Home is beautiful. Salesperson should reference a list of options to go over with home buyer-not rely on home buyer discovering that something wasn’t even offered during the building process. Also, salesperson strongly suggested that I not get the backsplash option for my kitchen, and do it myself, but when I thought it through and thought that because I bought a range tower exhaust, it might be wise to have the builder do the backsplash was abruptly told by the salesperson that it was too late and I had to do it myself, regardless of my willingness to pay the $500 change fee. When I made onsite visits, I was appalled to see that workers left empty bottles and cups and trash in my new Kohler bathtubs and that one window screen was severely trashed and on the floor in the garage. Field manager said that as a homebuyer, I could call at any time and he would respond—-not true.....never returned phone calls. Salesperson and field manager blamed the US Post Office for placement and assignment of mailboxes. Was told by both the salesperson and the field manger that my mailbox would be right across the street from my house....not true....discovered after closing that my mailbox was not one of the four towers across the street from me, but one block over. Field manager blamed landscaping company for not installing sod until day after I closed on the house, which benefitted the builder because builder didn’t have to pay the water bill for watering sod. Names of streets are confusing....One half of a block is Samantha Joy Lane and the other half is Samantha Joy Court. Mail is messed up because the numbering duplicates numbers of houses on other streets and mail carriers are severely confused. Construction traffic oftentimes blocks the mailboxes so that those of us residents who have to drive to our mailboxes cannot stop and safely get out to check the mail. Overall good. Build fit and finish could be much better. Grass not properly cared for prior to closing.

I think my over all experience with home part is good but the main thing is the cost of optional items for even very small things. I think when some one is buying new home builder needs to spend default on few things like kitchen backsplash, side/back fences, bathroom soap holders, heated garage door, cabinet knobs, internet cable underground or fan plugin points. These are some basic default things for each home for which cost should be not charge to customer. This thing does not goes well with Pulte being so renowned builder you should consider these option by default in your basic unit. Last the title company, please change it or upgrade your staff. ... Make sure you double check all your sales options from the very beginning. Mistakes can be made and you have to live with them. Our construction manager was awesome and easy to work with. We had a contractor come into the house shortly after it was built to do some work for us and he commented on numerous things that were done very well in the house, which made us feel really good about the purchase as he didn’t have to say that. When you go to Pick your colors and materials for the house it is a three hour session, get as much information upfront as possible from the sales people so you know what you’re looking at before you get there. You’ll spend too much time searching through things you could’ve looked at prior to getting there. Pulte could have a better set up if they put things on their website and allowed you to click through them. All in all we feel the house is an excellent home and our experience was a decent one. Easy to work with…very helpful

We have been living in our new home for almost 2 months now and absolutely love it. The whole process start to finish was very smooth. The model we chose is very modern, and great for families. The walk in pantry and oversized mudroom is great to have with small children. We also love the planning center incorporated into the layout. It makes a great office while our flex room is being used as a playroom. It will make a great homework station when the kids are older and the flex room becomes an office. Only thing I wish was different is we had more time to think about structural options. We got the list of options at the meeting to sign our contract, So we had about an hour to go through the list and decide what we wanted. We wanted to add in vaulted ceilings 2 days later and were told it was too late, Which is okay. I just wish we had a few days to really think about it. Over all we are incredibly happy with out pulte experience. Our sales consultant was awesome. She was very knowledgeable and very nice. The building crew was also great. Don't be afraid to pick out your own items in the house, even if they don't offer it.

Every step of the way we were surprised on how well thought out the buying, building and closing process was. The quality of the house is amazing and the warranties given were impressing. This was our first house bought and build and it will probably be the last, because the house turned out incredible.

Don’t fall prey their pre closing experience. They literally don’t care once closing is over. We closed the house without the driveway and landscaping and it’s been more 2 months and we still don’t have driveway and landscaping . I have sent multiple emails to PM but all I heard is an excuse that it’s delay due to weather conditions. They did driveway and landscaping for all the new house closed after us and pouring basement concrete for the new construction which is far from closing . The weather rule don’t apply to them. It’s unfair and disparate treatment . I never expected big builder like Pulte will do this. Please make sure you follow through your promise and deliver what you committed . I've been in my new home for six weeks. I've have had a lot of issues with my home, air conditioning does not work, no driveway yet, issues with the sliding screen door, pounding noice when heat is on and a lot of other issues. If I had do do it over again I would not buy a pulte home!!!!

