The sales process went well; however, there should be better explanation of options and what exactly each option includes (or doesn't). The model home included some features that were not marked as options but were not included in my home's plan. For example, I purchased the optional spindles for the stairway, only to find out later, than only half the stairs would have spindles, although the complete stairway in the model had them. The home itself is beautiful, and I am satisfied with my purchase. However, follow-up deteriorated rapidly after closing. I understand there are labor and supply issues, but two months after closing some move-in punch list items remain unaddressed. And now I'm being told some things that were wrong at move-in now are "not warranted." For example, the landscapers planted a dead bush, which now is my problem. There are chips in the driveway that are "not warranted." I have not received the correct stove and a damaged microwave hasn't been replaced. I know there are appliance shortages, but I have received no information at all re an eta on these items. I think Pulte's outstanding reputation is slipping, probably due to some factors beyond their control. Don't get me wrong, overall the home is great and most workmanship is excellent. Homes layout is a hilltop which has a nice layout, however the quality of the home is poor, paint had many issues, drywall texture was cracking was supposed to be fixed before closing and only some of it was fixed. Sewer smell coming from all the sinks.

There are always issues after closing. Most are minor, but there isn’t great customer service or responsiveness after closing by construction manager. We are an afterthought. There should be a person on the construction side to make customers requests feel important post closing for all issues, especially the non warranty issues. Dropping the ball here is what dropped the score.

Pulte in Indiana builds some nice homes and we had a good experience with sales and Mortgage folks. Due to the skyrocketing home prices and Pulte trying to sell as much as humanly possible to get money, their workmanship went down quite a bit. Along with high turnover rates in their own employees on the construction side, it’s becoming a bit of a nightmare. If your planning to buy a pulte home, I would still recommend but understand you need a high level of due diligence and its best to get all their work double checked by outside parties.

House was rushed and lots of mistakes just ignored because they use different contractors. I still have tape on my walls and cabinets that was suppose to be taken care of before moving in. I keep finding issues daily since moving in a month ago. They are going to need to redo my downstairs flooring it’s that bad! The people you work with are super nice but they are overworked and can’t provide the customer service and project management required!

We purchased a build that already had its custom features selected by someone who was going to purchase but chose not to. There were a lot of things that were told to us about the home that turned out not to be exactly correct. Which we did not learn until after we moved in. The materials used inside the home are not top of the line as we were told. The cabinetry is mass produced and cheaply made. The LVP flooring that was raved about is Shaws cheaper LVP that scratches and scuffs very easily. The service was subpar as well the items that were suppose to be completed before closing were not and 2 months have passed and still we are waiting. We closed within a few weeks to help Pulte Homes meet a deadline to get house sold before new year, but we do not feel we have been taken care of. The home is not wired as a smart home it can be but was not and the vender we were given as a contact did not want to help us AT ALL with any upgrades or even share what had been done in the home! Visit the home as much as possible and stay on top of the Forman on how thing are going

1st week after closing the master bath floor started leaking. A big puddle in the kitchen from ceiling . I am not sure what kind of quality check happens before handing over the House.

The floor plans and value of the home is great, however, I feel like we weren’t updated throughout the home building process and kept in the loop regarding any delays/issues.

