The sales office will mislead you. For example, I paid for pull out drawers in the lower kitchen cabinets. There are 3 cabinets. They only will put drawers in 2 of them - When I asked they said - Oh, that is the way we do it. We don't put them in the third one. I paid for soft closing cabinet doors. They didn't tell me that it was only SOME cabinets, not all. They painted the inside the wrong color and then wanted to repaint the entire inside after I moved in. Materials are cheap. the kitchen cabinets have gaps and drawers often come off the rails. The bathtub is a bad design. ...

While the salesperson (David) and Erin (Project Manager) were both terrific, the overall experience in building a Pulte home was anything but. They are the definition of a tract builder that slaps up the houses in record time...workmanship is atrocious. But, the fact that we were told just a few days before closing that our home did not appraise is sickening. We didn't even do many upgrades (like countertops, flooring, fixtures) because the Pulte offerings were so outdated...can't even imagine how much more under the appraised value the home would have been with these items added to the ...

I am extremely disappointed with Pulte Homes. I have see a lot of homes they have built in Carmel in the 90’s, and That’s the reason I choose them. We signed contract in July 2021 with expected closing date in April 2022. We finally closed at end of September 2022 with house not completely finished. Still waiting for some items to be finished. Had leak in ceiling still not repaired.

They are backed up and were still building the home and had not even finished many areas when we closed. Bad Experience after Pre-Drywall Meeting

We chose to build with Pulte because we had friends with a good experience and had never heard anything bad. However, based on this experience I can not recommend them. The process was very smooth up until we got to our pre-drywall meeting. Then things took a turn towards awful. Based on the recent reviews in my area that seems to be common. Pulte does not seem to care about their customers once the contract is signed and they REALLY don’t seem to care after the sale of the home is complete. I understand that there have been unforseeable delays due to shipping issues and labor shortages. This was a very disappointed experience and unfortunately with all my 5 sales/purchase with Pulte. Quality, attention to details, customer service & delivery. It is my opinion that they are more focused on quantity over quality. The b/s they tell you up front about working with you on your build and they are focused on quality and craftsmanship and will work with you is just that b/s! Once you move in the service department is not quick to get your house fixed in a timely manor. I had a poor build and service experience as most of my neighbors had.

Zero stars. 1) My wife's foot was injured due to Pulte's poor workmanship and intentional neglect of a known safety hazard. They still deny it now. 2) They laid down straw and seed despite knowing that temperatures would drop below 32F, completely ignoring common sense. 3) There is water leakage and a strange cracking sound behind the wall, which Pulte insists is normal. 4) I have tons of other issues I could go on and on about.

Home Buying Experience

The worst build process I’ve ever been through in my life. Too many issues to type but all it takes is one look through my history. Since I’ve been in the home (2 months), I’ve already had a ceiling leak in my master bath, electrical problems (outlets not working in all bathrooms, window still not fixed that was on closing detail, landscaping not completed. I would not and will not recommend Pulte, not even to my worst enemy.

This is our second home but our first ever built and the whole process was stressful to say the least. I was disappointed at the quality that the house was delivered. The quality of workmanship and materials are embarrassing and doesn't worth the money we pay for the house. We came upon several issues while we did our preclosing check up and our concerns were heard until we had to involve more people. The house would have been delivered better if Pulte homes didn't push to finish the house sooner than it was supposed to. I doubt we will go with Pulte homes for our next house. NEVER AGAIN!

We have been disappointed with the home buying process and workmanship in our home. We were hoping to be excited to take possession and that did not happen. Many times our concerns were dismissed. No urgency to get things corrected. For example, our doors on the lower level will not close, at all. The carpet in one area does not meet the baseboard which leaves a gap.
