Pulte has beautiful floor plans that are well thought through to meet the practical needs of every customer. They also have nice exterior elevation options for each home model. As a first time home buyer, I did not do a good job of planning my structural options since it needs to be locked in within 24 hours, I would have appreciated some leniency from Pulte in that regard. This is my first house and I do like it overall. However, there are some annoying issues. The electricity of the jacuzzi somehow isn't done at all at closing. I found it out days later that the bathtub isn't working and the plumber came finding out that there's no electric outlet and the plug is just left dangling. And as the house closed the builder's no longer responsible for it and the warranty is taking forever. (House is closed 2 months before and it's still not resolved till now). We heard Pulte is a big company and we thought the process of the house construction will be customizable so that we can choose what we need, but the process we went through is different. Pulte has very strict rules in terms of alterations we can perform.m, that made us difficult to build the home we dreamed. Pulte has very strict rules in selecting the structural options, once we selected in the starting that we can’t change after couple of weeks. Overall, Pulte has to change according to the buyers taste.

Do not agree to sign without repairing, even if small fix. After signing , only way to fix them is with warranty service.

The home buying and the financing experience were good and relatively easy considering that we were buying from out of state . However it failed to deliver in terms of quality of workmanship including hardwood floors , cabinets and general finishing . The biggest issue for us is that even though home was advertised as 2 car garage- it doesnot fit our standard size suvs which is an ongoing concern for us . Also the resolution of the issues with workmanship is not to our satisfaction even though it is advertised as having one year home warranty.

Was basically told because of my circumstances, I don't get customer care post closing. Even though I had significant problems with the construction (water running into garage because grade issues just for one example). People were friendly, but just wouldn't help.

For the price, would have expected light fixtures vs. bare bulbs as an example. It's inexcusable to purchase a home that's 3/4 of a million dollars that isn't "turnkey." There are nice features, but alot of corners were cut. Most troubling though is a leak that we had that is now trying to be explained away. A room that had water leaking from upstairs through a light fixture was never determined to have a root cause. Morover, the room smells musty from water that I'm certain saturated the insulation. Build quality of the home is not very great. Option selection process is not very informative, sales executives not always know the correct details and mis-guide in making selections. Design appointments are a disaster with no proper lighting and time to make selections. We have to make all the selections in one meeting and we are rushed into making decisions. The process of buying a home directly from Pulte and their subsidiaries is siloed process that creates headaches for buyers and finger pointing amongst the Pulte group. The only bright spot in their operation was our construction manager Adam. We started off our process with Steve the salesman. He showed us the model and multiple properties which was pleasant. Rescheduled Date of Closing Costs

There was an issue with our date of closing and it had to be rescheduled because appliances were not installed before receiving a Certificate of Occupancy. Therefore, our hotel stay was extended, and the moving company charged us a storage fee and a re-delivery fee. This cost us an extra couple thousand dollars. We were not happy to say the least.

I have owned my Pulte home less than 45 days and was, overall, quite pleased with it. Then we had a moderate rainfall and my basement was flooded. Mike, our Customer Care representative, came out to bring fans and a dehumidifier, which were greatly appreciated. Mike took the cover off our sump pump, and discovered that the well had several large pieces of rock, brick, and wood, which had apparently blocked the pump and caused it to malfunction. Second Pulte home, wouldn't do it again

We built a Pulte home in 2007 and then just completed another recently(March, 2023) and the quality of work, project management, communication and value have dropped significantly. Pulte has put more focus on profits than the customer experience which is why we would not recommend buying a Pulte home in today's environment.

Pulte builds houses very quickly and brings in multiple contractors. Project management is a huge aspect of these constructions. When pointing out issues with various issues repeated requests needed to be made. Appears that the Pulte project team needs added support to address the home owners needs.

I felt end of year closing date drove the quickest and poor quality of work. The drywall tape and mud was horrible and the paint job was the worst. They had to redo painted areas which still was done poorly. Painted without removing electrical faceplates. Im also Still in the process of cleaning most faceplates and paint splatters on my floor. All my inside studs are 24 inch apart. This is a cheap way to build a home this expensive. Paid over a half million dollars for a home that looks like any other low end subdivision.

Painting vet poor job and kitchen cabinets need repair, closet door not hung correctly, missing shelf holders submitted tickets and no response. Also not seen street cleaner in a while and debris from high winds need cleaning and walkways need cleaning for resident need to use them