Without these 2 men, the experience would continue to be a mess. Pulte is not a trustworthy company to be honest and you have to be on top of them at all times. These 2 men who are our construction team have been the buffer and the silver lining to the rest of what has happened. We were not given a pre foundation meeting we should have had due to yet another firing of a construction manager which seems to be rampant (our neighbor had 4!!) and without that meeting we had NO idea our home was going to A) be on a ski slope and B) be set so far back we lose have our yard. NONE of this was explained during that crucial meeting we were not given. Yet the Vice President of construction (we think that’s his title) who came out here literally was condescending and a real jerk to us when we were so upset about this. He just kept giving us the company line. The city of Westfield is also another story. They gave us a song and dance how they were “concerned” about our happiness and then talked out of 2 sides of their mouth when it really came down to it. We had heard prior the city was not “pro-homeowner” but this sealed the deal. Not the welcome we expected to a new city either. The house itself is too new to know what will and won’t happen. So far we have had some minor issues that the two men i mentioned have gone above and beyond to make sure they’re done right. But as far as Pulte itself? We’ve experienced both a production builder and a custom in the past we would not go this route again. Barely any choices except for shades gray or white on everything with one choice for cream or a weird unfinished brown. No choice on exterior doors or windows. No changes. Not any. So it’s not the dream home for the price we paid but things we can change. The Lot we cannot. If we recommended building to someone, it would not be this type of building as they have become too rote and rigid as “production” builders. But the attitude of what we believe was the VP if construction towards us has completely soured us during a brief meeting and his attitude towards us after. Could not recommend Pulte solely based on the experience of his take it or leave behavior. I’ve been in customer service for 27 years and I pay close attention to how I’m treated. These 2 men gave the BEST customer service and continue to. Pulte should be fully aware how amazing they are to their clients and their attention to detail. As a retired realtor, I found my experience to be quite stressful. The fact that we have been living in our new home for six weeks and we are still scheduling service calls to complete tasks that should have been completed correctly from the beginning is somewhat unacceptable. Had it not been for Austin, our construction manager, I would have totally lost it.

Post move in issues not resolved in a timely manner ( it’s been 7 weeks). Promises of services for specific day have been no shows on numerous occasions. It would be nice to have our home finished so we boyish complete our move in. Hint - don’t close until everything is complete!

We like the location and the space of homes on lots. We were disappointed with lack of flexibility to change material. For example, we wanted the room off the kitchen (that was suggested for an office) to be a butler’s pantry. Pulte would not do this. We asked to leave the room so that we could make it what we want. Their response was no. Therefore, we have paid more money to have cabinets made and we are going to dispose of the cabinet and countertops that was installed. What a sinful waste of money and resources. There was only one option for the roof and limited (very similar to every other house in the neighborhood) color palette choices. The sales people were very pushy, and it you would see costs creep up unless you look at everything in detail. They try to push the other Pulte services on you. The house however is good quality, but some of the things seem old style.

The rep we dealt with was amazing prior to closing. After closing, during our 30 day period, where we had multiple issues, it was the opposite experience. The lack of support was unbelievable and we've never experienced anything like this with prior home builds. We have multiple issues still waiting o be resolved 45 days after closing. Just know after closing is not what you'd expect from Pulte. Three of us who just moved in all have experienced the same issues.

Multiple options to upgrade ( but with a steep cost off course), allows to build and add on your choices. The sales team was very helpful in choices and explanations. The construction side of folks, take their time to respond. The closing got messy as the corporate and the construction team were not on the same page and had to delay closing by four weeks. We are still working on clearing some last minute kinks, but overall the follow up team is responding well. Overall a good experience. I will choose them if I am interested in a lot of personalization to my build.

Our construction manager was AMAZING. Our house is wonderful, which is a real testament to the subcontractors. Our sales person was pretty awful, her manager was a joke. Neither of them delivered on the expectations that they set. We went under contract at the right time, prices are outlandish now. I suppose that’s more of a condition of the over all housing market though.

Many issues and no one taking the heat for them. Still have items that are not finished and I moved in two months ago. I understand the crazy times, but too many errors were made.

Overall, our experience with Pulte was decent-to-good. The home and feature selection process was easy and informational. We did have delays in supplies (prolonged closing by 4+ months), which was frustrating, but the communication was frequent and transparent throughout the delays. We would have appreciated some sort of concession in price/compensation, but that was never offered. Our construction liaison also transitioned halfway through the project, which provided some anxiety, but our new liaison did a great job picking up where the old one left off. During our final walk-through, we were able to point out a lot of the inefficiencies with the house, which got fixed for the most part, but there are still some issues. Our kitchen cabinets are slightly slanted and some of the bathroom counter drawers don’t remain shut. Also, some of the wood around the counter space is damaged, which is frustrating for a brand new house. Finally, our bathroom mirrors, closet shelving and toilet paper holders were delayed by about 3 months. ... More

The home appears to be built well. There were several small issues to do with general clean up and plumbing. The appliance supplier is horrible and had we payed closer to the contract I would have had second thoughts. We have been here for almost 2 months now and all is fixed except for the microwave.

We love the house, however, the quality of craftsmanship was not what we expected. They were prompt to address the many issues that were noted during the build process.
