The experience was pleasant. There was some issues but were able to work thru them.

There are always issues after closing. Most are minor, but there isn’t great customer service or responsiveness after closing by construction manager. We are an afterthought. There should be a person on the construction side to make customers requests feel important post closing for all issues, especially the non warranty issues. Dropping the ball here is what dropped the score.

Andy and Ryan were phenomenal as Project Manager/Sales Rep. The trades were beyond horrible with craftmanship and response times. Crooked drywall, crooked cabinets, crooked countertops, and crooked door trim and frames awaited me everywhere on the day of my closing. During the build, the trades were scheduled for a certain day and/or time, which was relayed to me by Andy, but when I would check on the house, that particular item was not completed. Sometimes the delay was a week, sometimes the delay was a month. The trades would also have a punch list of five items that I would present to Andy; however, only one item would get completed. If I did not visit the construction site every day, and relay to Andy the issues I found at the time, who knows how bad the framing and some finishing touches would have been. I was told that the closet in a bedroom would be square before HVAC was installed. Unfortunately, the drywall was installed to prep for the furnace and not much could have been done with the wall afterward. I combed through the house searching for any and all crooked walls and was able to point most of them out. Unfortunately, when the drywall was cut, you can see curves and angles that are not square or straight. I will give props to the company that tiled the master shower. I'm unsure how Pulte even got the approval to open another subdivision in Zionsville. Issues with organization/communication--and more importantly not owning up to basic responsibilities and failures. If Pulte continues on this trajectory, they will either be bankrupt or if still around under another name.

It was a Brilliant ideas

My sales rep, Jason, was wonderful to work with during the process. During the build though sometimes my house would sit for a couple of months with no work done. Then Andy and Logan took over as field managers and things started to happen quickly finally. All three of these people were great to deal with and on top of things. Once I got into my new house though a few issues came up and it takes weeks for any responses or any one to come out to do repairs. At the moment I have three windows that are leaking causing the paint and drywall to peel, stain and break apart. I reported this issue on 11/27 and after finally getting a response about a week later, I was told the soonest anyone can come is 12/22. It is now 12/26 and no one has called or showed up yet. It's a great location and layout but just a few things is showing that the quality of workmanship is poor. Other neighbors have had the same issues with getting any responses as I have so seems once Pulte gets your money, you get put on the back burner for any issues to be resolved even though there are workers and companies in the neighborhood almost every day, all day long working on building new homes but not existing ones. ... This is the third home we have built and Pulte by far has been the worst experience of all three. What makes this so surprising is that Pulte has been the most expensive home we have ever built as well. It started off great with our original sales rep. We picked our design and colors and materials. Multiple items were unavailable but we understand that the timing of this was also during Covid. In the process, we had 4 different construction managers and so much information was lost in communication. There were several instances where they did not respond to our emails or calls. Only to later find out something was done wrong or put in the wrong place. We were rushed to have a final walkthrough inspection where the house was 80% finished at best. We told them multiple times that we were in no rush whatsoever. After we closed on our house, we found multiple paint and drywall imperfections that were supposed to have been fixed on the final day of closing. The amount of frustration caused for such a “supposedly” higher end home has been utterly disappointing. ... More

The construction manager was available and responded quickly but the overall project was drawn out over 10 months. They left the house filthy, especially the floors. Expect to mop them several times to get the dry wall dust off.

Overall, horrible build process and experience that resulted in an extremely overpriced and low quality home for the price point. Zero responsibility taken by Pulte for a build that went well beyond the contractual completion date with no legitimate reason other than mismanagement, which resulted in thousands of dollars in additional cost to us and no recourse or consideration from Pulte. Pulte also caused mold in our home during the build and refused to acknowledge, properly remediate or perform follow on testing to ensure the safety of our family because, as the Construction Rep in the neighborhood stated, “Pulte doesn’t do that”. The manner in which the situation was handled was a disgusting and reprehensible business tactic. Furthermore, the manner in which clients are treated in this area is from the top down as the local VP of Construction stated to me, “Don’t copy me on any emails because I won’t read them anyway”. It was a telling statement as to how I was going to be treated during the build. Pulte doesn’t have enough time to manage their work properly but finds plenty of time to rush a closing date in order to collect their profits, regardless of the status of the punch list, then stops all communications beyond that date. Choosing to build with Pulte, rather than a more reputable builder, is one of my most regrettable decisions I have ever made. ... More

It could be worse but it’s not the best either. Better than some other builders.

