Lack of communication

We were so excited to build with Pulte, as we had heard great things. Most of what we heard was not our experience. Working with Charity in the sales office was the highlight of the experience. She was super communicative, friendly and went above & beyond for us. After purchasing our lot and selecting our finishes, it was downhill from there. The construction managers would rarely communicate, and even when we reached out would it respond to emails. They didn’t follow through on things they said they would do. We have been in our home for over a month now, and are still waiting on things to ...

Bad service and very poor work man ship

It’s been very bad experience, in terms of communication and response. And new house has so many problems ,Including faulty equipment and it’s hard to get hold of people to get issues fixed. And closing has been delayed for months . And after waiting for Months and overpaying interests we still have to face issues like low water pressure and dishwasher, oven not working , electrical issues which cause inconvenience consistently in every day life.

Pulte Homes - I would not recommend pandemic building to anyone.
- Henry M.

- Westfield, IN
I would not recommend pandemic building to anyone. While continually being told that COVID was the reason for various issues we experienced, it is not responsible for everything. The finish quality of house is sub-par at best. Sales person was happy to collect his money and move on with no regard for helping address issues. Original project manager no longer with company which is a good thing given the quality of work he let slide. The only bright side at the moment is the new project manager actually seems to care and is looking to actually have the house finished 2 months after we closed.

Bad Experience after Pre-Drywall Meeting
- Robert K.

We chose to build with Pulte because we had friends with a good experience and had never heard anything bad. However, based on this experience I can not recommend them. The process was very smooth up until we got to our pre-drywall meeting. Then things took a turn towards awful. Based on the recent reviews in my area that seems to be common. There is a huge issue with communication from the field manager here. It would take 2 or 3 messages to get a response. That "weekly" update email will come once a month. Make sure to visit your homesite very frequently. It is not clear at all that ...

I do not recommend Pulte Homes.! After signing purchase agreement things go down hill fast. Our realtor said he could not believe the poor level of customer care we received from a once reputable builder. We had a stressful, frustrating experience trying to fulfill a life long dream that has gone on for 14 months and is still not complete.

Pulte Homes - We like many others building in this climate has been very challenging.

We like many others building in this climate has been very challenging. We feel we have been very patient and like to consider ourselves as team players. Having said that there has been no reward or recognition in doing so. We feel we have been pushed into being THOSE clients which is very uncomfortable for us. We closed on our home with unresolved items left to be finished. We did this on the word of our field manager Erin Smith/Jake McDole and their construction supervisor Zacree Sheese that all items would be addressed in a reasonable time frame. Now we are left in a home with ...

Pulte Homes - I feel builder is compromising on so many factors like quality,

I feel builder is compromising on so many factors like quality, materials, workers, no prior inspection of work being done by contractors, outdated options to buyers , no follow ups on pending works even after buyer multiple follow ups , too many problems within a month after moving, I felt like I would never go with pulte.

Poor build experience
- Korbin D.

Overall pretty disappointing build experience. Our sales consultant was great... he was very knowledgable and responsive to inquiries. Our field manager was briefly responsive but after slab was poured, we had very sparse communication. We didn't know where our house was in the build process and when questions/concerns arose, they went unanswered. Our punch list was incomplete or completed haphazardly. Quality is poor from poor paint job, obvious dinged trim/carpentry work, cracked backsplash and shower tile, VERY roughly mud & taped garage.

There are dozens of fit, finish and trim issues. We have been so patient and understanding with our reps, its not their fault, and I am sure they are overwhelmed. But for a $600k house, the workmanship is really terrible. Nothing big (so far) but paint, trim, etc. Oh, and the installers drilled through a main waste line putting in shelves. And the site wasnt cleaned up before closing, or since

Zero Communication

This is probably the worst company I have ever worked with. They don't seem to communicate across the multiple divisions within the company at all. We had to beg and call repeatedly to get updates and then had our closing date moved out 2 weeks 3 days prior to closing. The quality seems okay, but we found leaks prior to closing and they left us a present of drywall frozen to our garage floor on closing day (why someone would pressure wash a garage on a 20 degree day is beyond me). What was supposed to be a great experience turned quickly into a stressful nightmare. We were hours away from ...

Lack of communication during building process

My house is a nice home, and some issues are being resolved. But they make more work for themselves by not addressing issues brought to their attention prior to completing a job. Ie. site manager told no insulation was in garage prior to drywall installed. Still put drywall up without insulation. Had to them blow in insulation which I feel is not as good of insulation as well as making so many holes in drywall that now finishing my garage walls will cost me more money. This is only one example. It’s issues like this that are dragging Pulte’s quality and satisfaction down. Communication during ...

If you start this process with low expectations, it's not bad. Do not have high hopes in these areas: Excellent communication Pride in craftsmanship Timeliness Customer service is hit/miss Ability to get materials in stock (not Pulte's fault, that's a supply chain issue) Ability to hire quality framers (that is Pulte's fault) Workers paying attention to detail Feeling like you, as the customer, are important. I would also recommend that during the building process, you make site visits frequently. There were many mistakes made and if you aren't there to catch it, it can be covered up by the ...

The model home is lovely and once you're in you are in. What you actually end up with as a finished product is a generally nice home, but for the money you pay, the lack of quality control and the level of workmanship is appalling. Doors that don't close, incorrectly installed kitchen appliances, cheap broken trim of kitchen units sold as 'premium'. The marketing around warranty care and receiving support is professional, but the experience in reality is anything but. Since taking ownership I've logged 12 service requests and still counting, 100 days on and only one has been addressed. The ...

Our construction manager was AMAZING. Our house is wonderful, which is a real testament to the subcontractors. Our sales person was pretty awful, her manager was a joke. Neither of them delivered on the expectations that they set. We went under contract at the right time, prices are outlandish now. I suppose that’s more of a condition of the over all housing market though.
