The experience of building a townhome in Retreat on the Monon was ideal! Selection of materials is on site, and very nice quality, even the lower priced materials. The project manager was very approachable and clear on the explanations of the property. Our home was completed 2 months ahead of schedule!!!

Very well defined product and process. That said not a great deal of flexibility in offering and delivery which is fine if that is what you seek. They are good at what they do, and they do it again and again!

Pleased with Pulte Home

The buying from agent and interior designer was excellent. Not thrilled with pulte mortgage. Little details overlooked but big stuff was mostly right in the build itself. Garage walls not quite square (internal).

Tabitha in the beginning made my walkthrough efficient. Austin has made everything after signing easy. I’ve had a few issues, but were resolved within a week.

The experience was pleasant. There was some issues but were able to work thru them.

We enjoyed working with Pulte as they built our home. They were very responsive at the beginning, as we had one sales person for our community of ~40 homes. However, our sales person ended up leaving Pulte and there was a decent gap where questions were hard to get answered due to this. Otherwise the build process was actually very smooth and our house closed on time. We did have a list of items that still needed to be completed post-close. I highly recommend getting these done before you close on your home. It seemed like once we closed, the list of items to be completed were put on the backburner as they focused on other homes that weren't complete yet. We are still waiting on some items to be completed over a month after our closing (which is why I rated responsiveness a 3). Great build, sometimes slow to respond on inquiries. Craftsmanship pretty good overall.

If I have opportunity to buy home again, I will chose pulte home again

Our construction manager Jon was great. Didn’t have the best experience with our sales person Jamie though.

The biggest disappointment has probably been the paint. We closed on October 23rd and we've already seen areas where the paint is chipped, wasn't applied thoroughly or wasn't taken all the way to the corners. While I understand it's not high quality paint, I personally expected a better paint for the sizable investment we made with Pulte. We will now have to hire someone to fix these issues which we felt should have been done in the first place. I would also add we have a few areas in the floors that have been pushed up. Overall we are happy with the home. Purchased mainly because of the location. Have purchased Pulte homes before in other states and were surprised at the difference. As I said, overall happy but there is room for improvement.

Our Field Manager, Bill, was VERY GOOD. He made the experience less worrisome than I expected. He answered questions within a day. He took care of issues immediately. I would give him a 5 out of 5

We really enjoyed our home building process with Pulte! We had to stay on top of getting the minor things fixed and prioritized along the way, but we are super happy with the end result. Would definitely recommend this community to others.

I worked with a very fantastic sames rep, Her customer service and engagement is top notch. However, I did not have an all pleasing experience with the loan application process and approval. Some of the documents requested are unnecessary and ridiculous to the extent of requesting the bank statement of someone that made a zelle payment of $40 into my account, saying they needed it to confirm if the amont left the senders account, isn't that ridiculous? I was very disappointed such document was requested because its an intrusion into another party's privacy, someone that has no business in the loan and house buying process. For the most part the workmanship and responsiveness to issues has been pretty good. Seems like the materials used could be a higher grade, like the mirrors, faucets and towel bars. Be sure to be careful as to what lot and model you and both of your neighbors choose. In Fishers at the Remington we have our neighbor with a large open covered patio on the northwest corner of their house and our master bedroom is on the southwest corner of our house. So any noise comes straight to our bedroom. Also, the top soil was removed before the houses were built so the yard is nothing but rocks of all sizes, concrete, metal and all kinds of building items. It is nearly impossible to get anything but weeds to grow along the side and back of the house. This was a farm previously so the soil should have been excellent. There was also a mix up on the water softener/reverse osmosis system. I take half the blame because I didn't notice it on the specs but no house should be built in Indiana and not have a water softener or at least the hookup for one. We wouldn't want a reverse osmosis system with a farmhouse sink. The cleaning crew could have done a much better job throughout the house. The floor guy had to come back out because of some spots in various places in the house. He ended up using acetone to remove them. I had to go around every inch of the carpet along the hard woods with a hammer and mash down the spikes. We love the location, the three car garage, the spacious family/kitchen/dining room, the covered patio, the large master closets and the walk-in shower. ... More

Pulte Homes has been very responsive to all of our concerns. The only complaint I have is our siding. Have asked for three weeks now to have someone look at a concern we have with some of our siding. Our warranty person has sent a few requests to the siding person but have not heard from them after three weeks. Everyone else has been quick to respond and contact us. This lack of communication on the contacts part for the siding is concerning for us.

Overall, a good experience. House was done quickly, most issues addressed in timely manner. Pulte Mortgage process was cumbersome, took a long time. Some included features were dated and very basic, designed to make you feel the need to upgrade. But overall we have been mostly pleased and love our new home.
