Justin was a pleasure to work with and kept me updated in the progress of my new home which I greatly appreciated.

Pulte built a structurally sound home. Buying process was painful. Design Center was a great experience. Quality of workmanship was mixed (example; floor and tile work were great, Paint and finish carpentry not so great). Overall, a builder's grade quality home. Optional design choices offered are very overpriced. Staff is responsive to issue resolution.

We are happy with our Pulte home, but there are issues, as there are with most builders. They were on schedule with all the timelines they gave us from the beginning. We liked our sales person Kristen. Ultimately the finishing touches were the only disappointment upon moving in. Floors are not all level, and the vinyl plank floors are rather squeaky because of this. Even some carpeted areas have high points for no apparent reason. Their “canned lights” look to be done in the cheapest possible way. A smaller hole in the ceiling, with a larger and less attractive light overplaying the smaller opening. Some fit and finish issues with doors and paint as well. The neighborhood and lots are great. Overall everything in the house works, and we’re happy with how things turned out. Would just be happier if those smaller fit and finish items were no there, and their warranty policy only allows them to come out one time in that first year to deal with these things, so we’ll be living with them for a while. ... From first visit to model home sales office, to design studio experience, to new house build, to closing, to move in day, our experience was great! Work was completed on time and lots of help making decisions throughout the process.

Kildeer Crossing is an awesome community in greater Chicago area. Proximity to great stores is making is one of the prime locations. I am highly impressed with Construction Manager Mr Garrison .. who takes pride in his work and navigate us with all the process in timely and humble manner. I would highly recommend Kildeer Crossings for new construction in Chicagoland.

The walk through was rushed. After moving in, we have experienced many issues. Leaves a very bad taste in our mouths when you pay 700k+ for a home that has leaks, electrical issues, etc. Probably wouldn't recommend Pulte at this point.

Process has been great so far with purchasing and construction. Some of the material quality provided is not so great.

We have had a great experience so far with out home! The only thing that has caused multiple problems for us are the windows. We received a cracked window and had to wait several weeks for it to be replaced. Our basement window leaks when it rains. And the windows are not completely sealed which causes airs to get through on the sides. Pulte as a whole has done a great job but not sure who they are using for their windows.

We expected the Fire Place to be in the wall NOT IN THE CORNER. No one told me that it would be in the corner and no one told me that I would lose one window and it would shorten the space in the gathering room. Second FAULTY LAYOUT with one light outside the garage door hiding behind the Pole. No one offered to have wash sink in the Laundry Room which is very important to have it. Most of work seems to be to finish the construction this way or that way and take my money and run away. Very bad experience.

Some items needed attending/repairs before closing. Already have nail pops in ceiling. Sloppy painting job.

Love my house, but I noticed that some work could have been better. I feel like the workmanship was rushed, mistakes were made when they could have been avoided.

Tyler and Dylan have been so great as the construction managers and the best part of the process. 5 Stars across the board. However, our experience with Pulte mortgage was not great. There was a $7000 additional buyers' credit that was promised to us for using Pulte mortgage. We were two weeks away from closing only to find out that the $7000 credit was "miscommunicated" and in fact would not be offered. While all of the miscommunication come from Pulte, there was absolutely no accountability or ownership taken by anyone. The only one that took ownership for Pulte's mistake was us. Unfortunately, this all come to our attention at the 11th hour, and we were too close to the closing date to have time to engage another lender for better options. We were trapped and the whole thing, whether it was or not, seemed very intentional and extremely underhanded. There is a room for workmanship. We haven't raised any question or issues, so can not comment on Responsiveness yet.

Transparent and clean buying process. Superb help and responsiveness, very helpful and truthful. Extremely trustworthy. Superb quality of construction and the best part…. The team and the people. They were the best… everyone of them.

We had really bad experience with one of our stair selection. We opted for stairs on the upstairs and when the home was done built Pulte put in a drywall there instead. This was so heartbreaking and Pulte was never ready to get it fixed or provide compensation for us to hire some one outside to fix it

So glad you asked. Where do I start? Home was in a FEMA flood zone. This was not disclosed at time of sale. Amy, salesperson, could not show me samples or pictures of the exterior siding or brick when asked. Closing credit was to be applied for flood insurance but this was not done. Flood insurance was not purchased by Pulte as indicated on closing documents. Issues with basic functions like heat and water. Issues with home are not being properly addressed. I feel if Pulte can make a nickel more profit as opposed to customer satisfaction they would choose the nickel. I am happy with the layout of the home and the community. Absolutely not a great experience buying home with Pulte, they do not maintain the community after the closing. They do not respond on time, for warranty issues, have been trying to reach construction manager, their responsiveness is absolutely disastrous.

During the home buying process, as an attorney who handles real estate transactions, the process was a bit unconventional as there were no attorneys handling the deal, but the process went smoothly overall. However, our window is cracked and we are missing a screen and there has been no response from Pulte. We have a baby on the way and we have not received any communication on when this window will be fixed or even acknowledgement of our window issue.

Upon arriving with 2 (two) trucks from Florida (2 days) driving with household items were we informed that the closing was delayed and that we had to wait till electrical power was connected to our Townhome. Highly unprofessional and a hardship upon the owner and kids. We had to stay in a hotel and later on in a rental home. The problems we endured unloading and packing our goods in other trucks and stores again were the worst experiences ever for a new Pulte home buyer.

We are happy with the way our new home turned out. Everything looks better than expected. Although there were times we felt communication could have been better, it was an overall great experience and our Pulte team (Brandon and Jesse) were very responsive to our questions or needs.

My overall homebuying experience with the Pulte Group was exceptional. This is my third home purchase, but the first-time buying a new home. Working with Brandon, Celeste, Gem, Stacy, Kathy and Jesse made the whole process a pleasure.

The home turned out gorgeous and the Pulte team that we worked with was so easy and on top of every last detail. I would 100% recommend building with Pulte.

Communication was great throughout the process. Multiple touch points to visit the home while under construction. The house was delivered on time.

We moved into a Pulte home a few of months ago. The buying process was straightforward, although the information requested when asked simple questions was less than ideal. There were many cosmetic finish issues, stairs that creak so loud (not some of them) but most of them, floor creaks that are apparent, touch ups to paint that are noticeable, overspray of mud/paint in places like the tile in the shower areas, and more. Just did not expect so much "imperfect" work in a new construction. I filed the work orders for the cosmetic issues about 3 weeks ago and I believe they are advising that those issues would be resolved in 1 year - I have not heard from anyone but that is my understanding when we closed the home. Not a huge deal just expected more when paying so much for their homes. The market rate for the same home is approximately 100k-150k less. My expectations buying a home from a national home builder was not high, but I assumed that the basics (cleaning, paint, drywall mudding, creaks, ect) would be satisfactory. Overall, if you have the time allotted to search for a new home, I would advise to go with a local home builder, there is more quality, craftsmanship, and pride in their work. ... More
