I like whole team of Pulte

I had originally purchased a new home build from Toll Brothers. I waited over 18 months for the house to be finished and it was a complete mess once it was completed by Toll Brothers standards. Very poor quality workmanship from many of the trades they used. Almost seemed like DIY quality of work in many areas on a home over one million dollars. I sold that and took a loss to purchase a Pulte built home. The quality of Pulte is night and day difference compared to most builders that I saw in the local area. The work being done in these homes is actually being managed and the level of finish is very nice without me having to pick the home apart. Our Salesperson, Karen has been wonderful!!! Any questions along the way have been answered in a very timely manner. She’s a ray of sunshine in this whole experience! Alex, our Project Manager addressed any building questions and concerns that came up. He’s very professional and made our building process less stressful. The build quality of the home is solid. There’s still construction going on around us, and honestly, when we’re inside the house we barely hear it… we’re so happy we chose to go with a Pulte home.

My sales person Laurel was terrific, she never tired of all my questions, changes of mind and even helped me change homes when one became available. I haven’t seen her since the house closed, but I wanted to let her know how great she was. The home itself is beautiful, Chad and Joel were really helpful during the walk through and following up on any last minute fixes that needed to take place before the close. In fact they even stop by now that we have closed to make sure we don’t need anything else. We have submitted a couple of things to warranty and they are working through those requests now. Overall: We are very pleased with Pulte's personnel and our purchase. Our overall experience with Pulte exceeded that which we had with another builder the previous year, which was also pretty good. Our Pulte sales agent MARY differentiated herself from the very beginning. This market was red hot for sellers/builders. I interacted with ~5 different builders on my hunt. All very nice people. But Mary gained my trust very early on, and because of that had me look more closely at Pulte. I have been in customer-facing roles, and led customer-facing teams for more than 3 decades. High integrity, knowledgeable, transparent, directly-answer-the-question-asked-straight-shooters, as best as I can discern, are what I value most. From the moment Mary and I first met 2 months prior to this community even having homes for sale, through hundreds of questions and interactions throughout the process, to closing and even still post-close, Mary exceeded those values. I could go into detailed specifics, but will leave it at the summary for the purposes of this review. We'd also commend our field manager Justin. SUPER responsive and THOROUGH(!) and honest. We greatly appreciated having had him as our field manager. We even had opportunity to interact 1-2x with the GM Anisa. Very friendly in a genuine way. Overall very pleasant interactions. Beyond the people-interactions throughout, thus far we have noticed only very minor fixes needed. To make this a useful review, we will add our top constructive critique: Our #1 agitation by a landslide was with the flooring. (A) Pulte's policy was they do not install planks on the stairs or upstairs hallways. (B) Nor did their design center offer the specific planks we wanted anyway. Thus, given (A) and (B), since we intended to have planks throughout the whole house, the least messy (and wasteful) way to R&R the flooring after close (since apparently the inspector would not allow us to close with a concrete floor), would be to have Pulte install carpet in the dry areas (which could be removed and given away) and sheet vinyl in the wet areas (easy to remove) throughout. Easy right? But when we requested the sheet vinyl option - that was actually listed as an option on our option sheet they sent us for our community - we were told that that was a "mistake" and sheet vinyl was not available "for our community." So they mandated grouted-in ceramic tile as the only "standard" option for the wet areas. So we had to jack up the ceramic tile the day we got the key. A unnecessary waste and mess. Okay. It is what it is: sheer gamesmanship to get a certain amount of people to purchase upgraded flooring through Pulte (the least competitive prices of all their design center categories). Perhaps Pulte "wins" more than it "loses" with this tactic. But it is the main thing that soiled our overall experience since it seemed to betray the integrity and transparency that made our experience so positive with all the front-line customer-facing personnel and that I specifically praised above. Therefore, this public review itself would lack integrity and transparency if I did not specifically call this particular tactic out in this critique. Hope this is useful to someone. From start to finish, my home buying experience was exceptional. From Andrew in sales, to Rob and Kim during the mortgage process, to Derrick keeping me updated during the build process. I was extremely satisfied.

We had an awesome experience (Builders team)from the initial purchase of the home from the help/ extended by the sales rep(JC) who helped us thru the process. To the customer care manager(BP)who was very responsive and accommodating in resolving issues with the new home much to our grateful satisfaction. Thank you.

Home is well-built, fairly priced and the client experience has been great. Pulte is a well-oiled machine offering beautiful homes, great financing incentives and great service.

The process was made easy with all the online interactive software

Building a home can be stressful. But with Pulte they explain every step of the way. If something needs attention the construction manager is just a text away. Super personal service!! Pulte made a “house” our home.

The journey itself for a new build, learned numerous things!

We recently closed on our new Pulte home in the Reverence community of Summerlin Nevada. Our experience was great and we highly recommend the whole Pulte team. Every phase of the process from the purchase of the home to the walk through was enjoyable. It is important to note that we lived out of state the entire time! The Pulte sales agent, Karen, was extremely helpful and informative and she quickly responded to all of our many questions. Our sales agent, Carrie with Keller Williams Realty Southwest, went above and beyond what was required and assisted us every step of the way! The superintendent of the building of our home was Steve and he was excellent. He promptly addressed all of our concerns and he even managed to accommodate some late changes that we made. He followed through after the closing and made sure that everything was exactly right. We would definitely build with Pulte homes again. ... More

We specifically wanted to buy a Pulte home after multiple visits to model homes in the Las Vegas area. We visited Las Vegas repeatedly while visiting our adult child who moved here. During our visits we always looked at model homes for entertainment reasons, lookie loo. We don't gamble and we knew we would eventually move here. Once we sold our home in another state and actually moved here to Las Vegas, the Pulte home we selected met all of our criteria. After researching builders with a local real estate agent, we were overjoyed when the lot we wanted became available and we immediately put down our earnest money down and went under contract. The only negative, which really isn't a negative, is the wait from picking the lot to watching the house be built. Going to the design center to pick interior options was something the wife and I shared. Then when the build began, it was the longest 94 days not counting weekends. It was exciting to come by the property on Sundays and take pictures. From dirt lot, to poured slab, to framing, then roofing then the interior being finished to finally the doors were locked which indicated that the appliances were installed. The day we signed our loan documents and then it closed 3 days later and we received our keys, we were pretty excited. Pulte Homes met our needs, thank you. The "but..." in the title and the 4 star rating for trusworthiness is for the construction superintendent who made a promise for a missing item but 7 weeks later still haven't received the item. -JH ... Overall I love my new home. The home is well constructed. There were some items that needed to be repaired but the Manager responsible for handling these items was very responsive in getting these items resolved.

Detail on workmanship; mainly the painting; was poor

Good experience buying the house, everyone we worked with was very helpful.

We recently relocated from Connecticut to Nevada and visited many communities for our new home and happily discovered Catalina in North Las Vegas by Pulte. The Catalina community exceeded our expectations in terms of quality and workmanship as well as the correct price-point to meet our new home budget. What a wonderful experience it was during the entire process of us acquiring our new dream home in Nevada. The sales staff was absolutely fantastic as well as the building staff and the Pulte Mortgage representatives. We also don't won't to leave out our exciting experience with Pulte's design process and staff which allowed us to really put that personal touch to our new dream home. Pulte did a great job in building my new house as the superintendent (Dominic) was very responsive to my questions and managed the construction to a very high quality as my separate 3rd party inspection did not result in any findings but insignificant cosmetic items.

Home well constructed and built quickly.

Great neighborhood and nice single level floor plans.

The toilets in particular, are too porous. They stain too easily. Otherwise, everything meets with our satisfaction.
