The beginning of the process was excellent! But, as soon as we signed the contract things started going downhill. Our sales consultant didn't provide clear information and openly lied about some of the house's features. The construction process was a mess, mainly during the time Pulte switched field managers. The were so many misunderstandings and a lack of communication with the construction team over the transition period. 14 months to build this house

Signed to build this house in February of 2021. Supposed to be complete in August, 2021. At least a half a dozen delays, 3 Construction Managers turned over. I'd find out at the last minute about delays requiring me and my wife to find another place to live after selling our home. Most of my construction close updates came from Pulte Mortgage. Each department pointed at the other as the arbiter of the decision. CMs were just about silent through the whole process - communicating nothing. Andrew being the one exception. Overpriced for quality of build

For the price we paid for our home, I would have expected better quality workmanship. We have needed to have several things corrected that resulted from shoddy work, such as crooked mirror, installation of damaged window casing, replacement of damaged or defective cabinet doors. The cabinets are not great quality, and we paid a premium for the convenience package. The touch up paint the painters used (and what was left for us) does not match exactly, so it stands out. It takes forever to get hot water to most of the house, so plumbing design is an issue. HVAC design is poor as well. The floor ...

My frustration with the lack of communication and follow-through

During the build process, the field manager did not communicate with me; and when I called or emailed; he didn't promptly get back to me; if at all. Since closing, he hasn't followed up promptly when I reach out. And the list of items that still need to be done/corrected, hasn't been addressed. It is beyond ridiculous

Pulte needs huge improvements and actions

Pulte’s poor communication and commitment disappoints us so much. They really need complete responsibilities and accountability to listen carefully and timely communicate. Most importantly they have to take action but not simply disregard or inaction. Very disappointed and unpleasant experience.

The attention to detail or lack there of really was disappointing. Lots of bumps in the road and still finding the little things that were sloppy in the craftsmanship. You can tell that everything was done with speed not care. Don’t even get me started with the sales representative.

Closed on home in March. Yard has still not been installed - issue is not due to COVID-19. This is a shame as we would not have poorly rated this experience prior to closing. We have been understanding about a window needing to be replaced and workers not being allowed in homes during the pandemic. However, yards are being installed consistently around the neighborhood as we watch and wait for the past 2 months.

Was sold on quality- but got the opposite.

Pulte talks a lot about quality but the contractors they use for fit and finish are terrible. We closed on our house and there are still a lot of issues that Pulte has yet to fix. From missing siding, to poor caulking, uneven drywall, scratched appliances- you name it. I am confident that our framework was done correctly but from a fit and finish standpoint Pulte misses every mark.

We are not happy with the quality of the house built by Pulte. Our previous home was also a Pulte home and was in a great condition after more than 10 years. We are disappointed to see that the quality has gone down with the new house even though it is a more expensive home. There were many errors in the building process that we caught and had to bring to the field manager's attention. There were still many issues that need to be addressed after the closing.

Process of buying not transparent

The sales agent at Greystone doesn't do business with integrity. She manipulated numbers in a deceiving manner. If one doesn't look at the numbers closely during the contracting, chances of you being mislead is very high. The mortgage interest rates also was not honored until I say I have to withdraw. Not responsive to calls sometimes and the mortgage department (Noah the loan officer) will respond to calls only when he wants to. To sum up, the experience could be better and more transparent to buyers.

Not so great experience

All kinds of surprises during closing. The builder isn’t professional enough. Different people employed by the builder have different versions of the same fact and nobody is willing to take the responsibility for the problem. The construction side was great but the sales and title side were not great.

One of the most frustrating experiences of my life building with this company. Inconsistent oversight of subcontractors. Lack of transparency with issues. Poor communication during the build process. If you build with this company I would never come to the construction site. Watching "how the sausage is made" will do nothing but aggravate you. Make sure to hire a private inspector before closing.

Not the experience I paid for

Had our construction manager quit 2 weeks before our house was supposed to close and realized he hadn’t cared for weeks. Had so many things wrong at our walk through. Pushed closing back a few days. Still have multiple thongs on the outside wrong. Dishwasher has never worked, still waiting in parts. Water heater was broke from the electrical people turning it on without water. Still waiting for cabinets to be fixed for the 2nd time.

Breaking Dry wall for brand new month Old house

Poor workmanship on half million $+ homes

We have been SHOCKED at the poor workmanship on our almost $600k home! We were cornered into signing off on celebration day that the house was satisfactorily completed. It was not but we were told it would be. Lies! Every contractor we’ve brought in since we closed in May has commented on the shotty work or the short cuts taken or the lack of attention to detail that they are seeing in our brand new home. It’s a sickening feeling to hear this over and over about what was supposed to be our dream home.

Delay and Disappointment!

I do not recommend Pulte Homes.! After signing purchase agreement things go down hill fast. Our realtor said he could not believe the poor level of customer care we received from a once reputable builder. We had a stressful, frustrating experience trying to fulfill a life long dream that has gone on for 14 months and is still not complete.

Awful customer service and a whole bunch of issues with the sales team and construction quality control

We had many issues throughout the build process, most were due to the incompetence of the sales rep. On several occasions we were told we were getting one product by the sales rep only to find out too late in the build process that those items that heavily swayed our decision to purchase, either 1. Weren't available, or 2. Were only available if we chose a different option or 3. We were mislead on what we were getting. I could go on and on but there's not enough space. Pros: Good floor plan (Alison), Very Nice and competent building manager ( Ryan) Cons: Inflexible and contract focused interactions with sales. ( If you have to ask for something that is not spelled out in the contract, don’t bother, the answer is NO). Excessive (in my opinion) “Earnest Money”.... more than $50K (10%) in our case. Once you have paid that much, you are locked in and not much room for flexibility/requests after that. Compared to our old Carmel subdivision, no pool, clubhouse. There is no customer service. Sales were unresponsive and Barret was unresponsive. We ended up with them cutting into slab when we requested it not be done. We didn’t get the gas outlet in laundry room that was initially requested.
