We love our new Pulte home. The entire process went really smooth and we are highly satisfied with everything. Customer service is excellent and they have been really prompt in addressing our questions/concerns

We signed for our new home in March of 2022 and we’re told our home would be ready in the spring….March or April of 2023. Then we were rushed to close in December which only benefited Pulte. Outside brick was installed the day of the closing.

Working with Pulte Homes to build my home was a great experience. Everyone was very helpful through the whole process. Keeping me informed. My build was even a head of schedule by 2 full months!

its great The home have alot of space but there are things that is very poor quality. The poor quality are 1. Windows. some windows leaks and creates draft air, call pulte to come look at the issue they said it normal, I am an home owner and fixed houses every now and then so I know when something is wrong, but pulte will not admit it and said air draft from windows are normal, pulte even mention that their windows are mid grade, to me it is the cheapest on the market. Even menards $200 windows are better and doesnt create air draft, they will not fixed the issue so i'll have to dealt with it myself by buying windows insulation to stop the air draft. if it is not stop your heating bill will up the roof. Also, the doors have draft air from the bottom, this will also have to be address by the owner. Last time i check, menards doors have magnet door insulation so when it closed it slap in tight and will not lead air. I have to buy insulation pads from menards to fix it. 2. Cabinets are cheap considering that is it a 600k house, I would preferred all cabinets to have a good craftmanship and at least have soft closed. 3. Wall Paint, pulte used is the cheapest on the market. Just by touching you can feel the cheapness of the paint and when you put your hands on the wall, they are dust and white stuff. also, the house is very dirty and dusty like no one lives there for months. The floor have paint spot and pulte also mention it is normal which i have to clean it. Basement also very dusty on the floor and I did mention this to pulte they said its normal. Why is this normal it is a brand new house. shouldn't it be clean? 4. The wood studs are 24" apart consider that it is a expensive house it should have been 16". Just my opinion . Lastly, the only good thing about the house that actually cost 600k are the appliance and countertop. 5. Interior doors are cheap. it is hollows consider that the house cost 600k should have been solid doors. The price isnt that much difference as I check at menards. I would not be a customer to pulte in the future. ... More

My biggest problem was the metal cover over the sewer drain in front bedroom

Robb provides fantastic customer service and did a great job throughout the sales process. Updates from the field manager were too infrequent (3 emails in 8 months) and we typically had very minimal notice for any of the build quality meetings. The field supervisor provided great customer service during the final stages of the build. Warranty service is quick to respond and schedule trades to repair.

Very happy with our new home

With numerous curved or bowed walls, workmanship is not the word I would use. This obviously shows that the job supervisors were not observing the quality of work being preformed. Communication was poor form the site supervisors. The home buying experience was great. Robb did a wonderful job and kept us in the loop on everything.

We knew going into this process that there would probably be hiccups and delays, it's a nationwide big builder so things always vary by location, but decently satisfied with the Minnesota team. There was a major issue with mold in the framing stage, but it was remediated (would have preferred a more thorough remediation, but they did communicate ok during the process). They did cover the interest rate lock extension due to this delay pushing us past the original timeline. Our house is nice and new, but definitely not the highest quality (cracks, poor seals, drawers a little crooked). Warranty team is responsive to post-closing issues so far. Overall, solid 3/5 stars - you get a decent house, but it's better to manage your expectations going in, it's not going to be perfect. Also stay on top of issues during the build process - go in regularly and bring up issues to make sure they get corrected. ... More

Home was built with reasonable quality that one would expect from a national builder. Pulte has been very responsive addressing minor issues. Tim, the construction supervisor was very helpful during the build process.

There are so mony great things I can say about the whole process of building and closing on my new home, but I have to say that I have had issues with it being cold in my lower level that are still not resolved after having been in my corner unit for over 7 weeks. Folks - I really dislike leaving bad feedback but, when I say my lower level is cold, I mean it was 45 degrees on that floor with ice coming out of the wall socket, all around the windows and even on my wall. When I would hold a candle up to the socket and window, it would blow out. I have had a really difficult time getting someone out to help and have done everything I can to mitigate the cold myself, but it hasn't really helped. After talking to several people and making multiple phone calls, someone came out about two weeks ago to do an infrared scan of the area. What they found was significant cold coming from the socket and the window on the side of my corner unit. The gentleman said that someone forgot to put insulation around the socket. He ended up filling it with expandable insulation but said he couldn't do anything about the windows. The IR scan, he said, would be sent off to another team and they would call me in about 1-2 business days. A week later, I heard nothing. I started making phone calls again to try and figure out who was supposed to take care of the issue. I was able to contact someone who said that the socket guy did not let anyone know that the windows needed to be fixed and I would get a call from that team in 1-2 business days. Again, another week later, I heard nothing. I called and left a message saying that I never received a call, my lower level is UNLIVEABLE and living like this is unacceptable (it HAS warmed up to 55 degrees though)! I did receive a call back today and was told someone will be coming to look at it tomorrow. I am HOPING this will resolve it, but based on how it has been going, I'm not very confident. ... More

