So many oversights during construction. Supervisor (Dom) made promises that never happened, lied about carpet pad being replaced after a second plumbing leak. He said he inspected the plumbing after each time the master tub was installed (4 times)Two days after our walk through none of the work on our punch-list was done and then all the blue tape that was used to mark deficiencies was taken down without any of the work being done. workmanship not worth the value for the price paid for the house, homeowner needs to do the work of the supervisor in order to get the job done, provided they have the time, or they will have nothing but issues.

The Pulte home we just purchased is our fourth new home purchase and has been the most disappointing experience by far. Pulte is the exclusive builder in the area we purchased in. After numerous meetings with a sales agent we were not made aware of some key design options. One was very important and not explained thoroughly. The total costs for what I consider to be modest upgrades represented more than 50% of the base cost of the home/lot. An example of the lack of trustworthiness is on our cabinets. Spent $38K in upgrades and after closing we started to unpack and all of the 24" deep lower cabinets in the kitchen, laundry room and bathrooms had small 6" shelves. No shelves that were the full depth. This eliminates the ability to utilize the cabinet space. When approached about this concern we were told the come as is and these shelves will not be provided. This configuration was not disclosed during the options selection process. There are other examples I could provide. Regarding quality workmanship and materials. Our warranty repair list is at roughly 25 items. One example on this is the AC pad, simply walking around it to inspect it caused the pad/cement to crumble. When repair technicians have come out to fix warranty issues they don't speak english so its literally impossible to communicate. Repairs themselves have also not been up to par. One example of lack of responsiveness is our farmhouse kitchen sink. Upon final walk-through, we discovered a chip/crack which was clearly caused by someone dropping a tool in the sink. nearly 60 days later we still do not have a new sink or a repair done on it. When we started looking for homes, this was the first time we heard about Pulte. From the very beginning, we were really catered to. From the offices in Dever all the way to the staff in Nevada, everyone was super professional. The house and the PRICE is truly incredible. I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

The quality of workmanship on these houses is extremely disappointing. 1 month in and they have to replace the sub-floor in the laundry room because it has a huge hump in it (FYI-Pulte knows this is an existing issue in all Modena homes) and have to tear apart and move a wall because it is not straight/square with the rest of the area. This shows the poor workmanship by the framer. The framer comes in and complains the whole time about making the repair and blaming it on other trades. The field management team and their unprofessional from day 1. They did not make the repairs necessary that were suppose to be completed from the walk through delaying my crew to do their construction which repeated for over a month. They finally come in a make the repairs and they are not done correctly. They put a band-aid on the sub-floor and had to fight to get it replaced. They can't be trusted to make the repairs correctly. I had to escalate it up to a corporate office locally and that still gave me mediocre results. Overall, I will never recommend Pulte again due to the lack of professionalism and commitment to get the house built right from the field management team and the continuous arguing from the so called "customer service" repair team. ... Quality seems a little above average, I am not unsatisfied but not fully satisfied. I understand that with new fast construction there's going to be issues. First, had concern when one of our paid upgrades wasn't implemented and we ended up having it removed as to not delay our closing. Beer bottles under our tub in the dirt, then my husband recently went in the attic and there was another beer can. It's going on two months since closing and still haven't received any follow-up call or email from Pulte asking if there are any issues. Our back fence is against the street and substantially lower than both our neighbors to the side of us. Many minor cosmetic issues with our upgraded cabinets, looks as if they were painted and paint didn't dry evenly (some areas looks scratchy). Our leftover paint that were left in the garage don't match our walls, andvwe had to purchase a can of paint which cost us alnost $50 to paint and do touch ups. It seems there's an issue with our cold water, it's more lukewarm or room temperatute and doesn't get close to getting cold, no matter how long you let it run. The standard carpet is hideous, if we would have known how cheap and unsightly it would look, we definitely would have upgraded. The upgrade for prewire was never completed because we had to call an outside party to finish the wiring. Our front door is chipped and we'll probably have to pay to replace it. ... More

Felt like the home was rushed a lot of cracks and side boards look rushed. Paint on the outside of the house is still not finished like I was told.

Lots of punch list and pick up items were not completed prior to closing and now after closing post 6 weeks they are still not even started. The design center should have had better pricing for the consumer to compare and contrast, and should have had more options. The side yard set backs are terrible and need to enhance the community property better.

Our family is so happy with the quality, design and beauty of our new home. The process was clear and interactive. The Pulte team was amazing to work with. Flexible options were key to our home fitting our needs and wants. We are so happy and will always recommend Pulte!

Good quality build, but trim and paint finished could be better.

We recently relocated from Connecticut to Nevada and visited many communities for our new home and happily discovered Catalina in North Las Vegas by Pulte. The Catalina community exceeded our expectations in terms of quality and workmanship as well as the correct price-point to meet our new home budget. What a wonderful experience it was during the entire process of us acquiring our new dream home in Nevada. The sales staff was absolutely fantastic as well as the building staff and the Pulte Mortgage representatives. We also don't won't to leave out our exciting experience with Pulte's design process and staff which allowed us to really put that personal touch to our new dream home. Moved into a beautiful new home thinking all would be perfect, now after 4-8 weeks nothing but issues from carpet coming up in the corners seams splitting, horrible wall texturing, corners not even close to being somewhat square, holes in drywall counter tops having to be replaced due to not installed correctly, hole under kitchen island with rebar coming through it. I’m not happy with this home. Thought it would be a amazing thing being a home owner but nothing but headaches. On the plus side was the builder lender they where the only professionals in my book. The home Quility is trash

Overall the buying experience was great and the builder reps were very quick to get us in under our time restraint. In time I will be able to speak more on build quality and responsiveness to issues.

We purchased our home in February, closed in July and moved in at the end of July of 2019. During construction, the house was always a total mess with garbage thrown everywhere and graffiti written on the slab. Prior to the house was not cleaned nor was it cleaned post-close. The issues that were noted on the walk-through were not addressed prior to move-in. We are now in the process (end of August) having the issues fixed. Our construction manager simply walked away and handed us off to customer service without completing the walk-through list.

Pulte Homes and their sales office were fantastic, along with their walk thru team. However, Pulte Mortgage was the worst company I have ever dealt with and would never do a loan through them again. As a Realtor and someone who has purchased many homes, I have never had a worst experience.

It's difficult to thoughtfully rate our home buying experience in such a brief summarization. By far there are more positives than negatives. Building a home is a huge undertaking, and no matter how hard you plan, there will be things that go wrong. Unfortunately those are the things that stand out when asked in a rating like this. My advice, it's really important to be very detailed oriented and go over each step with a fine-tooth comb, and then go over it again. This is my first purchase but I am no stranger to the process since I have been with many family members during there purchases. I have to say that my overall experience was excellent! Nobody is perfect so if your looking for no hiccups along the road your dreaming. My sales lady Carol was absolutely amazing and 100% responsible for me purchasing a Pulte Home. Alex my builder manager on site was responsive and kind even when I was picky about every little thing. The finance department although very frustrating at times did a good job since I have heard horror stories about other finance companies and people’s experience. If you pay close attention and have all your paperwork in order Pulte mortgage is just fine. The overall quality of Pulte’s homes is excellent. They are a typical builder building as many homes as possible which means technique and attention to detail sometimes slip but they are the best I have seen and making sure things are clean and looking perfect for you move in. I will definitely be recommending and purchasing a Pulte home again in my lifetime! ... More

Initial sales process very smooth and efficient. Home finish details poor. Very difficult to get issues corrected after the sale. Craftsmanship lacking on fit and finish.
