pulte was at the top of the list due to competitive pricing and variety of models. I graded 3/5 stars for the quality of the home since we closed on a home that was not fully completed (missing tile installations, grout not fully completed, dishwasher not properly installed) and 3/5 for responsiveness to issues because it took a month before Pulte scheduled workers to fix these outstanding issues. 1. Mortgage terms not made transparent upfront until last moment. Rate was higher, builder incentive was applied to items that mortgage company should have paid anyway. 2. Pressurized to close with BAD work finish. A big number of issues like broken cabinets, doors, holes in walls. Still waiting for a bunch of items to be fixed, more than a month after closing! 3. Closing company failed to provide documents before closing date and will not allow you time to read documents during signing. Looking for a handy man for what was supposed to be a brand new home! We were pushed to close on time even thought the morning of closing the house wasn’t 100% complete. We were not in a rush and we’re happy to wait until the house was completed. They were still tiling the backsplash and had several other loose ends to wrap up. The majority of the obvious work was completed but it took weeks to finally get a cleaner in there to finish everything up. After we occupancy we had a major water backup issue. Overall the communication during construction was consistent as the construction manager kept me in the loop. However, build quality was lacking as the paint job was poor along with some of the interior finishes, for example, stair railing, door installation, and appliances.

I would never build with pulte again. From rushing to get things done, to even the trades doing terrible jobs just to get it done. The home buying process in supposed to be exciting and fun, and building with pulte was nothing but miserable. Put my down payment in may 2020 closed end of December 2021 on an unfinished home. (If people are coming in your house often, that is not finished, liveable or enjoyable) You Always have to check up on them, and even when you find things wrong they still don’t fix them or if you do find something wrong they will say it is fine it’s supposed to be like ...

My home buying experience with Pulte, from initial inquiry through settlement and beyond, has been amazing! Relocating from out of state was easy thanks to the community sales team and construction manager. Even after my move in, the service manager helped me with all my questions about the homes features and best practices for maintaining the homes condition over the years to come. If I ever move again, Pulte will be my builder of choice!

The house design is beautiful. However the construction workers are somewhat sloppy, careless, and needed closer construction manager supervision. After delivery, we found so many construction errors that could have been detected and corrected prior to closing. I do not want to mention error details but the list is long. The good thing is that the post closing construction manager is on top of our requests. He has been able to correct several of the mistakes. But the saga continues… All other aspects of the buying process went very well.

My opinion of Pulte is definitely lower after this experience. So much of the work was such poor quality workmanship. I’ve had clients build with nearly every builder but this was my first experience w Pulte. We were delayed a week on closing and there was really still so much more to be done. We’ve been working through things with warranty and they’re slowly handling things but a nice completed home definitely would have been preferred. Unfortunately, we didn’t have time to wait and had to move in.

The home was delivered to me very dirty, windows improperly installed. The tracks of the sliding glass doors were so filthy, it took me six hours to clean. The frame of one slider was bent and still is bent.

Check everything and make them properly clean the property. A new home should not be turned over to the buyer in bad condition.
