Having a new home built can be exciting and stressful. Future home owners need to separate the supply chain and work force factors from the team who is on site building a new home. During construction we had changes in subcontractors, as well as, Pulte representatives. The ONE constant Pulte representative for us was Gina. She was there when we signed our papers and supported us when days were uncertain. She was always honest with us and painted a realistic picture of what to expect during the building process. Gina was also there after we closed to celebrate with us. Things go ...

Pulte Homes - Both Sales Agent and Field Manager were very responsive to questions

Both Sales Agent and Field Manager were very responsive to questions and concerns. Calls were returned promptly and property was available when I needed access to meet with decorators. The field manager was amazing to work with; he kept his word and delivered on his promise. He seemed to care about the Pulte name and brand; ensured that constructions and inspections issues were addressed satisfactorily; and permits and certificate of occupancy documents were in order prior to closing. Workmanship, on the other hand, was lacking. As an example, owners are admonished to have a whole house ...

So far we have been mostly disappointed in the craftsmanship rather than materials. Attention to detail in workmanship and quality control needs improvement. To date, post-closing warranty issues have been addressed.

Love my place, especially location. Was told while originally looking how they use high quality products and make sure everything is installed to perfection. I have paint splatters on my counter tops and floor that was never cleaned up before closing. My floor is starting to lift in places and I only moved in a couple weeks ago. The title company was unprofessional and not good at replying to questions or informing me of steps. The constructions managers, especially Paul and Bryan were amazing!

We moved into a Pulte home a few of months ago. The buying process was straightforward, although the information requested when asked simple questions was less than ideal. There were many cosmetic finish issues, stairs that creak so loud (not some of them) but most of them, floor creaks that are apparent, touch ups to paint that are noticeable, overspray of mud/paint in places like the tile in the shower areas, and more. Just did not expect so much "imperfect" work in a new construction. I filed the work orders for the cosmetic issues about 3 weeks ago and I believe they are advising that ...

Pulte Homes - The overall design and layout were good but the quality of workmanship

The overall design and layout were good but the quality of workmanship for the price is frustrating. The home is very loud when people walk and conversations can be heard through walls. The home doesn't feel solid. The layout works for our family but the quality could be better for price.

With Pulte you get a mixed bag. Overall the people we’ve worked with directly were conscientious and well intentioned and responsive to our questions and requests. The finish workmanship detail has been very poor, especially with regard to painting (front door entry, spiral staircase, front exterior) and front brick work. Very sloppy on detail. I’m thinking, “I just paid what I paid and this is what I got?”. Uggghhh! I heard about Pulte Build Quality, but I guess it didn’t include these things. It’s not like anyone from Pulte has come to me and said, “we agree this is sloppy and we ...

Overall we like our home but numerous problems exist. Most are the result of careless mistakes that now require things to be redone and may be difficult to fix satisfactory.Wish more attention/oversight was given during the building process.

Feel as though accountability and quick action is lacking with basic warranty issues and it requires a heavy push to get things done with the construction and warranty folks. Seem to blame others instead of accepting responsibility and completing the work correctly the 2nd time.

The quality of the builders, Eric and Gus, is fantastic. I could not say anything better about them and their responsiveness to issues. On the opposite spectrum, I would never recommend using Pulte Mortgage. The loan process was the worst I have ever dealt with and took the fun out of watching the house being built.

Pulte Homes - We are happy with the home overall but we were disappointed and

We are happy with the home overall but we were disappointed and frustrated with the buying process. Too many people associated with the purchase of the home. Mistake made on husband’s Social Security number. When we received phone calls and we had to return call it took sometime 6 hours. Also we would receive documents that needed us to fill out and sign at like 5:00pm with expecting a quick response.

They were great, mostly kept to deadlines and built the house much faster than I expected. The quality was very good, but probably not "luxury" as described. The house shows beautifully, but everything is just a tiny bit smaller than it looks when you start living in it (showers, width of driveway, size of garage, dishwasher, sinks, etc) all feels smaller than it looks in the model. Very efficient, but I would not describe as luxury. Lots of things got pushed until after closing, but they are pretty good about keeping their promises and trying to respond to all issues.

Make sure you double check all your sales options from the very beginning. Mistakes can be made and you have to live with them. Our construction manager was awesome and easy to work with. We had a contractor come into the house shortly after it was built to do some work for us and he commented on numerous things that were done very well in the house, which made us feel really good about the purchase as he didn’t have to say that. When you go to Pick your colors and materials for the house it is a three hour session, get as much information upfront as possible from the sales people so you know ...

They closed the house on time and overall, it looks good and met my expectation. Quality could be better though.

Buying a home is overwhelming what more if it’s a new construction. The realtor who assisted us was very helpful. She didn’t mentioned that the price of the lot went up from the first consultation to the time that we signed up which is a week apart. Just a week!!! I tried to appeal but to no avail. They just made more money out of me. The house is just okay. It seems that they rushed the construction. It took them less than 5 months to build on a winter time. Pulte needs to reconsider their general contractors. There’s a lot of hard dried paint on the carpet. The carpet edges were not smooth. ...

Pulte Homes - There was great communication between the sales office and me

There was great communication between the sales office and me but their seemed to be a lack of communication elsewhere. There were a few instances where I was told one thing and it was wrong or for some reason it had to be changed. I wished I was aware of those changes before they were put in place. For instance in the design center, I was showed the cabinet garbage holder and was told that’s the one I would get and I got a cheaper version instead. There was also the instance of the whole process of getting an offer accepted and not being able to actually see the lots before the offers had ...

I think my over all experience with home part is good but the main thing is the cost of optional items for even very small things. I think when some one is buying new home builder needs to spend default on few things like kitchen backsplash, side/back fences, bathroom soap holders, heated garage door, cabinet knobs, internet cable underground or fan plugin points. These are some basic default things for each home for which cost should be not charge to customer. This thing does not goes well with Pulte being so renowned builder you should consider these option by default in your basic unit. ...
