Not Happy with the outcome

Everything was great except for the fact that we have not yet received our appliances we purchased through Pulte. Also, no one has communicated when we might be getting them. We have reached out multiple times but have been ignored. This is not how this should be handled. I expected more from a large company like Pulte.

Finish was cheap for the price paid for this new house. Could have done a little better to ensure we buy from you again. At this point I’m not sure if that will happen again. Additionally, there were some issues that I did not see or were pending from the walkthrough, but had to go through warranty to resolve.

The builder showed me everything I need to know about the house in terms of the A/C filter and other major mechanics that I should keep an eye one. 10/10

If you need help with ANYTHING, they are going to be there for you.

Overall good experience. There are good points and not so good points with new builds as there are with established homes. Pulte is very responsive to the customer issues. Field Manager Joe took care of us and Adam is super with our warranty calls.

The house had a lot of issues before closing, some of then were supposed to get fixed and they never completed them, we had to submit a second request.

Our entire process was a nightmare; from start to finish, we had issue after issue: ranging from sales team Inconsistencies to having to change field managers due to poor communication and errors resulting in multiple delays, to new field manager lying about things being completed and when we stopped by to check those items were not completed; preclosing we had our “celebratory walkthrough and the house was a disaster- every piece of wood mangled and chipped, doors peeling and moldy, drywall gauges, paint incomplete, unfinished patch work in ceilings, malfunctioning lights, chipped and peeling handrails with sharp edges. We were told to return in 5 days in closing day to review concerns. On closing day, the paint had been fixed and 2 doors replaced but not painted. The rest remained incomplete and as such we did not sign off on those items. We were informed the crew was enroute as we spoke to fix the remaining concerns. Agree closing, we returned to find none of the issues had been fixed (except the light finally), to which we were told they would be our first thing the next day. Within the next 24 hours we found issue after issue. Things like unfinished stairs the crew carpeted over and tried to hide it when pointed out, carpet tacks incorrectly installed with tacks sticking up in every threshold resulting in multiple injuries to our 5y/o son, ceiling fan outlet they “forgot” to brace the weight of a ceiling fan despite the “standard” of every light being ready and as such nearly falling through the ceiling into my spouses head. No apologies issues until I contacted corporate. It’s been almost a full month since we’ve been in this house and it’s been nonstop issues. We have had 4 people out to fix the stairs (the ones they tried to cover with carpet to hide) and each time a vendor comes unprepared, forcing us to be available from their hours of either 8-12 or 12-4 ( and you must be available or they’ll leave and be rescheduled for 2 more weeks down the road) and sometimes they come early and sometimes they come late and sometimes they stay well beyond their time frame. Again resulting in a full day spent waiting for them to fix an issue that they never fix. Our stairs are still not finished. 4 visits, 30 days, dozens of hours later. Can be a 1000 times better communication is the key to success

Amazing builder, with experience. The Salesman was very professional in the whole process. The loan process with Pulte Mortgage was a NIGHTMARE for 7 months, even though I'm existing owner with Pulte in other place. I was lucky that the Salesman mentioned me about a second loan company that approved me in 2 weeks. After closing I had some warranty issues that were fixed (long process too), but were fixed. In Overall a deffenitly will recoment Pulte as a great Builder.

While Pulte shrives to build beautiful homes, the contractors and their laborers are not performing and producing products (homes) to pulte’s standards.

Compare what's available in your area, seek out trustworthy realtors (and knowledgeable colleagues/friends) to advise you. Comparison shop, but don't be afraid to take action. Homes have real value. Money is losing value every day.

Communication has not done properly

The home buying experience was great - but now that I’m in my new home- huge disappointment- light fixtures have detached from ceiling and I haven’t gotten a response from Warranty people in a week— worse yet roaches were in my residence after carpet was placed- I thought issue would be resolved—- I have an infestation- probably due to a dumpster overflowing with trash next door that has been a hazard for over a month— HELP!

Quality house with beautiful upgrades

It is unfortunate that the moment of making the purchase has become one of the worst experiences I have had, however I have to say that the credit process, the documentation and finally the signature were excellent. Everything changes when after having made 2 walk throughs and determining the details to be repaired after 2 months they have not been repaired and they even do not respond to emails requesting the repair. The frustration has been so great that I have repeatedly requested paint and certain material to carry out the work myself, which has not been attended to either. Pulte builder sells itself as one step above the other builders. I've worked with 3 builders in the last 8 years and Pulte is barely as good as the other builders. I've found that their people only care about one thing: Reviews. I didn't appreciate how many times they mentioned it. Due to covid circumstances, our house closing was delayed by a total of 5 months, which I don't hold them accountable to. It's what it is. The house itself is well built, nothing special compared to meritage homes for example. Some of the materials used and insulation, wasn't as good as meritage's for example. After closing, when we had issues with the house, the warranty service (now that all surveys have been filled) have been terrible. The worst experience with any builder I dealt with in the past. ... Great experience, from beginning to end. Quality and value is excellent.

In general, the entire experience with Pulte from sales, to design, to construction and closing was mediocre at best. The left hand doesn't talk to the right, and overall communication and organization was poor. What should've been the most proud and exciting time of my life was 8 months of hell and escalation after escalation. Post-close has been no better, with continued issues 2 months after closing with things like pavers, paint, grading/slope of my yard (excess water pooling) and general poor craftsmanship inside the home resulting in non-stop back/forth with our warranty specialist. House has a lot of imperfection , pulte only focus on volume no on quality for customers!

for the most part the process moved along well. The Sales Agent was very knowledgeable. The Design Studio representative was very helpful in making the process very pleasurable and exciting. The construction manager worked on our behalf to see that the quality of the construction was maintained. Then came the closing process and the agent we had was definitely the best. His explanations of every form made the process very smooth.
