Expected more for a company that advertised itself as “Higher Standards-That’s the Pulte difference” or “Commitment to Customer Care”.

We were super excited to build with Pulte but it turned out to be a nightmare for the simple fact that our house was rushed .......due to what our head guy said. He stated that he wanted more time but Pulte wanted him to get our house off their so called "books". we have every thing from unfinished walls to damaged doors to damaged countertops to damaged tile to missing hardware on the cabinets to all of our black hardware being painted white...it just hasn't been a fun experience at all. The outside of the house has yet to be even fully painted. our amazing warranty specialist is working on these issues but we were told at closing that all would be taken care of right away and we now been here 30 days and only a couple things have been done. truly truly a sad situation. ... Building too much, not enough staff and lacking in quality. Hard to get responses on questions, kept putting fixes off so had a long list of things to do after closing. Still waiting on items over a month later.

Bad customer service and inspections issues without answers from builder.

We didn't build. We purchased an inventory home being used as a model home for 1 year and closed in less than 4 weeks (around Christmas). During the celebration meeting, I pointed out issues such as dirty/stained grout, repainting needs, whole/gap in cabinet, broken sliding door handle, sloppy work in the master bath and other areas, as well as overall wear and tear issues given that the home was used as a model. While the issues were minor and fixable, I felt that I shouldn't have had to point them out - Pulte should've caught them and fixed them prior to the celebration meeting because poor workmanship erodes trust, which is the biggest challenge builders have now. While most issues that we identified were resolved by closing, we are now dealing with other poor quality of workmanship issues that we've noticed now that we are in the home (leaky faucets due to misplacement; electrical issues, etc..), which somehow weren't noticed (or addressed?) during the time the home was used as a model. One particular area of concern is that we/our neighbors have faulty drainage issues that creates water saturation in our properties, which the neighbors indicated they have been trying to resolve with Pulte for 6+ months, so I'm concerned about the timeline in getting issues resolved. What I noticed and what several neighbors have mentioned, is that homeowners have to keep following up to get their issues resolved - I'm sure supply chain backlogs due to the pandemic may have impacted this, but don't know how much. I'm scheduled to have the first round of issues resolved within the next couple of weeks, 3 weeks after I first brought them up and followed up, so I would be lying if I said I wasn't concerned. Where do I begin? Pulte and specifically, its staff is stretched thin on local construction coordinators/managers. That, along with just very little oversight caused lack of quality control during our build process. I was basically their QC person each time I visited my home during the construction process. The homes in this neighborhood range from $600K+, but the quality of workmanship and materials is that of a house less than half that price. Pulte communicates one message prior to closing, but once you've closed, they don't communicate the same way. Furthermore, their Warranty folks appear to be inundated so its rare to get a response or any action on any items you've submitted. All in all, a below average experience for the price paid. This sentiment is shared by multiple people who live in the neighborhood. I don't plan on moving anytime soon, but when I do, I will 110% avoid buying a Pulte home or recommending a Pulte home to anyone else. ... More

Pulte was a very desirable choice for us because we could customize a lot and the home choices had the space we need for our large family. Our experience started out absolutely wonderful, about 2 months into construction is where we started feeling skeptical about the quality of product we were buying. We went through the house a few times as we were allowed to and saw a million cosmetic issues that we just thought “ oh they will fix that before the walk through”… they never did. We made it to the walk through and ran out of blue tape to mark the issues we found, obvious ones. After that, it took 3 weeks for them to get the certificate of occupancy from the county for reasons they would not disclose. My wife had just had a baby and we were approaching the end of our current lease, if we had not been stuck in that position, we would have pushed much harder for some of the issues to be corrected. They use terrible contractors to do some of their work and the construction managers are spread way too thin to babysit. If you are closing on a Pulte Home, try to ensure all major items are fixed prior to signing. Reported items afterward do not get addressed and you are ignored. It's just rude and disrespectful, this is a very common conversation with other homeowners in the neighborhood. They may have a 30% profit margin for their shareholders, but it comes at the expense of their customers.

We reposted a lot of things on our last inspection that was not fixed. The AC was not working, and the AC company mentioned they had a ticket for that before closing, and was never fixed, so they knew about it. It was not a great experience at all

Poor quality and service

Pulte title company was horrific at communications. Omar Wes and Maria kept me sane through this process and they were the only reason I continued to move forward with pulte. A lot of the issues I had were with the trades and the poor workman ship. I’m now in my home and see so many flaws. Whenever i reach out to Pulte warranty, they have an excuse for everything, which is unacceptable in a house that cost so much. My lights dim and flicker and their own electrician told me that my house was underpowered. My carpet is torn, baseboard missing paint, tons of drywall seems can be seen through paint, and an excessive amount of bulkiness in my carpet. ... More

Our sales rep at the beginning of the process of buying our home was fantastic. He was proactive in his communication, regularly checking in to provide updates about the progress of our home purchase and build. Our construction manager was responsive in a timely manner to our requests for updates. We understood the lack of proactive communication, because he expressed that he was extremely busy because he was the only Spanish-speaking employee in the area so had many Spanish-speaking clients he had to liaise with. Still, he was able to provide a timely response to any questions we had. As we approached closing, our contact with Pulte began to go downhill. We had several issues pop up at the last minute regarding the workmanship and quality of finishes in the home. It has been more than two months since closing and some of the pre-closing repair requests have not been addressed. The responses from the warranty department are not made in a timely manner. We have purchased other new construction homes in the past and have received much more prompt, professional service from those builders. Overall the house is beautiful but it was not delivered in the condition we contracted for. We are very disappointed with the level of service and would therefore not recommend building with Pulte. ... More

Can be a 1000 times better communication is the key to success

Wondering if they are doing quality control, kitchen cabinets have a lot of dents, tears and almost no door handle are straight! Cabinets installed in the wrong direction, holes made on the bottom of the cabinet and when reported, poorly patched it and made new holes thinking this is acceptable! Mirror in bathrooms looks used and have chips! Wood stairs have visible nails everywhere and some coming out and cutting your feet! Spindles are not properly fixed, promising date for completion, nobody shows up or call and then no follow up are made, and answer to messages or emails look optional, I don’t have all day so I’ll stop here!!!! ... Workmanship is worst I have seen. Never seen brand new homes with this many issues with my past builders

I was very disappointed in the sloppiness during the construction process with paint and drywall materials found on many finishes and resulted in the need for steam cleaning. There seemed to be a rush to complete the home which was behind scheduled and definitely a trade off between quality and speed. The CM seems over stretched and able to focus as there were too many houses to manage. Overall it was a very average experience and so far a very below average experience with after closing service for issues requested in Pulte Owner's Entry portal.

Very disappointed with the quality and materials

Since I moved I have home issues but Mr King came 1 time after that I summit my request nothing was done. Also dumpster truck company started to work at 5 am this is unacceptable because we have kids and dogs sleeping at this time. and others words super intendents only sleeping in the trucks all day. Contractors block streets and do what they want . my next review is going to google.

This builder is all about craftsmanship, but is NOT, be aware of details and installation procedures.

Once you make your decision they lose motivation to do anything. Don't take their word at face value. Check and doublecheck. Because they will tell you one thing and do something different or nothing at all.

We chose Pulte because of name recognition for quality homes. Unfortunately we are not impressed by what we received and there are still issues with our home. I would definitely have to think twice if I were ever to buy from Pulte again.