We love many things about our new home. We are disappointed with the quality of some of the "finishing work" - sheet rock; painting; trim work; etc. As example, we just had window coverings installed and some windows have the appearance that shades and blinds look not level and unevenly centered when in reality some of the windows are not square. Perfection is not a reasonable criteria but for the price paid for our home we certainly expected superior quality and craftsmanship. The longer we occupy our home the more and more "shortcuts" we become aware of.

Our Home was initially promised to be delivered Q2 of 2022 but finally got closed in Nov 2022. While we understand there could be delays in construction, there was hardly any communication from Pulte on the delay. We had to ask them a status every month and only then we would get a status from the construction manager. They were unapologetic for the delay as though it’s not their problem at all. For every small issue, we were told to look at the 100+ page contract. There were many issues even at closing which Pulte agreed to fix and few of them are still pending after 2 months. Quality of work is below professional standards. There are walls that are warped and not in straight lines in many places within the house. Buying a brand new home should have been so much more enjoyable than Pulte made it. We love our new home, but it didn't come without various issues and hiccups. I understand the pandemic has impacted global supply chains, but leaving customers to source their own appliances after signing was not a great experience. Constructions delays due to lack of framing crews also caused us to close at a mortgage rate double than what we budgeted, and delays also caused us to miss the deadline for sod before the winter season. Nothing like mud all over a brand new home. Our construction manager is great, but the rest of the experience was lackluster. Living in the home now and as my eye catches things, it's not the craftsmanship I expected with the price we paid. ... More

I would not recommend Pulte.

Poor quality workmanship on high end group 4 kitchen cabinets. Very disappointed on wood work. You can notice many touchups and inconsistencies across the house. Caulk has cracks across. Today I noticed a major crack in the master bath vanity sink.

Very happy with my new townhome. The staff was great to work with and the walk thru, construction managers, post-sale questions have all been a great experience.

I entered a contingency purchase agreement and within 24 hours the house I chose was shown & offered to another buyer. Luckily my realtor was able to sell my house so I could remove the contingency. The quality of the carpet & flooring is low. There are numerous flaws in the drywall finish and paint (gouges, and rough areas) I requested repairs on 2 particular areas and both were not smoothed or filled. They were merely painted over. I requested assistance with the reprogramming my garage door opener but I was contacted when I was wasn’t available and never received a follow up. The same uncovered light fixtures that are in the garage are in the dining area and flex room. ... More

Higher a third-party inspector for the house We did find a couple of things that needed to be fixed and Pulte took care of that.

This was our first new build and it hasn’t been the easiest experience. We have been in the house almost two months and we are still waiting for items to be fixed. For the price we paid for our home, I would have expected the house be to be perfect and the highest quality - something it has not been. I feel as if once the house was bought, we have been forgotten about. Our neighbors are complaining about many of the same items as we are. We had expected issues to be fixed prior to closing and the same items have yet to be completed. I hope that Pulte will in the end fix our issues soon.

Pulte works with you through the whole process & keeps you informed about the building process! It was a great experience.

Overall, very good experience, any issues have been dealt with in a timely and professional manner - friendly service on sales and construction end as well. The only challenge was the mortgage portion. In the end it was fine. Perhaps more emphasis should be in communications on that end - speak to the homeowners' level of understanding. Most prospective home buyers do not have a wealth of experience on the ins and outs of the mortgage process/system. Figures and terms can become difficult to keep up with and clearly understand. For most people this is the biggest purchase of their lives. They should have a crystal clear understanding of all the details. Again, it turned out just fine. Good experience overall. ... More

This was my first experience with buying a brand new home. Pulte staff - from initial sales to closing - was thoroughly professional. They addressed all my concerns in a manner that was both timely and easily understood. Would recommend Pulte without hesitation.
