Great staff and amazing home

Leaky pipe after we moved in, on call person never called back

Jodee was extremely helpful, knowledgeable, personable and motivated when we began looking for our new home. Jodee made the process easy and made us fall in love with the towns at Appaloosa. Scott (construction supervisor) was extremely helpful, conscientious and prompt in returning texts/calls to remedy any little minor issue we had during inspections and after closing on our home. Great service for new home buyers!

Sydney did a great job as our construction contact. She was very attentive and always made our priorities her priorities. Thanks Sydney for making the process much more enjoyable!

During the sales process, one of my biggest concerns was the train tracks behind the home that I eventually purchased. When I inquired about this, the lead sales rep and the other sales associates told me that it's a utility line and that trains seldomly passed by. They mentioned it was a few times per week and generally during the day. I've now spent close to two months in this house and the train passes by several times per day and blares its horn. It also happens frequently in the middle of the night, waking me up. I feel like I live in a permanent construction zone and have already grown to hate it. This is not the infrequency they had sold me on and I'm now regretting this home purchase, as I can't imagine living here long term with this constant noise from passing trains on a daily basis. Yes, this was ultimately my decision, but I trusted the information they provided that it wasn't as frequent as it actually is. They've been selling homes in this neighborhood for several years, yet they claim they've had no experience or reports of the train passing as frequently as it does, added to the fact that it often passes by between 3:30 and 5:00 AM. It's as if they want me to believe that this only started happening the moment I moved in. This is beyond disappointing and it's the biggest purchasing mistake I've ever made. Tabitha is a great resource to get things taken care of off the punch list

I was very pleased with the entire homebuying/building experience. Everyone I worked with, the sales rep, the construction manager, the mortgage officer, etc were pleasant and very responsive to any questions I had. Things were completed when promised and I was always given lots of information. The Pulte secured website made the entire mortgage process so easy. Homebuying can be stressful but this was a pretty stress-free experience!

All of the staff were very professional and were so willing to help the process move quickly.

Pulte's finishes are weak at best. Their finishing work is suspect and truly they use low-grade products and market them as high-end finishes. If you love the neighborhood and location, just get a bottom-end house from them and have a contractor come in and do the upgrades. You'll pay less and actually get some qualified contractors to do solid work.

We've found everyone at Pulte to be friendly, helpful and responsive. With the help of our sales rep, we found our dream home.

Beware - They will not give Ernest money back if you are not approved

My Builder Representative in the office was AMAZING. The experience was WONDERFUL. I was kept informed as much as possible, and I felt like the rep took great care in making sure I had a GREAT EXPERIENCE. On the other hand, the person who was supposed to keep me notified on the progress of my house and the periodic inspections did the worst job I've ever experienced. I was not informed about any of the steps. I was forced to call the office to determine what progress was occurring. Finally, the landscaping leaves something to be desired. My yard had deep footprints in it where someone had walked across it, rocks and wood underneath the straw and netting, and nothing but WEEDS, WEEDS, WEEDS. I was truly turned off. ... More

Without these 2 men, the experience would continue to be a mess. Pulte is not a trustworthy company to be honest and you have to be on top of them at all times. These 2 men who are our construction team have been the buffer and the silver lining to the rest of what has happened. We were not given a pre foundation meeting we should have had due to yet another firing of a construction manager which seems to be rampant (our neighbor had 4!!) and without that meeting we had NO idea our home was going to A) be on a ski slope and B) be set so far back we lose have our yard. NONE of this was explained during that crucial meeting we were not given. Yet the Vice President of construction (we think that’s his title) who came out here literally was condescending and a real jerk to us when we were so upset about this. He just kept giving us the company line. The city of Westfield is also another story. They gave us a song and dance how they were “concerned” about our happiness and then talked out of 2 sides of their mouth when it really came down to it. We had heard prior the city was not “pro-homeowner” but this sealed the deal. Not the welcome we expected to a new city either. The house itself is too new to know what will and won’t happen. So far we have had some minor issues that the two men i mentioned have gone above and beyond to make sure they’re done right. But as far as Pulte itself? We’ve experienced both a production builder and a custom in the past we would not go this route again. Barely any choices except for shades gray or white on everything with one choice for cream or a weird unfinished brown. No choice on exterior doors or windows. No changes. Not any. So it’s not the dream home for the price we paid but things we can change. The Lot we cannot. If we recommended building to someone, it would not be this type of building as they have become too rote and rigid as “production” builders. But the attitude of what we believe was the VP if construction towards us has completely soured us during a brief meeting and his attitude towards us after. Could not recommend Pulte solely based on the experience of his take it or leave behavior. I’ve been in customer service for 27 years and I pay close attention to how I’m treated. These 2 men gave the BEST customer service and continue to. Pulte should be fully aware how amazing they are to their clients and their attention to detail. All good, happy with the experience.

