There is always room for improvements on finishing.

Overall the building experience was positive, they finished the home in the time they promised, quality of the build was good, some small details that were fixed. In summary my experience has been positive.

Follow up to correct issues after closing is slow. Would at least appreciate a periodic phone call or email status report on outstanding items. Has been >2 months since reported by home owner...a growing concern.

My pulte home is beautiful! No home is perfect, but pulte made the process easy and my home is beautiful

We were early into our house hunt and we found a Pulte new community that would be close to school and other amenities. The price was higher than expected possibly due to location. The sales rep was honest and helped us chose the upgrades that we needed. Design appointment was excellent and Abby did a fantastic job, my only feedback would be to see if weekend appointments can be arranged as we had to take day off work to make it. Work was on schedule but we felt a bit rushed at times which likley caused some build quality issues. Large crack on foundation was not expected but we were told was safe and within tolerable limits, although most of our neighbors mentiiend that they didn't have such cracks. Frmaign material looked of poor quality with numerous cracks and blemishes, specially compared to other newer builds that was happening in the same community. Again we were told that within tolerable limits, may be we just got a bad batch. Small blemishes in final finish some of them were nti taken care of, as we were told it is within contractor grade quality. But we expected a more premium finish for the price. Finally as we are two months in moving in, landscaping probably was the worst part of the build quality and it is not under warranty. Poor quality gradign with no top aoido and grass never came out in the backyard. Had to invest a fortune to fix the backyard and front yard sod. Overall, I would say a decent experience. Buy my next house o would probably custom build, as we had little control over the quality of materials and workmanship. I would likely not recommend to my friends. ... More

Construction manager changed last minute so very little continuity in support. Closing date was also randomly set without any room for negotiation which was ridiculous.

The front office personnel was rarely in office. I called Pulte to schedule time to visit the model home and was finally able to speak with a rep. The first rep took a first glance and assumed we couldn’t afford our home. Judged us almost immediately. It went downhill with this guy. However Maitlyn was a breath of fresh air. She answered all questions and very outgoing. They say if you don’t have anything good to say don’t say anything at all. I’ll say Pulte Finance is abysmal. That’s putting it lightly. We moved recently to a new home built by Pulte. The house is fully functional, but Pulte could have done a much better job on details...there are too many scratches on the walls and doors, some unfinished parts etc. We tried to be very careful at the final inspection and we still missed many small details. Not enough towel supports in bathrooms, cheap faucets and shower...for the money we paid, we would have expected a better quality of work but when you build 20 houses in the same community and the same time, of course we are not paying attention to the details that are very important for customers. ... Overall the house is built well. I would encourage anyone to be picky and don’t let things slide just because it’s a new house. The finish work was just ok. And the attention to details was something to improve on. I would use them again with a more diligent approval.

Great customer service and resolve the issue quickly. Exterior quality is fabulous.

I have good experience working with Sales consultant, her name is "Kristen Fatt" and the Construction manager "Logan Coffey-Lumpkin", appreciate their work in building my home and its been 1 month I moved to dream home still I see the concerns like water leak from the windows and the issue has been escalated to Pulte customer service rep - Chase and I know he is looking in getting it resolved and I would request Pulte to take care of the issues getting them resolved. other observations in my home are like there is a skin/chip layer on the Vinyl floor panel is broken and Pulte is not responsible to have it fixed, also door knobs with locking is not put in the other 2 bedroom doors, along on the carpet I feel sharp nails are hurting while walking on the steps and in the living area, I have a small kid who is crawling and worried the safety of my kid because of it. ... My experience with buying the home was great. I am disappointed in the fact that I was told that everything on the punch list would be resolved before closing. It was not. After closing was told to go through the home warranty. During the move process, found more structural issues...part of the floor in the upstairs bedroom is missing but was carpeted over to conceal, snow blowing in through the walls. Overall, I'm very happy with the home.