Despite some early headaches in the build process, we are ultimately happy with our new home.

I'm not going in to detail, but it was average at best. The time to build the home was absurd. I also find it humorous that you have a link to help me write a "great review". Wow.

Pulte helped us create our dream home when we kept looking at houses others had lived in we had given up hope on finding anything that we would even remotely like. Then we had a consultation with Pulte and were amazed at what they offered and what they could do for us to give us our dream home!

I am extremely disappointed with Pulte Homes. I have see a lot of homes they have built in Carmel in the 90’s, and That’s the reason I choose them. My experience was horrible.I had to wait 12 months for my home, and the delay was all their fault, I am not satisfy with the last minute rush , I was doing walk through 3 hours before closing, work men were there trying to patch up things, the only reason I went all the all that crop, because I sold my house and had to seek shelter elsewhere. The sad thing about my experience I tried to reach out to the Pulte so call Team, no one reach out to me, the only person I could talk to is Ann from the Mortgage Team, she would listen and pass my concern to the so call team. I would like this message to be pass on to the CEO. The Pulte home I purchase cause me a lot of stress and anger and loss of trust. I sent a request to the team by Ann from the mortgage Department requesting reimbursement for the cost of having personal belongings in storage, and its 4 weeks now no reply. I am treated less than a Dog, I am retired and I used all my life savings to purchase this house , and this is the way I am treated, I am waiting for the reimbursement of cost for the storage , this is expense that I cannot afford. Our sales rep, Ryan, was a pleasure to work with and very responsive. However, it was clear that Pulte is stretching its staff too far based on the lack of responsiveness from the building crew. We have also had numerous issues crop up after move in and it has been very difficult to get a hold of the proper party to place a ticket for these issues. Also, our loan processor, Lorre, was a nightmare to work with as far as her organization and responsiveness to common questions. Our loan consultant, Ann, was awesome though! Somewhat disappointed with our new home buying experience, specifically with the receipt of the house after closing. House was not cleaned properly and extensive items were either missing or not done correctly. Our concerns have not been met with a sense of urgency.

The build manager was Jackson and he’s knowledgeable , enthusiastic, and prompt. If you get him you’ll be in good hands. The build progressed at a good pace. We hired our own inspector and he caught a couple of things, but nothing major. The flaws were rectified and we love our home!

Did lot of follow up before closing . Still things are pending for fix which was committed on email to be fixed by field manager . Still it’s open . I never recommend anyone . Not sure it’s Pulte management fault or field manager fault or contract fault . No one aware about what they have done what they have to look . Really very very bad experience

Overall good, but can be better on communication and response on issies raised during construction. Build quality need to be improved on details. We are still waiting on unfinished things after closing for more than a month.

We LOVE our new home and are happy with the entire home building process! MATT, Senior Construction Manager, provided clear communications from day one to our close. He was attentive and responsive to issues that were beyond anyone’s control as well as cares deeply about delivering a 100% completed home. We also can’t say enough wonderful things about his assistant TYLER! He truly goes the extra mile for you! It is so evident MATT AND TYLER’s priorities are to deliver a beautiful home and community in a timely manner. That’s when it goes from being just another house to a forever home. Rocky start and some items to button up, but satisfied overall

The building process ran into delays (Covid) that were frustrating but not necessarily Pulte’s fault. In the end, our construction manager, Jen, worked so hard to make sure things were done before we closed. She continues to work hard on some small issues that have come up after close and she is committed to making sure our house is perfect.
