It’s okay not a good experience for a first home buyer

The communication through the entire process was fantastic. From when we first visited the site and toured the models right to the closing on our villa. We were living in Connecticut through the whole process and had to rely mainly on e mails and docu signs to handle deposits, loan process, and building progress. Everyone we worked with were helpful, patient, and answered any question we had for them. It made the long distance a non issue. Excellent people!!

I want it to be known that my review is being written in a world devastated by the current climate of our nation and world as it relates to COVID related issues that either slowed down and/or played a role in some of the poor craftsmanship of the house and closing process. So with all that being said, our construction manager was extremely responsive and fixed issues rather swiftly. Overall the experience was swift, transparent, as well as very detailed in regards to what we were getting. Pulte homes is a tremendous company, and my wife and I are proud owners of a Pulte home.

Thankfully we were able to sign and build our home before the prices went up on lumber and materials. They were very efficient getting what we needed and communication was top notch!

From start to finish of the entire process was made seamless through the professionalism and attention to detail from the entire Pulte group.

It was a very good experience for our family.

Beautiful and high quality homes

Every step of the process was easy and streamlined. Customization options were pretty good, and any time I had an issue with something, it was already being addressed.

I had really good experience after the purchase too. Did get a lot of help with many minor things from Michael and the build team.

I would want them to stop by my house and see the “finished” house and not the model before they decide to work with Pulte. I would also want them to know the quality is really bad and the experience is just mind blowing.

Pulte is a cookie cutter homebuilder. Please do not expect to make any changes, even with a change order. Three days after I put my contract in, I wanted to put in a change order for a screened in lanai. I was told I couldn't, because the order had already been submitted to the county. I am still without screening for my lanai (the housing industry is booming in Florida, it is difficult to schedule the work or get a response). My experience was and still is very stressful (ongoing issues). I am still trying to get items up to par. They push closing because they are schedule driven. With this, quality is diminished or lost. My home closed with three major items that should have been fixed/repaired before closing: an air conditioner that didn't cool, a very crooked oven hood, and damaged kitchen granite (two of these items I didn't know about until after closing). Additionally, I'm trying to have some electrical outlets installed in my home. I must go through the company that did the work or the warranty will be voided should something happen; however, the electrical company has not/will not return calls (I've called three times) after promises of a return call from an estimator. I have issues that I submitted weeks ago and no responce yet, now i'm going to resubmitt them, if you want me number 9735581800

Our home was 6 weeks delayed which was very hard since we were moving out of state and had sold our old home 4 weeks prior to closing. We've been in the house for over a month and punch list items are still not completed. The day we closed we came to a home that was full of workers, no supervisor and no deadline. The walls were still being painted 3 days after closing. We were unable to fully move in and settle which with 2 children and pets and working from home situation while coming from out of state was a nightmare. Very dissapointed.

My project manager did a great job communicating with me during the build process. However a week before closing we were assure things would be fixed by closing and they were not. Then we were assured they would take care of it while we were in the house. When we followed up we were told we had to put in warranty tickets. Now we've been in the home two months, our doors are not aligned, tile is crooked and chipped, and my floors are not level.

Overall I had a good experience, even with pandemic-related delay issues with regard to supplies.

They were in such a rush to complete the interior of the home that quite a few mistakes were made such as uneven floors, uncorked windows and scantily painted window panels, cuffed and splitting door frames, doorknob placed backwards and mal-adjusted kitchen cabinet doors. The list goes on. They tend schedule final walk through 2 days before closing and many issues go unresolved thereafter.

It’s been only a month since we moved. We see several issues. It takes forever to fix issues. Customer care does respond however I feel there is no communication between the team and contractors. The time window for each pending item is taking too long. Our venthood was not installed properly and we have a huge gap between kitchen venthood and a wall. They say parts are ordered but it’s been a month and still not fixed. My under cabinet kitchen light and few recess lights in the loft area stopped working two days after we moved. Till now this has not been fixed. Contractors show up randomly without giving us notice. We are all working and don’t have remote option. Because they didn’t let us know ahead of time they left a note to reschedule. Now we have to wait another 15 days for them to come and fix our electrical issues. I am not satisfied with the way things are moving and I don’t feel I am living in newly constructed home. I have lived in older homes built in 2004 and 2014 but have never had any issues like this. Surprised to see so many issues since closing. When we closed the home as not even cleaned. It was all dusty and we had to call the cleaners to clean the entire home. Overall not a happy client. ... This is a well built home

Pulte, isn’t just a company that build homes. Their a family. For the months leading up to our closing, they have been by our side. A couple months now after closing and being moved in, their still at our side. From the sales associates to the building managers, they’ve all become more than what the once were. To our family their now an extension of our family. Everyone on the property are always caring and helpful in everything. I can’t really complain about anything.
