The overall experience of building our home was exciting and good. However the amount of issues we’ve had to deal with during our walk through before closing and trying to get the issues fixed with in the house after closing has been challenging. We have several dry wall issues, had carpet issues, a cracked window (I haven’t gotten an answer about if that’s going to be repaired), stair railings etc. I’ve been in my house for around five weeks. I’ve been working on trying to get these issues addressed since our closing date.

Overall we had a great experience with Pulte! We love our new home.

The Deer Valley Floor Plan is Amazing!

When I talked to others in the neighborhood, all were given a much lower lot price. People with much bigger lots were charged significantly lesser lot price. I feel I was taken for a ride.

Nice location with an added architectural design gives a great value for your money. The representative at the site made me feel at ease and he did his best to get all questions answered.As a matter of fact every representative at all levels were extremely helpful. Pulte distinguishes itself with the family members that works for them. A great team work.

I would buy again

The quality of the Lumber, paint grade and paint workmanship is poor. The hard wood floor started chipping within few weeks of moving into the home.

Our sales and construction representatives were very responsive and friendly and the condo is overall nice but we have had several issues. They pushed/forced us to use Pulte mortgage even though we already had our own broker. We applied, but ended up using our broker as Pulte couldn't match. That pushed the process back 2-weeks waiting for Pulte's underwriting review. Also, had many delays in closing as the condo was not appraising. Had to wait for more units in the development to close so there were additional comps. In terms of build quality, I wish we would have requested an independent inspection before we moved in to prevent a few issues. The day we moved in the utility room flooded. We have a ranch with no basement so this shouldn't happen with a new build. It took several days for Pulte to respond to our service request so I ended up fixing it myself. Once the HVAC company came out they said the entire system was built incorrectly. The drain is actually the highest point on the floor so water has nowhere to go. This is a major issue and should have been caught by the builder during construction. Also, the refrigerator wouldn't stay on as outlet was GFCI and kept tripping. The kitchen fridge doesn't actually have to be GFCI and the fridge worked fine when using a standard outlet. The master bathroom is designed weird, no shelving in the shower for soap / shampoo and nowhere to hang towels near the shower which means you have to walk wet across the slippery floor. Also, the light switch near the toilet is in the back of the room which is annoying at night as you have to walk to the end of the dark room to turn on the light. It should be next to the door. Overall, I would still recommend as it is nice to have a new build and our initial representatives were easy to work with. Just be aware that "new" doesn't mean that everything was done correctly. I like the way we were kept informed about the progress made each week on the building of the house. I like that we weren’t lied to. If something was being delayed we were told and why it was delayed.

Every thing went good. I would recommend my friends to go with Pulte homes.

When you do your walk through make sure you pay attention to everything.

Pulte is one window place to purchase a home. They worked really hard and are genuine in providing a home. They are very caring and prompt in providing services.

Any issues found after closing are not considered important. You are not able to talk to a real person.

I did not get what was promised to me by pulte.

Overall the buying experience was not great. Right from the time of choosing the lot till the celebration walk there were lot of issues. The buyer is always treated with rude answers. First of all not enough time is given to decide on anything, no clear explanation is given about the land, floor plan and customization, being a first time buyer we struggled a lot by the way we were treated. Almost it felt like pulte has this attitude towards customers " take it or leave it " as there are lot of people waiting to buy. Design center appointment was a disaster, everything has to be decided right at that moment without even having a minute to think about it, no new home buyer will be able to decide things by looking at small pieces of sample available in such a short time. I was always open for suggestions and friendly approach but it was not what I experienced. Any customization you ask for is denied even though you are willing to pay for it. It never felt like the builder is building a house for me according to my convenience rather than customer has to adjust and accept with whatever builder provides. I really had high expectations to build a home with pulte but at the end highly disappointed. ... More

Overall, the experience was par for the course of new construction. The quality was not great in terms of workmanship and materials.

We bought our house during a pandemic but we felt safe going to visit the model and ultimately purchasing the home. Steve was a great sales person. He explained everything and kept us informed of the build process. I have to also acknowledge Wally the construction manager. He did our sight visit virtually and kept us informed of the construction process. He did a great job on getting our home completed in the time frame Pulte originally said they would. Wally and his team really did excellent work on the house.