The house is basically a kit so, the fundamentals are good. But the finishing is poor. Exterior and interior painting is poor. Interior trim is poor. Front door does not fit. Basement window well is littered with construction materials. They cut corners everywhere they can. We have built 3 homes and this is the most expensive and the poorest quality. I have requested things to be fixed and so far nothing.

This is the third new construction home that we've built but the first with Pulte. It was, by far, the best experience we've had from sales to post-closing. Every step o the way, the team communicated with us and quickly responded to any questions. We learned things at our walk-through that we never knew about construction and wished we'd had the Pulte homeowner book with our first house. Since humans build houses, they are not perfect. However, the process for getting items addressed is easy, and the work is completed quickly.

With Pulte you get a mixed bag. Overall the people we’ve worked with directly were conscientious and well intentioned and responsive to our questions and requests. The finish workmanship detail has been very poor, especially with regard to painting (front door entry, spiral staircase, front exterior) and front brick work. Very sloppy on detail. I’m thinking, “I just paid what I paid and this is what I got?”. Uggghhh! I heard about Pulte Build Quality, but I guess it didn’t include these things. It’s not like anyone from Pulte has come to me and said, “we agree this is sloppy and we can do better. we’re going to make this right”. Maybe someone will read this that cares and has the time to follow up. ... More

Everyone was very responsive and the quality was great as well. The only issue is the house was not designed with the owner in mind. There are a lot of inconveniently located items that Pulte was unwilling to change prior to construction. These items severely limit space.

I was not happy with the experience. I feel that they do not go above and beyond and once you sign they don't even call you back. They don't finish the end product.

Gina was great with sales and communication. Anthony and Nick have been helpful and responsive during and after building. Celeste made making design choices easy in the design center. While most of the work was high quality, the quality and neatness of a couple of the sub-contractors was not up to Pulte and our standards.

Great experience would encourage anyone who is looking for a builder to give Pulte a call

We really like the design of the house. There is a lot of storage space. You do, however, pay extra for every little things. The things that come standard are so basic that everyone - from the sales person to the consultant at the design meeting highly encourages you to upgrade, which then, of course, drives up the cost for the house. Most frustrating has been our closing experience. We had a pre-closing walk-through date set. At 5 PM the night before, we got a call that the walk-through and our move-in date (scheduled for that weekend) had to be moved back. I understand issues around supply, but those should have been known earlier on. We already had everything set up to make the move happen - and trying to manage a move during COVID with a 1-year old baby is challenging enough without the company changing dates on you last minute! Many of the issues from our pre-closing walk-through had not been addressed. We have since added additional items to the list that we noticed (e.g., we paid extra for a mirror in our master bathroom since don't come standard - the mirror they installed was chipped. We didn't notice it during the walk-through as a lot of furniture had paint splatters on it - so I assumed it was the same with the mirror. But when I looked at it, it was chipped). Now, two months later, nothing has been taken care of. Last Friday, we were told that contractors would stop by to address all items on the list. The e-mail confirmation, however, only listed two of about 10 items. We called and were told all items would be addressed. I then rearranged my work schedule to make sure I was available during the time the contractors would come by. And nobody came. We called to let them know and now, almost a week later, nothing has been done yet. I have responded to several surveys sharing the challenges we've had with getting our closing items completed - we then get a phone call from someone higher up in the company promising that things will be taken care of. That sometimes results in an e-mail or phone call promising that work will get done - but then there is no follow-through. I would not buy from Pulte ever again. ... More

Please be very careful when deciding a Pulte home. Your first experience at the model, just like with any other builder, will be a great one and you will see the potential for your home. First piece of advice, I would ensure you have a good sales consultant that knows what they are doing and is knowledgeable. Ours was the opposite of that and essentially ruined the home buying experience for us. She tried to charge us for things that were not needed, neglected to advise us that basic items, such as a master bathroom mirror and a garage door opener were not included in the purchase. Those two items we learned about the days leading up to closing. Floors are uneven in the home, the home was unfinished and dirty, and then responses to get workers to the house have been, at best, slow to respond. It has been nearly two months since closing and we are still waiting for "punch list" items to be completed regarding the interior of the home. Pulte and their sales consultants seem to be more concerned about profitability vs customer satisfaction which is unfortunate considering how much people are spending on these homes. (Note: I have requested someone from Pulte to contact me regarding my experience thus far and their neglect to do so speaks volumes about their feelings towards customer service) ... More
