Pulte is one window place to purchase a home. They worked really hard and are genuine in providing a home. They are very caring and prompt in providing services.

Any issues found after closing are not considered important. You are not able to talk to a real person.

I did not get what was promised to me by pulte.

Overall the buying experience was not great. Right from the time of choosing the lot till the celebration walk there were lot of issues. The buyer is always treated with rude answers. First of all not enough time is given to decide on anything, no clear explanation is given about the land, floor plan and customization, being a first time buyer we struggled a lot by the way we were treated. Almost it felt like pulte has this attitude towards customers " take it or leave it " as there are lot of people waiting to buy. Design center appointment was a disaster, everything has to be decided right at that moment without even having a minute to think about it, no new home buyer will be able to decide things by looking at small pieces of sample available in such a short time. I was always open for suggestions and friendly approach but it was not what I experienced. Any customization you ask for is denied even though you are willing to pay for it. It never felt like the builder is building a house for me according to my convenience rather than customer has to adjust and accept with whatever builder provides. Overall, the experience was par for the course of new construction. The quality was not great in terms of workmanship and materials.

We bought our house during a pandemic but we felt safe going to visit the model and ultimately purchasing the home. Steve was a great sales person. He explained everything and kept us informed of the build process. I have to also acknowledge Wally the construction manager. He did our sight visit virtually and kept us informed of the construction process. He did a great job on getting our home completed in the time frame Pulte originally said they would. Wally and his team really did excellent work on the house.

Please buy your home from pulte great builder

It was frustrating and disheartening to watch, after we had moved in, several homes in the neighborhood be completed, with driveways installed, while we waited. It is apparent to us that Pulte only cared about getting us Closed; after that we were put to the back of line.

Been here nearly 3 months, thought our new house would be completed to our satisfaction, still waiting like many of our neighbors

The only negative of the experience with Pulte was Pulte Mortgage. As bad as the approval and communication was with them, they immediately sold the loan to LoanCare LLC, which as an atrocious reputation. Pulse Mortgage must have known this, including consumer class action lawsuits against LoanCare They sold our loan to them anyway. Awful.

quality wise there is lot to improvise for the price of the home or you can ask 10-15% more of the price so that customer gets quality product.

Overall I'll give you an honest review... We moved in mid March had several delays because of Windows... Said it was on back order by if you read through the emails/between the lines it was not the window company it was something else... Once moved in we noticed the following which was/is under the Pulte Warranty 1) Master Bath Shower Grout piece came out/off. Contacted our manager of our property/community scheduled for onsite repair. Guy came out didn't pay attention to the color and put the wrong color grout in... Made another call came out 1-2 weeks later removed the wrong grout color and placed it with the correct kind. 2) Back door frame was cracked - Contacted Property Manager scheduled a guy to come out. The guy arrived did not fill the crack but just put paint over it and didn't fix the full issue. Requested to have a totally different person come out put it on the schedule and there was a no show... Issue still not fixed. 3) Piece of siding fell off and blew away - Contacted Property Manager schedule a guy to come out.. This is still awaiting the day to be fixed no update on if this was fully fixed or not. 4) Cement for Driveway/Porch is UGLY - Contacted Property manager, stated that he will come out and take a look at it and see what is wrong. (What is wrong is I wouldn't walk across it unless your wearing shoes. The cement is very rough to the touch it's not brushed/smooth the overall appearance is just UGLY....) There's flaws like every new home, but I'd like to see the following with Pulte... Follow-up with the customer to make sure the issue is corrected, I shouldn't have to call/email/text to tell someone that there was a no show or incorrect grout or doing a horrible job... The house is very nice looking overall is it worth what we paid for.... That is left to be determined for the years to come, I cannot say yes or no because it's BRAND new. ... More

We recently purchased a home at the Bald Mountain community in Michigan. This is our second home that we were building so we had past experiences to compare. (1) The quality of workmanship has been horrible - architecturally and aesthetically. (2) The clarity on timelines was poorly managed - something that I had expected to be a well oiled machine given the quantity of homes that Pulte builds. (3) The quality of the home does not show for the amount that we paid.

The best thing about building with Pulte was working with Mike McGraw, Michael Zaski and Marissa Haley. Any time an issue would come up they would get it resolved fast. They always made themselves available to address any concerns we had with the building process. Because of that we would build again with Pulte. Both Mikes and Marissa knew what they were doing and they went above and beyond to make our home buying/building easier.

Pulte has beautiful floor plans that are well thought through to meet the practical needs of every customer. They also have nice exterior elevation options for each home model. As a first time home buyer, I did not do a good job of planning my structural options since it needs to be locked in within 24 hours, I would have appreciated some leniency from Pulte in that regard. However, nothing major to complain. When it came to getting a good deal, it totally depends on how interested you are in the first meet, some room for bargaining is definitely possible (especially on the lot premium). Pulte did have a good selection of interior material, the best part is they used quality products from reputed brands for every single item. Since they are extremely quick (considering they are a high volume production builder), the area they lack is quality of workmanship. As a customer, I had to follow up constantly to ensure the work was done the right way. I would appreciate more internal quality control from Pulte. Lastly, Pulte mortgage is extremely aggressive to gain your business. I was a bit disappointed with my experience with them at the time of rate lock, they simply would not give you the best deal unless you gave them a valid loan estimate from a competitor. I understand it is business, but I would have appreciated if the was process for more straightforward. Otherwise, Pulte mortgage was extremely efficient to help me close my house on time. ... More

Excellent service from the sales (Henry), closing (Amber) and service (Kirk). Overall, a very nicely planned community.

Clean and quiet it was worth the wait during the covid

We love the floorplan and design of our new home. Unfortunately, there has been one significant issue after another since our closing. The lack of response and attentiveness to major issues (flooding due to improper appliance installation requiring the replacement of our entire kitchen wood floors in the first week, electrical systems melting due to improper fireplace installation, front porch requiring complete demolition and re-pouring of concrete just to name a few) has left us shocked. Pendant lights showed up to be installed two months after closing, and they are pendants that we did not select and have never seen before. We are going on another month of trying to get the correct pendants installed with no progress or commitments from Pulte. Everyone we work with just points at each other to "investigate" issues but nothing ever gets done. Everyday we have a feeling of what next in our brand new home. In no way would I recommend Pulte homes to a family member or close friend looking to build a new home. ... More

My wife and I built our first home and had a wonderful experience. We unfortunately had to move due to a family member’s declining health. We then decided to build again and found an area we were interested in, which was being built by Pulte. Prior to signing the purchase agreement, we asked our sales representative about the community’s water source and property taxes. We were told the community was on city water, but failed to mention this “city water” was actually sourced from a well and was very hard water. They also failed to mention the additional $6,000 tax assessment that would be added to our property taxes. Once this information came to light, Pulte refused to take responsibility for the information and their only “solution” was to offer us a full refund *11 days* before closing. That being said, our project manager was outstanding and built my wife and I a beautiful home. Unfortunately, due to the business ethics of the sales side, I cannot recommend Pulte for building your home. The Pulte mortgage and Pulte insurance reps I worked with were pleasant and helpful. Overall we had a decent home buying experience with the sales side. We had an AMAZING experience with the builder, Wally. He went above and beyond responding to (and fixing when necessary) any questions or issues we had. Wally really made the whole experience for us and we are really grateful he was there to help every step of the way. He even sought us out AFTER we were moved in to give us additional information and fix a small problem we had mentioned off hand on the final check of the house.

Pulte's responses are really superb! Very prompt and attentive! And people are very kind!
