Pulte professionals were great to deal with during the entire process. They thoroughly explained what to expect from the day we visited the 1st model and made the commitment to purchase. We are very satisfied with our new home.

There was great communication between the sales office and me but their seemed to be a lack of communication elsewhere. There were a few instances where I was told one thing and it was wrong or for some reason it had to be changed. I wished I was aware of those changes before they were put in place. For instance in the design center, I was showed the cabinet garbage holder and was told that’s the one I would get and I got a cheaper version instead. There was also the instance of the whole process of getting an offer accepted and not being able to actually see the lots before the offers had to be put in and signed. This was also with having a limit on the sales appointment. I was mailed the contract very early in the morning and had to sign it before 12pm the same day. ... More

Buying this home was a roller coaster initially due to heavy demand for the Wagner Farms community. While the price was steep, the rest of the experience with the Sales team, Field Managers and Customer Care was awesome. Given the crazy demand for homes during this year, it has been a great experience overall.

The quality of the materials is low, workmanship is terrible, tiles are not arranged properly, so there is a pond in the shower. The other tiles are not arranged properly and when i pointed out to the superintendent he said they cant do anything about it. The vinyl floor is cracking, the stairs are starting to be uneven, the kitchen cabinets got here with cracked parts and its been 2months after the closing but they don't have an update for them. They said the painting will be in 3 coats, but there seems to be only one, with the lowest quality of paint, several spots have been pointed out on the walk through that need to be repainter because we can see the drywall mud, some of them have been covered but some of them not…. Excited about our new home

Pulte was great to work with during the construction process. We were notified of each phase of construction and response time for questions was very good. I can’t say the same for issues after closing on my home. The response time is much slower, requires multiple attempts (takes several weeks). There were also a few surprises which were not told to us during the buying process. The home quality appears to be okay. There could have been more care taken in leaving the outside of the home cleaner, eg. cement splatter, pieces of siding and nails. The Design Center experience was fun, many options to choose from. My experience was Pulte was great. They handed it over on time and we didn't had any issues. Overall, the process was very smooth. I'm happy with Pulte.

The final paint on the overall house interiors is very bad and requires so much maintenance. The appliances that are provided are not good and they take no responsibility to replace it within the warranty period. The price that we have paid for the upgrades are way too high than they are worth for. Even the lawn was not set properly by them.

You buy a box, nothing is included! basic base selection is dull therefore you have to upgrade and pay more! by the time you add all the necessities to beautify your place, you add & pay $80,000 more. Paint job not very good!

Had so many issues with our home in Creekside Crossing Plainfield Illinois. Our sales experience was pretty lacking and it really relied on us to make the right decisions here which of course led to some gaps at the end (seemed like she never though we would buy, even after we put down our deposit). There were also quite a few options that were available but not on our options sheet which we missed out on (additional windows is an example). Designer was pretty helpful though we didn't run through all the options so we had to keep asking for things we were seeing on the wall and what could be done. Not sure if she didn't want to upsell us or if she was in a rush but in either case we had to be our own advocates here as well (also wasn't perfectly knowledgeable, told us we couldn't have 3 glass shower shelves in the bathroom because the height would be too high but we could have easily had one at 1', 3' and 5' since we have one at 3' and 5' and the tile is 2' long). Construction manager never sent us meeting notes from our pre-construction meeting so that led to a series of miscommunications making it all the way to the end of the build (which were refused to be corrected; ethernet located on the exterior instead of attic). Communication was pretty substandard and for every 4 emails we sent we would get back maybe 1 which wouldn't answer everything either (no regular updates either on progress until much later in the process). Found quite a few errors at our pre-drywall meeting and even more at our celebration which were options we selected and were never installed (humidifier, outlets outside/inside, ethernet port, conduit from attic to basement, etc.). There are also sooo many quality issues we have tickets for corrections for and they are still not completed 2 months after closing (we are even missing some sod in our backyard). Their contractors they recommend who worked on the home (who you have to use to maintain your warranty by the way) either won't respond, refused to do the work or come in double to triple other comparable vendors. Great example was the plumber, refused to work with us and provide an estimate for a water softener, their second recommendation (who would void our warranty) came in 2.5 times more than what a local water softening company came in to do the work for (and they provided me a life time warranty even instead of the 1 year with the plumber they said). Had to fix a siding issue (due to the mistake with the exterior ethernet) and their contractor told me he wouldn't work with me because I didn't speak Spanish. I told the construction managers and they said they would get me someone else but never did (who also would void my warranty...). Very disappointed with the whole process. Also, despite me ranking their surveys poorly and even listing my name/number in them I haven't heard anything from their corporate office. Just an awful experience. ... More

