Pulte has left me with empty promises. It is now been 40 days since I closed on my home and I still have blue tape in my house, crack in my bathtub, scratches on hardwood, kitchen cabinets not complete. I warn you to not close until the home is to your satisfaction.

Cannot do things correctly the first time.

Just about everything in this home was never done correctly the first time. Not to mention I’ve been in my home two months and warranty repairs need to be done. Also, it’s mind boggling that they don’t have a sense of quality control to ensure things are done correctly the first time or in a timely manner. Excuse after excuse has left me in an incomplete home for two months and warranty repairs for leaks and tnings falling apart!

Incomplete House and Lack to no communication

Second house with Pulte. Totally different experience this time. We knew there would be delays due to worker shortage and supplies. Our house did get delayed and we were ok with with. There is a total lack of communication on everything. We closed with our house not being complete. We have a work order to finish the house. It has been 8 weeks and we have had a couple things done. But now Pulte has stopped with completing our house.

Would not build with Pulte again. Many of the subcontractors did poor quality work and much of it had to be done redone several times. Significant issues remain 30 days after closing.

Rushed my project to meet my closing date, resulting in poor quality of work.

Never again should you let your house close before the builder has completed each and everything without anything pending. Even something as little as putting a nail in the wall. Because once your home is closed, forget about getting those items done. The project manager will not respond to any emails or calls. My yard was graded and seeded with lawn but had significant amount of concrete rocks and stones. In fact there were more rocks then mud. 10% of non-refundable earnest money required. Had to complain numerous times during the building process on many issues to get it fixed. Kept asking good feedback on the survey both construction and mortgage process. The construction manager stopped responding right after the survey was completed even though there are some items that still need to be fixed. I am not going to recommend Pulte homes to my friends.

Lack of Honesty, transparency and professionalism

I decided to sign an agreement with Pulte Homes to buy my new home after inspecting the home. I was fascinated by the offer of covering the closing cost which was said by the Sales consultant and I was informed i would only be paying the 5% down payment which was $19700. This was an exciting offer. The mortgage application came through and I was informed by pulte mortgage that I would be paying the closing cost which runs $5000+. Two house with Pulte BUT NEVER AGAIN!!!

Pulte needs to control their vendors quality! Painters did poor job! Used very thin layers of paint and we can see the blue mark up to be painted again. Electrical vendor damage our upgrade trim but decided to caulk the trim instead of replacing it. Carpenter didn’t smooth out the trim and used the rough side as the face. Electrical vendor will cancel your warranty for simply switching out the switch unless your goes through them for a “small fee”. I will never build with Pulte again.

To save you some reading; there was little to no communication throughout the process regarding delays, issues, or any other problem that may have held up the closing. The favorite phrase across the board is, "not my job," which still rings true with completing items on our "weather letter" 6 weeks later. In short, Pulte took what SHOULD have been an amazing event in our lives and genuinely ruined the experience, taking all joy out of moving in. We will NEVER recommend Pulte to ANYONE, even people we don't like.

I found building with Pulte extremely awful and upsetting. Pulte did not care about customer satisfaction. They FORCED me to close mid December without installing most of my kitchen appliances because they wanted the closing to show on 2021 books. They made me feel like just a number and really no customer satisfaction considered. As of February 1, I am still waiting for them to complete many items that were due to be done before closing. Poor communication and lack of transparency

From the sales team, field manager, to mortgage, the whole experience was bad. Through the long and delayed process, we had 2 sales people, 3 field managers, and 2 loan officers. Communication within the pulte team is non-existent and communication with the customer is equally as bad. Utility location is inefficient and materials used to build are cheap. I do not recommend Pulte

Terrible service, slow response, missing details, non existent project manager for most of build

This was a horrific experience. It took over a month after closing to get a dishwasher. We still do not have the correct refrigerator. Sales person Kurt was great! Last of 4 project managers tried to play recovery from the failure of the 3 previous non-existent ones. Banking and finance through Pulte move at a snails pace. Insurance was a rip off through Pulte and wasn’t enough to cover the house. This still has to be changed! It was a nightmare. I can’t rate less than 1 star without ignoring the email.

Pulte's response to issues that have come up since we moved in has been extremely disappointing. They do not follow up with you. The warranty department doesn't respond in a timely manner. I have water running into our home every time it rains. This has gone on for 3 weeks. No one has come out to repair it. Construction bins constantly have trash and garbage spilling onto the ground. This is vey unprofessional. I've told our friends we have made a mistake building with Pulte. They do not keep their promises after the closing. Terrible, construction was delayed and Pulte won’t confirm due date to protect themselves. Still no repair on the defects that was pointed out during the walk through inspection. Overall, the delay that Pulte caused has caused my interest rate to go up.

We went with Pulte because my parents had built with them years ago and had a phenomenal experience and we believe that the quality compared to other builders was better. Highly priced for a low quality home

My bathroom clogged within 2 days of move in. When I requested for checking that, I was informed that it was clogged due to use of toilet paper. My concern if you cannot use toilet paper in toilet what else can I use. Builder doesn’t show any responsibility in fixing the issues at all. Overly priced home. Builder charge differently for upgrades for each model making low end homes come out be expensive than it is worth. BEWARE of Pulte

The sales office will mislead you. For example, I paid for pull out drawers in the lower kitchen cabinets. There are 3 cabinets. They only will put drawers in 2 of them - When I asked they said - Oh, that is the way we do it. We don't put them in the third one. I paid for soft closing cabinet doors. They didn't tell me that it was only SOME cabinets, not all. They painted the inside the wrong color and then wanted to repaint the entire inside after I moved in.
