Made this process very easy for us and was great at communicating throughout the process.

Building progress was slow with a lot of stops and starts due to supply issues, labor shortages, etc. This was not the builder's fault. Overall workmanship of the contractors was fair to decent - I felt the workmanship and materials could have been better.

We love our house! The communication was great with the sales person Lamar. Building took 10 months from the time we bought in December to closing end of October. Construction manager was good. I wish we would’ve had more communication that sod was being laid vs not being told at all, although it was great to get it in (they needed someone home to get in garage for irrigation so would’ve been nice to have known). A little sloppy with painting, our floors were covered in splatter. We requested someone come clean it off and they didn’t get it all so I’ll need to request it again. I feel like they need a final walk through to make sure everything looks good for the client, ie cosmetic things like paint splatter, pen on floor, dust everywhere. Also didn’t have pressure in our main bathroom shower for a few days until someone came and checked it out. Apparently there was tape in there. This home buying process was a challenge for me. The Field Manager and Sales Rep. are two of the greatest people within this field. As a first time single home buyer, they both made me feel comfortable and answered my questions along the way also explaining the difference in some of the options I chose.

Communication during the building process has been a huge issue. When we pointed out poor workmanship throughout the process, we often got kickback or we felt we were a bother to the building supervisor. Our house is beautiful, but we constantly finding issues with poor workmanship and we get little or no response from building supervisor. After talking to neighbors that claimed to have the same issues we discovered we were often lied to (they fixed things at their house we were told nothing could be done vise versa)

This builder was very easy to work with. They did a great job addressing all of my concerns.

My husband and I are very pleased with our Pulte Home.

Would not do it over again given the chance and I think that's about sums up how I feel about the process and our new home with Pulte. We were made to feel bad when we brought up issues. We were treated as if we were wrong in many instances. Just terrible customer service for the money we paid.

This was my first experience building from ground up and during the start of the process I felt rushed or pushed into signing without going through all the features and options the house had. I now wish some of the features I should of picked. After living in the house for a month now, I am noticing some unfinished worked...unpainted walls, poor worksmanship cover ups, little things here and there. I do enjoy my house and don't know if I can every buy another house that has been pre-owned.

The space in the house especially Bedrooms are great. House model plans are great. Sales and customer service guys are great. The major issue I ran into was workmanship. I had lots of poorly finished Items in the house after I moved in. Which they ended up replacing one by one. Maybe the field manager should do better on that.

The materials used are cheap and the interior job overall is very sloppy. It hasn't been a full 2 months since moving in and there are already cracks everywhere around the windows and doors. The shower door also doesn't work and the tiles are cracking as well.

I still haven’t moved into the home because I’ve spent my days cleaning a mess that shouldn’t be there. I was told that the blue tape items that we put in during the celebration meeting would be taken care of by the morning of the closing. I came on the morning and Jeff told me that the painter couldn’t get to it yet and told me to go close and come back and that it would be. I gave him my garage code, came back the following day to most of it completed still some not and a dirty house which I had to sweep up and clean myself.

We felt really good when we signed, but once building was started the work was rushed and we felt like we were nagging when we pointed out issues. Now that we're in the house we keep finding things that annoy us. Such as the slightest finger touching a wall will leave a mark because they used very cheap, flat paint.

We love our layout and that was the main factor in deciding the home we built. A few things that we wish would have been communicated (steepness of driveway grade they said it was 9.3 but it is well over 13, Garage height we were told something different than the final build height, also felt like the house could have been better prepared for closing, final walk through did not give enough time for all issues to be completed - front door frame not square as an example). Overall we had a good experience and plan to stay in the home for quite a while.

The Pulte process is quick and efficient but sometimes disorganized. The home design selections have a sufficient variety to personalize your home to your tastes. Make sure that you feel comfortable, before signing anything with Pulte. Our closing was delayed, due to the 5 hour delay with a 3rd party contractor, late, installing the shower glass. (Pulte will encourage you to wire $$$, before the closing date. We did NOT do that.) Pulte closing company acted in our interest, when requested, with requested escrow set aside for trees, sod, water faucet and refridgerator that were not yet supplied by closing date. It may be months until this is complete. I CANNOT STRESS ENOUGH TO GET A GOOD REALTOR who understands construction and will catch mistakes and email the Project Manager with pictures, etc. Your Realtor should act in YOUR INTEREST and Pulte pays them 2.7%. YOU need an ADVOCATE that looks out for YOU THE BUYER !! (Our Realtors were at every single appt we had. Introduction, design, electrical, pre drywall, walkthru, home videos every 10 days to view progress, etc. ) ... More

Overall a really good experience. It’s always exciting building a new home. Don’t be afraid to take them to task in the little things. It’s a big financial purchase…if you wouldn’t accept a dent on a new car…don’t accept a dent on something that costs 4x’s more. Remember for the most part your new house was built by the lowest bidder. Hold them to task. It’s a big company. People move in and out. You buy expecting everyone to be there through to the end. It’s not likely to end that way. Our construction manager at the beginning was great. During the process and closing was different and much less focused on quality. A lot of excuses, no solutions and no responsibility. A young guy just learning…but still, the one in charge. The best thing Pulte could do is train their construction site bosses with the same customer service that the selling agents use to sell. Everything went pretty well. Sometimes the response time for relatively low, especially once we moved into our home we are having some issues getting a hold of our building manager at times and we’re not notified of some outstanding items and what the timeline is until two weeks after we requested. Also the house is drying out rather quickly and there are some pretty noticeable issues with the drywall and some other quality issues that will be addressed soon

The sales and home design process was great. Our Pulte salesperson and design consultant were both wonderful and I can't say enough good things about Bob. Our experience with the rest of the process (construction and mortage teams) was a mixed bag. As an organization Pulte has great processes and procedures, but they struggled where the rubber actually meets the road in many areas. We are happy with our home, but had to advocate for ourselves far more than we expected to receive what we we expected. I would build a home with Pulte again and I would recommend them to a friend or family member, with strong caution to keep a close eye on the entire process and not anything for granted just because it is promised. ...
