The Pulte agent Rachael is always been helpful and very prompt on responding. The price is what you expected for the housing market around the area. Quality and workmanship is not what I expected for the value I paid for the house. There are still items on quality issues that still unaddress after moving here more than a month.

This process started out well, weekly calls with the builder as the house was being prepared. They were very open and up front about issues they were facing, and the sales and financing process went very smoothly. (We used Pulte Mortgage) The issues started around close and in hind-site, we should have spent a few extra weeks in the hotel and let them actually complete the home. At the time of close, there were several outstanding items, from a loaner dishwasher to swaths of the house unpainted. The hood in the kitchen did not have a shroud(ie. its just exposted insulation and pipe), the ...

The quality and workmanship was not what I expected from a Pulte Home. A month after closing and we are still addressing issues found during the final walkthrough. Actually, one of the issues was with the gas connection to the stove which caused it to burn. Very dangerous!

I purchased new home from Pulte in Georgia. I heard from my real estate agent that they were good builder. On the closing day, house was incomplete. Some of lights and plugs were not working. Doors were not closing. Some door handles were placed wrong way. Exposed insulation around door and window frame. Strips in new window fell off. Floor, carpets were not cleaned. Stains on floor, door handles. They had to reinstall tiles in all bathroom for some reason. That caused damage to door edges. Stairway was never polished. These are few things to mention. This gives an experience of buying a ...

We received weekly updates until the month we proceeded to close. The closing date shifted twice due to incomplete projects. We acknowledged a ticket escalating missing appliance items in July (on the day we closed)…its now September—2 months with later no progress. Our neighbors warned us that once we close and complete the survey, customer service would deteriorate which it did—significantly. My wife and I are both military veterans (Air Force) and this is by far the worst experience considering we have purchased custom homes in 2 other states.

The experience was "ok" overall. I wouldn't say it was terrible but I definitely wouldn't say it was great. The builder rep on the ground for the Pulte was fantastic but the remaining team members leave much to be desired. Trust and responsiveness were sadly lacking. As a customer I do NOT want to be ignored and the team would often not return emails and my guess was they would just wait me out. Well, we held them accountable to provide answers and solutions to issues. Pulte makes a great sales pitch but they fall short on execution. I'm happy with my home but it will not be my forever home ...

Everyone was great prior to closing. During my pre-closing walk through I identified several things that needed to be addressed, and the project manager promised that they would be done the day of or after closing. They were not, and many still have not been addressed 2 1/2 months later. In addition, I uncovered multiple additional issues with sloppy workmanship after closing and submitted requests for them to be addressed, they were no acknowledged. I escalated when I had AT&T come to install my internet and found that there was no conduit so internet couldn't be established. At that ...

Our Sales Agent and the Warranty Person we deal with have truly been the saving grace for this transaction. I am disappointed with the quality of work the construction manager approved and then passed off. We have walls that are completely bowed, corners that are at 75° vs 90. Door ways that don’t line up, we had a major leak from the electrical people drilling a hole in the pipes, and after our inspection pointed it out, they said it was resolved, only to find it was never looked into. Our shower had no seals so it leaked until the warranty people sent someone to repair it. The ...

I wasn’t allowed to make my own selections for floors, tiles, cabinets etc. Kind of took the fun out of buying new. The windows are poor quality and some don’t latch/lock. They did not paint the interior of my garage and it looks really ugly when the garage is open. They need to start installing frameless showers and crown molding for homes over 700k price point.

The home buying process started off well and the house itself is nice, and there have been some quality people at Pulte whom we have encountered, but the problem we had near closing marred out overall experience. We were originally told the closing date would be around 5-6 months after we signed our contract, and we tried to communicate that closer to the six-month date is what we wanted. However, the house was built faster than planned. Normally this would be a good thing, but it wasn't for us because we couldn't move in that early because we were already on a rental lease at our old ...

Have everything in writing that is promised before signing any agreement. Once you sign everybody acts like they have amnesia. The overall home is good for there price point I feel like they can put more into workmanship we had a lot of sheet rock imperfections half million dollar home you would think you would get a level 5 finish not the case. They sprayed cheap flat paint throughout the whole house ceiling and walls and they don’t paint the garage. I wouldn't do this again. Pulte seems to have very little control over their sub contractors. We've encountered countless issues throughout the process (during and after the build was complete). Pulte always responds quickly, but there's no way to fix widespread shoddy workmanship (framing, drywall, painting, plumbing, electrical, flooring, windows, you name it). I just hope we don't encounter long-term effects down the line.

We were expecting a more seamless and by far a less frustrated home buying process. From a delayed start of construction date to a delayed closing due to a lower appraisal, we have to rank this process lower than our previous purchase years ago with another seller.

We've had many issues throughout our buying and build journey, happy to discuss more in detail in the phone. Our sales associate and design center consultants did chose some options for us (like our elevation) without telling us and did not explain options available to us, other times they gave just wrong information. They were not forthcoming about pricing. Key steps in the build process were missed, like walking us through an electrical plan. We learned a great deal about what to police for our next build and for now are spending a great deal of time and money correcting things that we ...

For a new townhome, the building quality is fine - not the best, but not the worst it could be. The main issues were the construction timeline and customer service - Pulte is all sales, no substance. They put on a great face, but when it comes to getting details about the construction timeline, where materials stand, where the inspections stand, they are just about the worst at communicating this information. Worse, they make you feel stupid for even asking. Our townhome took 16 months because of the collective incompetence of the sales and construction teams. Our closing date was pushed ...

On site agent and builder were excellent; however Pulte, the Company, focused only on their profits, ignoring the impact their actions had on buyers. Pulte demanded some closings take place much earlier than anticipated which cause considerable inconvenience, stress and costs for these buyers. This rush by Pulte to close homes before the end of 2021resulted in incomplete and shoddy workmanship. Design center also made mistakes w/ buyers' selections. Customer service department and local builder make sincere efforts to resolve these issues which should not have occurred in the first place.

Pulte Homes responded:

Sales agent have very less idea on how to deal with customers especially when they first time buyers. builders are new with not a lot of experience but still somewhat did a good job. designs - house designs are awful, so much space is wasted on unnecessary things. The home designs needs to be explained well to customers and be given an idea on how it looks on the lot... like ranch houses will consume a lot of yard size vs other family homes. Cant just count the number of things. Sometimes the upgrades are really downgrading in Pulte. Interior design - Standard design options are joke, cannot ...

Several years back when I moved to Atlanta I had great experience with Pulte. They built my new townhouse and I was included each step of the way, had a great finished product and great follow up. For this purchase/build, I purposely sought them out as this was to be my 'retirement' home (as in I didn't want to move again until I truly retire in a few years). But with all that has happened since I financed with Pulte, took ownership of the house and lived here for a few weeks I do not plan to A) stay here for the long haul or B) invest in another Pulte home. As always I am glad to work ...

Competitive pricing and features from a market review, nice location. Negatives are the initial sales process and that many of the items promised prior to closing were not fixed...subsequent follow up has been poor after the sale was completed. Recommend allowing enough time to hold accountability on getting items fixed PRIOR to closing.

Excellent experience up until 8 weeks before closure. However, the closure and now 6 weeks post closure has been an exhausting experience, with the need for me to become a project manager of all the open issues in my home. I’ve had contractors in DAILY for repairs- electrical, plumbing, CAT wiring, drywall, painting, duradeck, cooling system, security systems, GApower.....and before an escalated email to a Pulte VP, it would’ve continued.
