The field manager who helped in our building process was amazing. He ensured that everything was handled in a timely manner. We are very pleased with the house that we have purchased. the house is great and the neighborhood is welcoming. The responsiveness from our field manager Chadd has been outstanding.

My salesperson (Adam) was the best! He kept in touch through all phases of the home building process and genuinely cares about making sure I am 100% satisfied with my home. The quality of my home is very nice. After i moved in, I opted to paint the interior with the colors I wanted and it made a positive difference. I can honestly that I had very little stress in building my home. They delivered 100% with friendly attitudes.

There's no lock provided for master bathroom by design! That is unbelievable and never heard of with any good builders. In spite of asking about this with Pulte the answer has been only 'NO' which doesn't sound good.

Requirements from builder were met however, do not expect anything over and above what I ws absolutely necessary for builder to pass inspections. Less than expected finishing work. For example, the on the front porch were covered in cement although we were told they were already "cleaned up." Not a great welcome present to walk into. Outside trim paint was missing or "thin" in many areas. Ceiling vent in the guest bathroom was askew. The list goes on. Bad customer service. Bad finish’s on the house. Nothing lineup. And they promised to have an individual within the first month to take care of any issues and it’s has been a month an half and no response!!!! Be careful and check out all final touch’s especially your windows, (top and bottom not the exact measurement). Bad work over all.

Great Disappointment

I am a widow with two children I am raising on my own. In order to lower my stress level, I chose to buy a new home thinking that I would have no worries. Since moving in 6 weeks ago, the basement has been torn up and replumbed, the water heater leaked, the furnace/thermostat needed replacement, the oven is leaking gas, front door needs to be repainted and 50% of the laminate flooring was improperly installed and will be torn up. I have gotten an unsatisfactory response from Pulte management. It seems as though the speed to finish the homes has greatly affected the quality.

Disappointing end to my dream home build

It's obvious that Pulte rushed to complete with cracks appearing in less than a month in the basement in areas that are not engineered to crack. The magnitude of building building waste left on the garden is definitely a disappointment. Not providing a real solution for gutter drainage means that water washes top soil away, so adding in solutions to complete such a basic function as exterior water drainage to the nearby storm sewer is just a nuisance an what should be a basic water management add-in which would also reduce the risk of standing water around the basement. We were pleased with initial construction but concerns after closing have been difficult to get resolved. Has required multiple requests, multiple follow ups, multiple submissions of texts, emails & Pulte website service forms, promises to get back to us in two business days but receive no response.

Overall we like the lay out and lot of the house. Craftsmanship of drywall, paint and ceiling is poor. Responsiveness is poor after closing. Lots of promises but slow response, if any, with follow through.

Make sure to review the options list thoroughly at the beginning of signing the purchase agreement. You don’t have long to Add or delete options. Be aware you can’t make changes throughout the build process.

Pulte lacks craftsmanship when it comes to being a national builder, possibly due to outsourcing the various build jobs to cheaper unknown contrators without proper quality checks in place. To be more specific, the drywall and brick work was noticeably degraded and imprecise. Drywalls were crooked, lumpy and off by few inches around every wall, post, pillar, ceiling and window area. Bricks were misaligned and chipped all over. Pulte windows seem to be of the cheapest quality. Others areas of the construction were acceptable. All comes down to details. Trades hired are either going way too fast or don't care. If the sub-contracted companies bring their own installers, same thing. Either go too fast or don't care. Either way, the customer perception is the subcontractor work is poor. This has to be corrected for future builds. Items customer notice the most: Flooring, drywall, paint, trim, light fixtures. One solution would be to bring in a 3rd party audit before final walk-thru with customer. This would help ensure a smooth transition to the buyer.

My personal experience with Pulte homes have been good. There have been a few challenges midway but it eventually ended well. The house was delivered as committed. The overall quality is good but can definitly improve on some final finishing details. However the response from sales and field team was very prompt.

Virtually no communication after closing.

At our final walkthrough, we were told to watch for any issues that may need to be addressed within the first week after closing. We kept a list after moving in and reached out to the job site manager on day 6 to go over the needed repairs. He told us that he would have everything scheduled or repaired within 2 weeks. We have now been in our home for nearly 2 months and the only issue that has been partially addressed is the touch-ups on our cabinets. We still have nails on our roof, paint on our windows, cabinets that don't close properly, cracked hardwood floor boards, torn screens, etc. ...

4 1/2 months after closing I still do not have my irrigation system or yard installed. Horrible customer service full of threats, but they do not follow through on anything that they commit to. I used Pulte Title and they did not pay the insurance at closing, although they say the check must have been lost in the mail. I will never buy another Pulte home. STAY AWAY!!!

Newberry Model is Functional Home for Small Family

Pulte BPC/Mudroom is very functional and serves as a second office on the first floor. The doorways upstairs are narrow and the air return vents above the bedrooms do not allow for privacy. Expected better workmanship overall for the price.