Despite some early headaches in the build process, we are ultimately happy with our new home.

Experience was ok overall. Happy with the home. Would have been better if all issues were corrected before closing or shortly after as agreed upon. All issues were resolved up to 1 month after closing. Staff was polite and professional.

Pulte kept to the original timeline. That was important to ensure moving went smoothly. House plan and layout of house is good. It fit better than any other builder (for the price). Challenges were with finish-work and cleanliness. Throughout the project there was constant piles of trash both inside and outside the house. After drywall and flooring, there was mud tracked through, drywall clumps and dust EVERYWHERE, and the cleanup at various key stages was skipped. How do we know? All the trim work is embedded with dust that was painted over and occasional large drip marks dried in place. We had laminate throughout the house with slight overspray along all the walls on the floor. We pulled out the Oven and dishwasher to find clumps of drywall mud dried on the floor and dust that was never cleaned/swept. Terrible enforcement on simple "cleanup after your work" was enforced. Finish work was short as well. Finish carpentry had many gaps that needed re-caulked, poor touchups, and doors with chipped paint and scratches. What was the most painful was the flooring. We had hundreds of rubber hammer marks all over. These were pointed out with each inspection with the supervisor saying it would get resolved. On closing day, they were still there and the excuse was they simply wipe up. Turns out they did not. We had to use mineral spirits to scrub each mark and then rinse with water. We spent DAYS cleaning the floor and still find places. Ridiculous! The only feedback when conveyed again to the supervisor was that “those marks will disappear over time.” Overall, the house is built well and has a great feel, but fell short when it came to delivery at the end. When you spend three weeks cleaning a new house, it does not feel you got your money's worth. The bright point is our Sales person (Obie). She helped identify all the options we had to choose from and was good at finding answers. For example, we needed laminate everywhere and no carpet. She made it happen! We had several additions for lights added and other changes. She ensured all were identified and worked into the build. In closing, we would recommend and build with Pulte again, but be more hands-on with the supervision of the build. That was the part that was lacking. Pulte has the “commodity building experience” down pretty. They don’t stand out in quality but you can trust them to get the job done within the estimated timeline/cost. The communication was average as is the build quality. If you don’t expect too much, you will be happy with the results

we have only been in the home for 7 weeks but the experience has been very good except we would like to get more landscaping done before it gets too hot.

Would have been a higher review, however our salesperson was difficult to contact and was not competent in the homes he was selling. Flooring in our home began coming up within days of move in.

Overall good. Attention to detail lacking. Urgency to get it handle needs improvement.

This is our second pulse home. The quality of the end product is significantly less the second time around. Examples. There are fifty pieces of tape locating blemishes in the paint. There is one tile in the master bath with a different color of grout. The attention to detail just isn’t there.

Overall, we love our new home. We were sold on the floorplan almost as soon as we walked into the home the very first time - we definitely feel like Pulte has listened to people and designed a home that truly works for families. Our Project Manager Ian was fantastic to work with - he kept us updated about the project and how we were progressing. He took care of the concerns we had and did everything in his power to ensure issues were resolved in a timely manner. Unfortunately, the cast of sub-contractors left something to be desired at times. We did not feel like some of the crews respected this space as our new home. There were multiple messes made throughout the project, with trash and food scraps left in the home at the onset of the project all the way through a drywall mess dropped all over our newly installed gas cook top. It was disappointing that the men that call themselves tradesmen and craftsmen were willing to leave their work in such poor conditions. We would have greatly appreciated just a little bit of care and respect from these crews. To be clear, there were some trades that were very respectful of our home and took the proper measures to show their respect. We understand that at times there is little that can be done to correct the actions of these contractors, but their actions do reflect poorly on the overall building experience, in our opinion. At the end of the day, we would recommend Pulte to our friends and family members if they were considering them as a builder. I believe the people that work for Pulte truly cared about us and our experience and did everything they could to help us enjoy this experience. ... More