Houses are really built with very poor quality, there are lot of echo and you can hear through walls up stair/downstair, also even slow walk sound as a big bang noise. flush in a bathroom will create noise as if there was a big machine turned on and it is very lound rt below bathrooms (this is a big issue where we have work from home and in the meeting), this itself show how poor quality is.

I was just excited about the entire build process with Pulte. Right from the start of the home selection process, through the interior design session and the actual build the Pulte team were always very helpful and constantly providing me with all the information I needed. The quality of the home is very good and I feel I got real value for my money invested. I can only offer great recommendation for Pulte as a valued home builder based on my experience.

it's ok, some things could be much better

Inability to negotiate anything in the contract T&Cs, a bit upsetting. Other than that, builder did a good job all around.

Home is beautiful. Salesperson should reference a list of options to go over with home buyer-not rely on home buyer discovering that something wasn’t even offered during the building process. Also, salesperson strongly suggested that I not get the backsplash option for my kitchen, and do it myself, but when I thought it through and thought that because I bought a range tower exhaust, it might be wise to have the builder do the backsplash was abruptly told by the salesperson that it was too late and I had to do it myself, regardless of my willingness to pay the $500 change fee. When I made onsite visits, I was appalled to see that workers left empty bottles and cups and trash in my new Kohler bathtubs and that one window screen was severely trashed and on the floor in the garage. Field manager said that as a homebuyer, I could call at any time and he would respond—-not true.....never returned phone calls. Salesperson and field manager blamed the US Post Office for placement and assignment of mailboxes. Was told by both the salesperson and the field manger that my mailbox would be right across the street from my house....not true....discovered after closing that my mailbox was not one of the four towers across the street from me, but one block over. Field manager blamed landscaping company for not installing sod until day after I closed on the house, which benefitted the builder because builder didn’t have to pay the water bill for watering sod. Names of streets are confusing....One half of a block is Samantha Joy Lane and the other half is Samantha Joy Court. Mail is messed up because the numbering duplicates numbers of houses on other streets and mail carriers are severely confused. Construction traffic oftentimes blocks the mailboxes so that those of us residents who have to drive to our mailboxes cannot stop and safely get out to check the mail. Overall good. Build fit and finish could be much better. Grass not properly cared for prior to closing.

I think my over all experience with home part is good but the main thing is the cost of optional items for even very small things. I think when some one is buying new home builder needs to spend default on few things like kitchen backsplash, side/back fences, bathroom soap holders, heated garage door, cabinet knobs, internet cable underground or fan plugin points. These are some basic default things for each home for which cost should be not charge to customer. This thing does not goes well with Pulte being so renowned builder you should consider these option by default in your basic unit. Last the title company, please change it or upgrade your staff. ... Make sure you double check all your sales options from the very beginning. Mistakes can be made and you have to live with them. Our construction manager was awesome and easy to work with. We had a contractor come into the house shortly after it was built to do some work for us and he commented on numerous things that were done very well in the house, which made us feel really good about the purchase as he didn’t have to say that. When you go to Pick your colors and materials for the house it is a three hour session, get as much information upfront as possible from the sales people so you know what you’re looking at before you get there. You’ll spend too much time searching through things you could’ve looked at prior to getting there. Pulte could have a better set up if they put things on their website and allowed you to click through them. All in all we feel the house is an excellent home and our experience was a decent one. There were bumps and sales people could have been better, but our Construction manager was awesome and we love the house. In the end, I think that is all that matters. ... More