Our experience with Pulte had positives and negatives. We chose to build with Pulte because of the lot location and available floor plans, not because of a favorable Pulte reputation. We knew we were taking a chance, but hopeful Pulte would raise their standards with our more expensive home. This was our fifth house to have built with the last two being custom homes, so our expectations were high. On the good side: Our sales rep was very good. Knowledgeable and helpful. On the marginal side: The choices we had to pick from for interior selections were very limited. Especially for a house in our price range. We have made many changes already in our first two months of ownership with more to come. Also, we chose a new floor plan to Pulte, and it included unknown design flaws not corrected. before build. The bad; Quality of the subcontractor's workmanship, especially the drywall contractor, was very poor. Uneven walls, corners out of square, poor drywall finishing and painting, etc. Some flaws were able to be improved through rework before closing but others were not. Unfortunately, we will live with the results for years to come, or until we have it redone ourselves. It makes us sick to look at the final product in light the price we paid. Seems as if our neighbors had the same experience. If Pulte wants to improve their image as a production builder with higher end houses, there needs to be a mindset change to think and act more like a custom builder. Improve offerings. Raise expectations of contractors. Hold contractors accountable for their work. Keep work areas clean and safe. Have some pride!! I understand Pulte looks at the process as a business to complete a house as quickly as possible to take in the cash. However, if there was more ownership, accountability and pride towards the end product and therefore customer satisfaction, it would go a long way. ... More

After reported the issue as part of new home warranty, it took a long time to schedule the service. Hope Pulte Homes take care of customers even after purchasing a house.

We love our new home. Only minor issues and most are resolved. The post closing issues are being handled rather quickly. Biggest complaint was not being able to get minor changes. We wanted a couple extra outlets in cleaning closet and storage closet. Not happening! Wanted to hang our Dyson vacuum inside the cleaning closet out of the cold garage. That was mission impossible. I use the under stairs closet for my crafting supplies. Wanted a second light or an outlet for a lamp there (saw it in a model). Again mission impossible. But, overall we love our forever home.

It was a great experience with Pulte for our new Home. Throughout the process from sales, to construction, mortgage, and closing all the concerned people have provided me with great and complete information which was helpful in making decisions. All are experts in their respect areas from Pulte and helped me in whole of my buying , construction and mortgage and closing process.

Responsiveness to issues is very slow

Location and floor plan were the draw for our Pulte home purchase. After we put money down on the lot we heard throughout the design process they are a production builder. That is for sure. From limited design selections if you do not want gray to the half bath fan that never shuts off to a light switch placed in the middle of a wall forcing you to stretch to turn on, thoughtful living was not executed. Overall we can walk through our home which is expensive and see details that do not match the price we paid.

Our sales rep was wonderful! Our project manager was great. Everything else is average at best. Paid a premium but don't feel like we got what we paid for. Pulte also goes for the cheapest things possible to keep their profit margins high. Would not recommend as my #1 choice

Very poor on most points. Ryan our sales manager was fantastic. Other than that poor.

Pulte Mortgage was great to deal with, very professional and efficient. Everyone was so nice
