We knew going into this process that there would probably be hiccups and delays, it's a nationwide big builder so things always vary by location, but decently satisfied with the Minnesota team. There was a major issue with mold in the framing stage, but it was remediated (would have preferred a more thorough remediation, but they did communicate ok during the process). They did cover the interest rate lock extension due to this delay pushing us past the original timeline. Our house is nice and new, but definitely not the highest quality (cracks, poor seals, drawers a little crooked). Warranty team is responsive to post-closing issues so far. Overall, solid 3/5 stars - you get a decent house, but it's better to manage your expectations going in, it's not going to be perfect. Also stay on top of issues during the build process - go in regularly and bring up issues to make sure they get corrected. ... More

Home was built with reasonable quality that one would expect from a national builder. Pulte has been very responsive addressing minor issues. Tim, the construction supervisor was very helpful during the build process.

There are so mony great things I can say about the whole process of building and closing on my new home, but I have to say that I have had issues with it being cold in my lower level that are still not resolved after having been in my corner unit for over 7 weeks. Folks - I really dislike leaving bad feedback but, when I say my lower level is cold, I mean it was 45 degrees on that floor with ice coming out of the wall socket, all around the windows and even on my wall. When I would hold a candle up to the socket and window, it would blow out. I have had a really difficult time getting someone out to help and have done everything I can to mitigate the cold myself, but it hasn't really helped. After talking to several people and making multiple phone calls, someone came out about two weeks ago to do an infrared scan of the area. What they found was significant cold coming from the socket and the window on the side of my corner unit. The gentleman said that someone forgot to put insulation around the socket. He ended up filling it with expandable insulation but said he couldn't do anything about the windows. The IR scan, he said, would be sent off to another team and they would call me in about 1-2 business days. A week later, I heard nothing. I started making phone calls again to try and figure out who was supposed to take care of the issue. I was able to contact someone who said that the socket guy did not let anyone know that the windows needed to be fixed and I would get a call from that team in 1-2 business days. Again, another week later, I heard nothing. I called and left a message saying that I never received a call, my lower level is UNLIVEABLE and living like this is unacceptable (it HAS warmed up to 55 degrees though)! I did receive a call back today and was told someone will be coming to look at it tomorrow. I am HOPING this will resolve it, but based on how it has been going, I'm not very confident. ... More

We love many things about our new home. We are disappointed with the quality of some of the "finishing work" - sheet rock; painting; trim work; etc. As example, we just had window coverings installed and some windows have the appearance that shades and blinds look not level and unevenly centered when in reality some of the windows are not square. Perfection is not a reasonable criteria but for the price paid for our home we certainly expected superior quality and craftsmanship. The longer we occupy our home the more and more "shortcuts" we become aware of.

Our Home was initially promised to be delivered Q2 of 2022 but finally got closed in Nov 2022. While we understand there could be delays in construction, there was hardly any communication from Pulte on the delay. We had to ask them a status every month and only then we would get a status from the construction manager. They were unapologetic for the delay as though it’s not their problem at all. For every small issue, we were told to look at the 100+ page contract. There were many issues even at closing which Pulte agreed to fix and few of them are still pending after 2 months. Buying a brand new home should have been so much more enjoyable than Pulte made it. We love our new home, but it didn't come without various issues and hiccups. I understand the pandemic has impacted global supply chains, but leaving customers to source their own appliances after signing was not a great experience. Constructions delays due to lack of framing crews also caused us to close at a mortgage rate double than what we budgeted, and delays also caused us to miss the deadline for sod before the winter season. Nothing like mud all over a brand new home. Our construction manager is great, but the rest of the experience was lackluster. I would not recommend Pulte.

Poor quality workmanship on high end group 4 kitchen cabinets. Very disappointed on wood work. You can notice many touchups and inconsistencies across the house. Caulk has cracks across. Today I noticed a major crack in the master bath vanity sink.

Very happy with my new townhome. The staff was great to work with and the walk thru, construction managers, post-sale questions have all been a great experience.

