Our home buying experience was one of the worst - this was my 6th new home purchase. It was horrible for a constellation of reasons. It started with the sales agent giving misinformation on more than one occasion, a sales manager who was spiteful when confronted with issues or challenges in her approach, a design center that appears to have the philosophy of “you will take what we want to give you” and not the “customer is right or valued philosophy. These two general issues caused a large amount of distress in the home buying experience - making it a day to day nightmare. Within this, the quality of the home is fairly low budget. Upgraded toilets are cheap, not non-handle water savers, white rubber plumbing fixtures are used, a low volt transformer for your door bell that won’t even accommodate the Nest Bell, low budget cabinet where you’re forced to spend over $10k to even start to get soft close hinges, texture spray on the wall is awful, low quality doors for the rooms, terrible splitting framing around the doors, a garage header frame that was built over and inch off so the front of the house looks crooked and on and on. Pulte has employed field managers who just talk you into how to accept the warranty issue instead of insisting on repair (a warranty issue takes 30 days to repair). The field manager also wanted us to move in without our refrigerator that we upgraded through Pulte. In short, I would never buy another Pulte home in this market and equate its product to a budget builder where it charges handsomely for the home and increase upgrade prices every month. I can say, I had to threaten to take legal action because of all the issues and the response I was getting from both the sales tram and the field manager. House not completed for walkthrough, no quality checks were performed by Pulte, all issue identification was left up to us as the customer, promised by builder that issues would be resolved by closing and they were not. Forced to close with 77 open issues like leaking pipes, damage to cabinets and other finishes, uninstalled features, missing paint, chipped tiles, etc. As soon as we closed it was like we did not exist. It has been left to us to coordinate, schedule, and communicate issues with the trades, as our Pulte field manager told us he was moving to a new development across the street and did not have time to follow through on all the issues we discussed before, during, and after closing. Pulte sells you the "Build Quality Experience" and says they are the highest of quality. There was no oversight of the work along the way, that is obvious by the poor quality and numerous mistakes. There was no inspection by Pulte, they looked to us to point out even the most obvious damage and needed fixes. We are 6 weeks passed closing and our house is torn up with partial fixes, most items not addressed at all, and many items worked multiple times and still not acceptable. I would not recommend Pulte, they have not taken any pride in their product, and along the way each Pulte representative has pointed at someone else as being responsible. ... More

After moving in, we found the garage was not insulated contrary to our purchase agreement. It then took numerous calls and threat of legal action to get this resolved. The contractors did a haphazard job fixing the issue. It also took multiple contractors multiple days to finish the work.

Definitely not high standard compare to what you pay. Aims walls are not straight , and lots of thing you find out after final walk in. Poor quality. Not to mention the sales people ( at least ours on that time) that wasn’t clear about very important information about your lot we purchased , without showing us the real space and back yard we are getting - just let us add 30K more for ‘premium lot’ with worse shape of yard than regular lot. We found out after we paid the deposit and after they start building. Will never buy from Pulte again , 30K extra laid for nothing ! For extra space you can’t really use ( back of the house and front of the house) and getting bad shape of back yard. ... More

Poor communication from the beginning. Poor quality, poor craftsmanship, deceitful. Overall regretting choosing Pulte and we have turned all our friends that were looking at Pulte a different direction.

Would probably not buy with Pulte again. House was rushed to meet their deadline. Warranty having to repair things that were already repaired prior to close. Very unhappy about this.

After careful decision of which builder to purchase our retirement home and Pulte with good reputation we were very disappointed. From sales to home building supervisors. The home was delivered very poor with so many things to fix. With spending too much on options and they were not in excellent condition. The luck of communication to make the homeowner feel assure is definitely not there. We have to do the follow up ourselves and hope that it’ll be taken care of.

The best part of Pulte is the sales people that sell you on the house. They are polite and responsive. Everything after is a nightmare. So many issues with the build. Everything is broken and after living here for a month, the tape starts to peel from the walls. They use cheap and unqualified laborers sub-contracted 3 times over to save as much money on your build as they can. I have multiple broken items, broken quartz sink, broken stove, cracked upgraded glass, and so much more. All on a new house that cost about 1 million. They pretend to follow up but don't. They just send emails and defer you to other companies. Do not trust them, they lack integrity. If you don't believe me, join the neighborhood social media groups, you will see for yourself.
