Every room in the house has to be repaired. Tape marks, gouges in the walls, baseboard corners don’t match up. Caulking in sinks not completed correctly. All concerns have been reported and so far they will be addressed.

The home-buying process was average overall. While the transaction went through, there were several cleanup issues that required more attention. There are nails sticking out under the bar that need to removed immediately. The gate was falling down after a few days of moving in. We still need the directions on how to set up the thermostat to our phones. Additionally, the lack of a thank-you gift or gesture from the Pulte realtor felt impersonal and left a lukewarm impression. This could have been handled with more care and attention to detail. We purchased a home from Toll 4.5 years ago ...

Very informative. For quality and workmanship, we found electrical issues on ceiling electrical system that always have power for ceiling fans wiring even switch is turn off (it was corrected). No power above the island ceiling electrical lighting & Job request has been submitted to fix. Still awaiting dates on delivery of the fridge unit, bar cooler unit and selected garage door.

Be sure to put everything in black and white when you're negotiating the deal with Pulte. We were promised with small a upgrade by the sales rep but it never happened by closing, no explaination, no responds. Also I recommend hiring a third party home inspector to do a pre walk through inspection, it will save you a lot of time spotting items to repair.

Love our home, but ......

The quality of materials and workmanship is disappointing given the pricing of these homes. You would think for the money, you would receive "upgraded" items compared to the other builders. Upgrades are ridiculously expensive and when you do upgrade, the workmanship is sloppy (trimming not aligned, sloppy caulking, paint on everything; the carpets, faucets, countertops, windows, just to name a few). When asked to have things fixed during the walk-through, it wasn't any better. We're better off fixing everything ourselves. On the flipside, our building supervisor was amazing! If it ...

For the most part the house buying experience was great. The options studio and sales offices were great, and always were responsive in answering our questions and taking care of business. When it came down to the near completion walkthroughs, and following to spec that was laid for the builders and workers, there was a quality issue. Issues were brought up and required several requests to get an answer on. Several times we went through the sales office to get info from our onsite contacts. There were outstanding issues that were never answered, and issues that still may be present in the ...

Thought Pulte was a step up from budget builders like KB. They had many issues during construction that we had to stay on top of. Then when we moved in still many more unresolved. We're now working with them to resolve so they will hopefully come through.

Thoughts About Pulte Purchase Amid Covid-19 Fears

  • Anonymous

During this COVID-19 outbreak, I am reluctant to get any issues regarding my new home at Reverence resolved. And yes, there are many. Some big, some small, ranging from a hot water heater that doesn't deliver, to a sagging kitchen sink improperly installed with it's caulking falling out. All in all, I am most discouraged by the quality of workmanship that went into building this new home as well as being very dissatisfied with the quality of materials installed. Have some been repurposed? Will I have to spend additional money to redo things? For now I have to let go of these concerns. ...

Overall it was a nice experience. Had an issue with an exterior paint color being wrong and it took a couple months to resolve. Initial walk through was disappointing. Interior paint was done horribly every wall needed to be repainted in multiple spots. Paint spots left on the floor in multiple locations. Missing a mirror in guest bathroom. The master had different sized mirrors. Missing a vent in a closet. Guest bedroom bathroom door refuses to stay open. The ceiling access panel was left on the floor. Backyard lights weren’t installed. The initial walk through seemed like a waste of time ...

I’ve had continuously problems with the workers.

I have had worker throw their trash on the ground across from where I live and not picking up after themselves which in turn blows into my yard. I’ve been filling up my own container full of energy drink cans, fast food wrappers and plastic foom. This probably sounds minimal but is turning into a everyday occurrence. What do you think that conveys to new buyers when the new house across the street is covered in trash from the workers. We like the house but you need to do better.

I was able to watch the house being built. I have a niece that purchased around the same time her house was LGI. The quality on her home was much better. The fit of the framing we had cracked studs large gaps in cross pieces patched in with 6 so so nails. overall I would not purchase another Pulte home.

I was excited to purchase a lot and have Pulte build a house for my family. Below grade work went well. We paid for two floor outlets, and only one was installed, so the slab had to be cut later for the second. It makes me wonder if anything else was missed underground. After we moved in, we did have the drains cleaned at no cost to us because the landscapers had filled the clean-out with gravel. Some very rough lumber was used and spliced instead of being replaced. Plumbing had to be moved to fit in walls, outlet boxes are on twisted studs, and many are to deep to be flush with finished ...

The sub contractors Pulte uses are fast and careless with their work. This results in mistakes and errors that plague the homeowner.

Trusted the building process but quality of work is terrible after move in

Within a month of living in the home we have had multiple issues with electric work, plumbing, garage door, seals for faucets and floors, nails sticking out in the carpets. I believe we’ve had 4 different electricians that have had to come fix things and 2 different plumbers for multiple issues. I would highly suggest anyone who is purchasing get their own third party inspector to make sure work is done correctly. Warranty manager has been quick with scheduling people to get issues fixed but there shouldn’t have been so many issues to begin with

Use extreme caution on knowing all the rules, associations involved and before you sign off on walk through go through it with a fine tooth comb. In fact spend the money for a home inspector even though the house is new.