I entered a contingency purchase agreement and within 24 hours the house I chose was shown & offered to another buyer. Luckily my realtor was able to sell my house so I could remove the contingency. The quality of the carpet & flooring is low. There are numerous flaws in the drywall finish and paint (gouges, and rough areas) I requested repairs on 2 particular areas and both were not smoothed or filled. They were merely painted over. I requested assistance with the reprogramming my garage door opener but I was contacted when I was wasn’t available and never received a follow up. Higher a third-party inspector for the house We did find a couple of things that needed to be fixed and Pulte took care of that.

This was our first new build and it hasn’t been the easiest experience. We have been in the house almost two months and we are still waiting for items to be fixed. For the price we paid for our home, I would have expected the house be to be perfect and the highest quality - something it has not been. I feel as if once the house was bought, we have been forgotten about. Our neighbors are complaining about many of the same items as we are. We had expected issues to be fixed prior to closing and the same items have yet to be completed. I hope that Pulte will in the end fix our issues soon.

Pulte works with you through the whole process & keeps you informed about the building process! It was a great experience.

Overall, very good experience, any issues have been dealt with in a timely and professional manner - friendly service on sales and construction end as well. The only challenge was the mortgage portion. In the end it was fine. Perhaps more emphasis should be in communications on that end - speak to the homeowners' level of understanding. Most prospective home buyers do not have a wealth of experience on the ins and outs of the mortgage process/system. Figures and terms can become difficult to keep up with and clearly understand. This was my first experience with buying a brand new home. Pulte staff - from initial sales to closing - was thoroughly professional. They addressed all my concerns in a manner that was both timely and easily understood. Would recommend Pulte without hesitation.

Our experience began with Kelley who was nothing short of fabulous. Whenever we had a question or concern, she was on top of it. Likewise, our construction manager, Tim, was helpful with all adjustments and questions. Our home came out wonderfully. The workmanship and attention to detail is evident and we're excited to have family and friends visit to see our new home.

Heidi the agent who showed me the Pulte homes was awesome from start to close. I am high maintenance and had a lot of questions and requests. It was also a stressful time for me as interest rates were climbing fast and home prices were starting to move down for the first time in a long time. Heidi stayed steady and confident. She was highly responsive, reassuring, and highly professional/appropriate as I was anxious. In addition Ryan has been great to work with. He was extremely detailed with his walk through and has kept me well informed as work is being done to finish the exterior and the remaining homes on my street. Pros: The construction manager was very nice and responsive to questions about the build process and timeline. We were able to choose between different packages for the design (flooring, paint color, cabinet color, appliances). The end product is awesome and I'm very happy with having a new build home. Cons: The painters got paint on everything (light fixtures, flooring). There are two stains on the carpet in one of the bedrooms. The blinds that Pulte had as an option do not work (loud clicks and don't close all the way).

The experience of buying this home was okay. Yes beautiful house and location BUT they were extremely late. They kept pushing the closing date back and back and at the same time the interest rates were going up and up. That of course did not benefit us at all. The people that showed us the final result, Mark was awesome, very nice guy. he was very helpful.

Let me start by saying the Pulte employees attached to the Hawthorne development have been professional and great to work with. Robb, the Community realtor, was amazing! I know this neighborhood experienced a lot of vendor issues for the construction manager while my home was being built and this was my first new construction home but I am a bit shocked at the workmanship. Everything appears to have been a rush job and not a lot of pride displayed. For the price point I paid, I did expect a higher quality finish. It was explained that the house would go through 3 professional cleans during the process, however after closing I had to go spend several days deep cleaning. Could tell toilets were used several times, a sticky substance was on countertops and floors, dead bugs all over, etc. I upgraded my main floor flooring and countless boards are cracked due to installation, several screens on the windows were missing, garbage cans in pull out drawer were missing, cracked tile in shower that was still installed, paint sprayed on floors, paint drips down walls, holes in wall/drywall, garage door doesn’t lock, and so on. The Care Team, Angela and Paul, have been wonderful to partner with to hopefully get it all resolved soon. Well built house and great area but I’m still waiting on my roof to be looked at!

Thought we were going to get a quality home and instead we got a used house that we've been fixing ever since we moved in.(it's new construction bit doesn't feel like it it) The construction manager Mike was NOT helpful at getting things resolved prior to us moving is even though he was informed of all the issues. DO NOT expect great things if you go with Pulte.
